CHAPTER THIRTY “Eva?” The voice was familiar, coming from above. Gentle hands rocked her, encouraging her to move. The armor hummed about Eva's chest, repairing both it and her; the blast must have done more damage than she had imagined. It was easy to believe she was safe, those concerned with her well-being close by, until the unspoken query from Nina jolted her awake. It seemed concern was not a one-way street. Eva groaned, trying to move about and receiving a shooting pain in her neck for her troubles. “Hang on, wait. Let the armor work out the kinks.” It was Janus speaking.
