Not a nightmare.
Love's balloon burst on his face. There he woke with a jolt, heart hammering against his ribs. He would never call that a nightmare seeing that his pretty damsel, Claire was in it. In the dream, she led him by the hand to a dark corner filled with balloons and then she faced the wall while making his hands hold her waist tightly. Her skin was warm even through fabric. They were pants down and then, the absurdly loud moaning filled the room. It echoed off the walls, reckless and unashamed. His moans were louder than hers, raw and desperate, and somehow it was music to his ears. He could still feel the tremor of it in his chest when he opened his eyes. Oh, how he loved her.
A year ago, he came as a transfer student to Hellington college, skeptical about how it would turn out. Now, he could not help but be eternally grateful to his guardian for bringing him here. It was at Hellington that he met the most beautiful, Claire. He could almost perceive the Arabian scent from her perfume even now.
"Snap out of it man!", Trent said as he nudged at his head. Trent was his only roomie, loud, loyal, and completely immune to romance.
"What the hell Trent", Lardner sparked as he glanced at his phone and noticed the time. 8:47. "Damn, I'm running late for geopolitics class". It was the only course that Claire also offered. He could not afford to miss the class, to seat close to her, breathe the same air she was breathing, observe how her eyelashes flickered as the Professor kept rumbling about borders and treaties. Who knows, he might be able to hold up a conversation today, maybe even make her laugh.
With speed, he dashed to the bathroom, toothbrush still in hand, ignoring Trent as the fellow laughed him to scorn from the bed.
