Today is Katy’s nineteenth birthday. The year is 2017, the month of July. The sun is shining. Katy is a average height teen, average weight with long brown wavy hair that reaches the middle of her back. Todays outfit choice happens to be denim shorts and a black vest top. Katy liked the colour black , not only was it her favourite colour it was also helping her tan by drawing in the sun. “Katy we’re ready to go” shouted Katy’s mum. Katy hurried excitedly knowing she was ready to go out with the family to party, to celebrate her birthday in style. Katy spent the day drinking and dancing to celebrate her day of birth. *buzz buzz* Katy pulled out her phone to find a text that was from James. James was twenty five , a little older than Katy but happened to be Katy’s ex. Katy met James 3 years ago and fell madly in love with him, sadly feelings weren’t mutual. They couldn’t be , not from the way he behaved. The list goes on , Katy kept repeating the list in her head as the feelings of dread and excitement were fighting with each other. Katy kept replaying to herself 1. He loves his other ex not me 2. He was rude to me 3. He manipulated me 4. I haven’t spoken to him in months. Katy finally decided to read the message which read From James Happy birthday , have fun with that guy that posted on f*******:. Katy put her phone away What guy ? And why was he looking on my f*******:? Wondered Katy. Katy pulled back out her phone and started scrolling through f*******: , through all the birthday wishes until she found the one James was talking about. Katy burst out from laughter “My cousin” Katy said out loud forgetting that she was with her family. Katy’s mother heard and asked what was going on. Katy explained that James had been messaging her accusing her of sleeping with a guy. That happened to be her cousin. Katy’s mother laughed and kissed her forehead. Katy’s mother wasn’t happy when Katy and James were together she used to say “you’re blinded by love” but Katy never really understood until she decided to walk away from James. James was Katy’s first real boyfriend meaning the first guy she ever slept with so there was a real strong bond between them. Katy was heartbroken having to pull away from him but he no longer wanted a girlfriend he wanted a friend with benefits. Katy was ready to settle , to be a wife and start a family but she knew she couldn’t do that with James. After the relationship ended Katy became a whole different person , James thought he had a hold on Katy being the only guy she’s slept with so she went out and slept with a few other guys. Was it revenge or was it to get over him ? Not even Katy knew the answer to that. Katy looked up at the time , it was already getting so late. They were sat outside a pub somewhere in Somerset. Katy was still shocked at how the UK weather was holding back the rain for a change. *buzz buzz* Katy was dreading pulling out her phone , she dreaded that it would be James again trying to find some way of starting an argument.
