Girlfriend --- The days were passing like a blur. The opening of the new school year is just two weeks away from now. And it's been two weeks since my last encounter with Rious. Well, everybody is calling him Ker. I prefer to call him Rious, though. It sounds like the name of my future husband. "Arghh! I'm so crazy for him!!!" I wiggled my leg and felt my cheeks burning. I snuggled under my pillow and screamed like anyone else who got what they wanted. Whenever I think of him, I just feel like I'm on cloud nine. Forget about butterflies because I can literally feel the whole zoo in my stomach just by thinking of him. I never got to meet him again after my birthday party. Through the two weeks, I was content looking at his photos on social media. He does have an i********: with millions of followers. It's crazy how he got so many followers when he just had one post in his feed. It's a picture of his dog with a caption: Love of my life, summer. I love being myself, but sometimes I wish I was a dog named Summer. "What the actual f**k are you doing, Rhyme Caramel?" Amara squinted her eyes in puzzle at my actions. Not very lady-like. Let alone my prim and proper facade which she got used to. I immediately got out of my bed and jumped to hug her. "Maraaaa, honey! You're here! I miss you! And I think I'm in love, Mara!" I merrily said to her. She just looks at me like I've grown some d**k in my head. No boy ever caught my interest. This is the first time. And I liked this. The feeling of getting giddy over someone. "I'm calling the mental hospital right now. Stop it. You're scaring me." She rolled her eyes at me and comfortably lay on my bed. "No! I'm serious, Hon. I'm in love with someone right now. As in at this moment." I clinged my arms in hers. "Being in love is not something you can joke about, Rhyme baby." She patted my head like I'm a kid! "It's a serious thing that should be taken seriously. And! It's for adults only. You're sixteen, it's just an infatuation." I knotted my eyebrows. I find her words ridiculous. "Infatuation?! No it's not! I know it! This is not infatuation. This is love, Amara Reign. Believe me, I didn't know why either." I walked towards the glass window that overlooks the bustling city. I was lost in my thoughts. Am I really just infatuated? "Hmm. Okay, I believe you. Let's go to the Mall. Mama asked me to shop for my school supplies early to avoid the rush." I smiled and nodded at her. The only way to find out if my feelings are infatuated or not is to meet him again! If my stupid heart beats fas, confirmed! I'm in love with him. If not, that'll be sad... For him. "Let's go!" I bid goodbye to Mommy, and we headed to the Supermarket Mall. Amara was so cautious about what to put in her cart, while I just put anything that I see pleasing in my eyes when I really don't know if it'll be useful to me when the time comes. Whatever! I shouldn't waste myself thinking about petty things. It's an Amara thing, mine is different. I saw a cute red notebook that had a cover page of Taylor Swift, featuring her Bad Blood song. It was so cute! I need this! I loved it! I happily walked back to my cart to put my newly found favorite notebook when I suddenly bumped into someone making me drop my red notebook! What the hell? I was ready to lash out to whoever the hell bumped into me when I saw his face. It's my husband! Oh my! Why is he here? "Rhyme! Are you okay?" It was Amara who rushed to my aid, but I just stared at the man in front of me. He's also looking straight into my eyes. Oh gosh. I suddenly got conscious of how I looked. Damn. I didn't expect to see him today. I would have worn a gown or something like that! "Sorry." Then, he walked away. Before I could even process what had just happened, he already walked out of the store. When I came back to my senses, I just found myself running towards him. Amara was calling my name, but I ignored her and blocked Rious's way. He looked at me, slightly raising his eyebrows. He's probably thinking I'm one of the girls whipped for him. It's true but... I touched his arms and looked straight into his eyes. He was taken back to my touch I could sense that he didn't want our skin to touch and was about to withdraw his arms, but I firmly held them. It felt like the world stopped for a moment. My heart... It's beating so fast again. What the... Am I really in love? To this man? Whom I barely know? Whom I only met one time? But why? Why am I so drawn to him that I felt like we've known each other for years? I-I'm in love. Oh my gosh! He was looking at me. It felt surreal. His looks pierce my soul. It's like he's staring at me thoroughly. There's something about his stares that I can't decipher. His green eyes will always get me. It's so beautiful and expressive. Everything about his face is perfect. His pointed nose, thin lips, thick eyebrows, long eyelashes, and pointed nose. "Ker?" Someone called him from behind, pulling me from my reverie. I turned my attention to the woman who called him and back at Rious, whose face was kind of red? What the? He's not red earlier! Now, he is because of this woman. Great. I slowly detached my hand from his arms to give them space. "There you are. I was looking for you everywhere." The woman came close to us, and clinged her arms to his arms. My eyes followed the movements of her hand, squinting as I saw how she caressed him a bit. "Who's she? Another b***h?" My face turned sour. b***h? You are. "No, she's a family friend." Rious calmly answers her. That's it? Isn't he supposed to reprimand the girl for calling me names? Well, what can I expect from this man, right? He clearly doesn't care about me. Amara stands beside me, ready to protect me from this freak girl. "You better hold me right now. I'll make her bald." She whispered and anger could be seen in her eyes. I touched her hand, assuring her I'd help with her plan! Who the freak calls me a b***h? Damn, they're getting bold nowadays. "A b***h? Are you referring to yourself, b***h?" I fearlessly said. For sure, she's one of his flings. Since, I saw her being linked to Rious in the media. Pathetic, gold digger. She looked taken aback at my remarks. Ha! She must be thinking that I wouldn't answer her. You messed with the wrong lady, b***h. I glanced at Rious and I could see his smirk. Hmp! He's cheating on me with this girl? He doesn't have a taste! "Indeed, never judge a book by its cover. You may be covered in luxury, but your attitude doesn't suit it. And I'm just telling the truth. A b***h who's desperate for his attention." She then glanced at Rious, whose eyes were piercing through me. Maybe he's turned off by my attitude right now. Of course, who wants a girl whose attitude stinks? I can almost feel my tears threatening to fall in my eyes. But I hold it. I can't let this b***h witness my defeat. The girl touched Rious' jaw and made it turn to her. She leaned close. Making it seem like she was going to kiss her before, she turned to me and smiled wickedly. "Let's leave this pathetic b***h here, baby." Next thing I knew, Amara pulled the hair of the girl, and she dragged her down.
