“Sounds like I’ll need to hit the ground running, so if you’ll just show me a few things, like where you keep your records, what computer programs you use, things like that, it shouldn’t take me too long to get up to speed. I’m a quick learner.” Nicole followed Velinda out of the main house once the dishes were loaded into the dishwasher and the kitchen tidied up. Too bad it wasn’t Gittie who was going to be showing her how things were done. But the woman seemed to have a million other things to do and apparently trusted this Velinda implicitly. Maybe the stern woman would warm up more once they worked together.
