   “Granny, I want to go to the airport now,” Betty said as she was arranging her luggage.

“Oh! My granddaughter, I Will miss you,” granny said in tears.

“Don’t cry granny. I will miss you too. I pray the Lord keeps you for me,” Betty said and hugged granny.

“Amen, my daughter. Greet everyone for me when you get to TSU,” granny said.

“It’s USA and not TSU,” Betty said and laughed.

“Okay. My airtime is always exhausted anytime I call you through my mobile phone, that’s why I call you rarely,” granny said.

“You are right granny. I will tell everyone to always call you instead,” Betty said.

“Thanks, daughter. I will be happy,” granny said.

“ I want to go now. (Faces her cousin) Paul, ensure you take good care of granny,” Betty said.

“Okay, sister Betty. I wish you a safe flight to United States of America,” Paul said.

“Amen Dr,” Betty said.

“Goodbye sister Betty,” Paul said.

“Good bye Paul. I will miss you,” Betty said and hugged Paul.

“I will miss you too, sister Betty,” Paul said.

“Goodbye everyone, Joyce said and walked out of the room.

“Mummy, sister Betty is back,” Mark shouted and hugged Betty.

“My Dr, I missed you so much,” Betty said.

“I missed you too, sister Betty,” Mark said and collected Betty’s luggage.

“My angel. You are back?” Betty’s mum, Mrs. Doris said.

“Yes mum,” Betty said and hugged her mother.

(Everyone was seating on sofas)

“How is granny?” Mrs. Doris said.

“She is very fine, mum. Dad is not back from work?” Betty asked.

“Yes, dad's pet,” Mrs. Doris said.

“Okay mum. I have missed daddy very much,” Betty said.

“I know you will miss him than anyone else. Don’t make me feel jealous these days,” Mrs. Doris said and smiled.

“(Smiles) You can feel jealous mum,” Betty said.

“You must be tired by now. Go and shower up,” Mrs. Doris said.

“You are right mum,” Betty said and walked to the bathroom.

“Mark, take your elder sister's luggage to her room,” Mrs. Doris said.

“Okay mum,” Mark said and left with the luggage.

    Mrs. Doris went back to the kitchen to continue the preparation of her meal.

   Soon, Mr. Doris walked in, in a choked up state.

“Welcome Dad,” Mark said.

“Welcome son. How was school today?” Mr. Doris said

“Fine, dad,” Mark said and carried his father’s portfolio in.

“Honey!!!” Mr. Doris said.

“Yes darling. I am coming. Let me put some spices in this food,” Mrs. Doris said.

“Alright. I am waiting,” Mr. Doris said.

(Mrs. Doris walked into the sitting room)

“Welcome darling,” Mrs. Doris said and sat on a couch beside her husband.

“Thanks honey. How was work today?” Mr. Doris asked.

“It was good. And yours?” Mrs. Doris said.

“It was fine. I need a glass of cold water,” Mr. Doris said.

“Okay Dr,” Mrs. Doris said and went to get a glass of cold water for her husband.

“This is it honey,” Mrs. Doris said,” handling a glass of cold water to Mr. Doris.

“Dad, you are back,” Betty said.

“Wow! See my beautiful angel. I was about to ask of you,” Mr. Doris said.

“I came in some minutes ago,” Joyce said.

“How was the trip to United States of America?’ Mr. Doris said.

“It was nice and comfortable dad. It was hitch free,” Betty said.

“Good. (Faces Mrs. Doris) hope you have given her something to eat?” Mr. Doris said.

“I haven’t honey. She just walked out of the bathroom. Besides, the food is not yet done,” Mrs. Doris said.

“Okay. Betty, hope you are not hungry?” Mr. Doris said.

“Dad, I am not hungry. We were given foods inside the aircraft,” Betty said.

“Oh. I have forgotten. How is granny and your cousin?” Mr. Doris said.

“They are both fine. The octogenarian is doing pretty fine,” Betty said.

“That is good. I hope you didn’t disturb her?” Mr. Doris said.

“Yes dad. She really enjoyed my stay,” Betty said with smiles.

“Good. I miss granny. We shall visit her someday,” Mr. Doris said.

“She sent her regards dad,” Betty said.

“That is good,” Mr. Doris said.

“Daddy and daughter, excuse me. I need to check what I am cooking in the kitchen,” Mrs. Doris said and walked to the kitchen.

“Dad, do you believe I saw Joyce?” Betty said.

“Joyce? Which Joyce?” Mr. Doris said.

“The one we attended the same elementary school together,” Betty said.

“The dark complexioned and short?” Mr. Doris said.

“Yes Dad,” Betty said.

“How is she?” Mr. Doris said.

“She is fine dad,” Betty said.

“That is good. I hope she has finished from secondary school too?” Mr. Doris said.

“No dad. She will write her final year’s examinations soon,” Betty said.

“It is not bad. Hope her parents are fine?” Mr. Doris said.

“Her mum is doing great. She lost her father some years ago,” Betty said sadly.

“That is not a good news,” Mr. Doris said

“Yes dad. Joyce’s dad was a very good man,” Betty said.

“You are right daughter. I knew him very well in town then. Mr. Davies as fondly called is also hard-working,” Mr. Doris said.

“I now believe good thing doesn’t last long,” Betty said.

“Why would you say such darling. Don’t be stereotyped. Good things last long. Both good and bad things can either be durable or take the otherwise though,” Mr. Doris said.

“Okay Dad. Mrs. Evelyn explained the cause of her husband’s death to me,” Betty said.

“She did? Mr. Doris said.

“Yes Dad. He was envied by his colleagues at his place of work,” Betty said.

“How sure are you?” Mr. Doris said.

“That is what Mrs. Evelyn said.

“What a world!” Mr. Doris said.

The world is full of evils and abominations. I will tell you the full gist after lunch,” Betty said.

“Okay, Betty,” Mr. Doris said.

    Soon, the Doris family sat round the table in the dinning room to eat their lunch.

“Father, in Jesus’ name. Thank you for this food, we say be thou exalted in Jesus’ name. We cover this food in the name of the father, in the name of the son and in the name of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Jesus for an answered prayer. In Jesus’ name we have prayed,” Mrs. Doris prayed and served the food afterwards.

    After lunch, Betty went to have nap because she had a tiring day.
