The ominous nature of the task facing her was not lost on Eva. As they crept along the edge of the mountains, she realized they were not approaching an empty city, guarded by near-mindless automatons. There was no guarantee Forente-Lautus was empty at all; with Belphegor back in Hell, the city could be teeming with demons.
