Jesse had just dumped the last load from this morning’s s**t shoveling session and was returning the wheelbarrow to its usual spot when the first guests arrived in the barn. It was Caro and Isi, minus their husbands.
“Good morning. Can we come in?”
“Of course.” That’s what they were paying for after all.
Soon after, the husbands showed up, and then the two guests Gittie had picked up sauntered in.
