Escaping from the tiger's den, only to fall into the wolf's lair.
The dim lighting of the bar added a touch of extravagance, while the smell of smoke and alcohol permeated the air. Men and women indulged in deafening music, drinking and reveling, their laughter mingling in the atmosphere thick with ambiguity.
Suddenly, a piercing scream echoed from one of the upscale private rooms, shocking everyone in the bar. A petite figure rushed out in a panic, followed closely by a group of people chasing after her.
"Quick! Catch that woman..."
Su Ziyue staggered, occasionally looking back at the pursuers closing in on her.
Admitting her naivety, she had forgiven her cousin and followed her request to meet at a certain private room in the Emperor's Pavilion bar. However, upon arriving, she realized it wasn't her cousin inside, but a wealthy young man.
Realizing something was amiss, she found herself being accosted by the young man. Seizing the opportunity, she fiercely kicked him and made her escape.
Little did she know, the young man had numerous henchmen, and she was almost cornered with nowhere to run.
Like Alice trapped in a maze, with a relentless crowd ahead and pursuers behind, she could sense them closing in.
She dreaded the consequences if they caught her. What should she do?
Panicked, Su Ziyue glanced around and, in desperation, randomly opened a door and stumbled inside. The room was pitch black, and she couldn't see clearly. As she tripped forward, she braced herself for a painful fall.
But instead of hitting the ground, she collided with the broad chest of a man. Su Ziyue looked up to meet a pair of dark, intense eyes.
His features were cold yet exquisite, exuding a subtle aura of coldness that made her instinctively recoil.
As she realized she had accidentally intruded upon him, embarrassment flushed her cheeks. She stammered an apology, intending to get up, but stumbled and fell back onto him.
Noticing his gaze, Su Ziyue blushed even more and whispered, "I didn't mean to bump into you..."
Her unintentional contact sparked a reaction in him, his gaze turning heated. He uttered a tantalizing sound, "Hmm."
Before she could say anything else, the sound of footsteps approaching outside made her turn in alarm. With a worried look, she scrambled off him and began to panic inside the room.
Where could she hide in such a small space? She felt doomed.
As Su Ziyue fretted, she felt the intense gaze of the man trailing her movements, like a predator eyeing its prey.
Unaware of his scrutiny, Su Ziyue met his gaze and decided to ignore his smirk. She needed help, even from a stranger. "Um... sir, is there anywhere to hide here?"
Hide? Did she intend to hide herself? He scanned her figure and, suddenly, there was a knock on the door followed by voices outside, saying, "I saw her run into this room just now!"
Hearing the voices, Su Ziyue trembled.
Glancing at the door, the man, with a hint of amusement, said, "Don't want to be found?"
Hoping for his assistance, Su Ziyue looked at him with pleading eyes and nodded timidly, "Yes."
"Beg me," he said, looking down at her with superiority, as if everything was within his control.
Realizing she had no other choice, Su Ziyue bit her lip and looked at him. "I... I beg you..."
Meeting his gaze, Su Ziyue felt a sense of apprehension.
With a faint smile, he said, "Come here."
Su Ziyue hesitated but eventually stood next to him. He reached out, pulling her into his arms.
The warmth of his touch caught her off guard. She struggled to free herself, calling him a rogue.
"You begged for it," he said, his grip tightening around her waist, his voice cold.
Feeling trapped, Su Ziyue stopped struggling, regretting her decision to seek help.
With a swift motion, he draped a handcrafted suit jacket over her, covering her entirely. At that moment, the door burst open, and a group of men in black suits stormed in...
