Dream come true

This was the first time Lisa was happy after her father’s death so she smiled all the way back to work her smile made her cheeks dimple which made her look even more beautiful than she already was. She met her friend at the bus stop as her regular routine.

Cindy was surprised to see her happy because it was on some of the rare occasions so she gave a taunting smile “What is it that makes you so happy?”

Lisa explained her what happened last night and she was so excited about it that she could not help smiling. Cindy was really happy for her “so when you become a chef, you need to treat me to dinner.”

“That goes without saying.”

Christen went to meet her brother at the restaurant. Oliver was a great boss for his employees; he was sweet to everyone and was a soft spoken person. He respected his staff and treated them equal to him. He was tall and handsome young man who caught everyone’s attention. His restaurant was the no. one rated restaurant of the country.

“Hello brother” Christen waved moving towards him.

They hugged each other “What brings this famous fashion designer to my restaurant.”

“Do I need permission to meet my brother?”

“I have a meeting with my staff, can we talk later or I have an idea why don’t you join us then we can talk later over dinner.”

“Sounds good to me. Let’s go.”

She accompanied her brother; the staff was already waiting for him. They all stood up to greet him and after he was seated followed by his staff, he began “As you all know our head chef had a car accident yesterday we need a temporary replacement for him until he is fully recovered.”

Christen’s eyes brightened and she interrupted her brother “Brother it is great that I followed you here I know someone who can help.”

Oliver was confused “what do you mean, do you know someone who can fulfill the expectations of No. one restaurant’s chef.”

She nodded and after a few seconds explained “Yesterday I found a lady unconscious on the road so I helped her as a thanks she cooked breakfast for me this morning and I believe that was the best food I have ever had.”

“What about her past experience?”

“This is the only reason why she could not become a chef that every restaurant required past experience”

“That is the initial requirement.”

“You should at least try her food and then you can decide it for yourself.”

“That is a good idea.” Then he turned to his staff to ask “What do you say?”

“Yes we should do that” all of them agreed.

“Christen you call her over here in the evening, we will keep the restaurant closed for today until then I will go to the hospital to visit the chef.”

After the meeting everyone went back home Oliver told her sister to meet at the dinner and went to the hospital.

Christen called Lisa to inform her about the offer and that it was only a temporary one.

“I will be there.” She hung the phone and told Cindy about the offer then she took a day off at the office and went back home to prepare herself.
