THE MEETING "It's with a great burden in my heart that I've gathered you all here."  Mrs Lila Richard, said while address her two children , Michael and Rachael in the Richards family house. "As you all know I'm not getting any younger." she continued, I will be fifty in a few years and I need two or more grand Children before I turn fifty she said, fixing her gaze at Michael her oldest child, who shifted on easily in his seat. I'm sure your dad is also in desperate need of a child as well, "Don'tyou honey? " She asked her husband who was seated next to her squeezing his face little. Mr Steve who has been paying Keen interest to his wife. simple noded his head in affirmation but said nothing. Mrs Nathan our neighbors is just fourth sixty yet she has two grand children and.. "Mom please stop!" Rachel her youngest daughter yelled at Lila, stop with this talk about grandchildren already it's beginning to sound annoying, "Do not interrupt me Rachael!" Lila yelled back at Rachael giving her a stern look. What about Mrs Owens my other neighbor,she is 47 with three grandchildren already? And I'm 47 and yet to get a single grand child, Lila sounded like she wanted to cry she paused for a second to catch her breath before continuing her speech. Do you want me to die a sad old woman? She asked This Time she fixes her gaze at Rachael, who was already boiling with so much anger, she hates it when her mom sounds this way because she wasn't ready to start having kids anytime soon so She feels pressured whenever her mom talks about grandchildren. Stop! it already mom! Rachael yelled at Mrs Lila getting up from her seat. "For God's sake you are just 47 not 87 if you want more children you can always adopt and leave us the f**k alone with this grand children bulshit"  "Idon't want to adopt I want children from my ow children," lila yelled back at Rachae am I asking for too much? Lila asked with a voice that sounded like she was about to cry. Michael who sat next to his mom tried to console his mom after seeing how sad she was. he wished he could grant her wish but how was he going to do that? When he doesn't even have a girlfriend talk more of having kids and he is strongly against having children out of wedlock so giving her grand kids sounds a bit impossible to him now. He squeezed his mother's hand and whispered to her to "Calm down mom," he hates to see his mom this way but there was nothing he could do, he just can't pick up a random girl,get her pregnant and give his mom grand children, she will have to be patient till he meets the right woman he would want to spend the rest of his life with and build a family together with. Well Linda and I are not ready to get married, so you will have to wait for a long time if you are expecting grand children from me Rachael Said. " Who is Linda?" Michael asked Linda seems to be a feminine name so why is is only sister talking about having children with a woman? Could it be that she is a lesbian? He thought Linda is my girlfriend, like we are dating Rachael Said, Rolling her eyes. "I can't believe you Rachel! " You couldn't get yourself a man? Why dating girls Michael yelled at Rachael, I want you to stop seeing Rachael or whatever you call her and get yourself a man I can't condole you being a lesbian, Think about what it will do to the family's image Rachael what do you want people to say? "I don't care about what people say I, Rachael Said Rolling her eyes I love Rachel and I love each other and I can't imagine life without her, Richael said "You love who?" Lila roared,she was really pissed she couldn't believe what Rachael just said a lesbian? No! it's not possible Lila said pointing at Rachael, I cast that spirit of lesbianism out of you, she was standing next to Rachael now with her hands on Rachaels head like a pastor trying to cast out a Demon from a possessed person. "Stop it already mom!" Rachel yelled, taking off her mom's hand from her head, Mom, Dad she said, fixing gazes at her Mom and then to her Dad who was too shocked Rachael's revelation to even utter a word . "This is the 21st century" and everyone should be allowed to be with whoever they want inrespective of s*x, "I love girls mom,"she said looking at her Mom who was looking at her with disbelief  I'm attracted to girls and that's how my hormones function, Rachael Said sounding a bit sad ,"I will not let you or mom stop me from being with wom I love just because she is a woman am 25 and I know what is right for me", she said her gaze locked with her mother's "What is it you just Said Rachael!" Mr Steve asked suddenly do you want to bring shame to this family? He said pointing at Rachael,you will stop seeing that girl I will find you a respectable young man if you can't get one yourself Steve said. Well I've already made up my mind, Rachael Said she has made up about being with Linda and she wasn't going to let her family talk her out of it, "it's linda or no one else and I can see there is nothing I can do to change your mind so I think I'm done with this meeting, She said picking up her hand bag. She knows her family will never support her relationship with Linda but she was willing to fight through the storm if that is what it takes for her to be with Linda the love of her life.
