“Stubborn.” The creature said. “Foolish. You’re not ready.” It was probably right about that but Violet wasn’t going to admit it. “You’re not the first to underestimate me.” Violet said. “And like the rest you’ll regret it.” Violet could not run from a fight. That just wasn’t who she was. “That’s a lot of talk.” The creature said. “Too bad your fighting ability so far doesn’t live up to it. All bravado with nothing to back it up.” So far that was true but again Violet wasn’t going to admit it. Shade suddenly appeared from somewhere and was sneaking up on the creature. “I’m just getting started.” Violet said. “I destroyed a city. I can handle you.” “If you had any control of your gifts.” The creature said. “That would be true.” Shade continued slowly approaching the creatur
