"Aren't you scared that you might fall" I asked him.

I noticed in darkness his lips tugging up in a smile. "No."

"Why"

"Because in the end I will see your face."

Ryder Quinn was a normal teenager with a simple life. She had a crush on the boy sitting in front of her in the math class and her best friend was a crazy girl that would help her with everything.

Until...

One night, someone enters her room... from the window. Of course she freaked out, and was about to scream "RAPIST!" on the top of her lungs, and but then she noticed that the guy was injured.

And like the sweetheart she was she helped him, even though she never saw his face.

From that day on, that guy would appear in her room almost every night, never showing his face, starting a weird friendship with Ryder.

"Owww! This is so romantic. It looks like a version of Cinderella's story." Jasmine said with dreamy eyes with her hands on her heart.

"Cinderella my ass."

I was too kind-hearted for my own good
"Ryder!" Jasmine screamed in my ear. "What?" I said with a calm voice not even glancing once at her. "Stop staring at him for God"s sake." She hissed and I frowned. "But he is so hot and..." I said turning my head to her still frowning. "Oh my God he is looking at you!" She said with a breath and I snapped my head to Aiden, to find him staring at the black board. "You are mean." I said with a sad voice and Jasmine laughed quietly. "Yes. But you love me." I smiled at her and stared at Aiden again. His dirty blonde hair was messy, like he woke up with those hair. The black shirt was against his body showing some of his muscles. I had a crush on him since the first day of school. He was nice and polite with everyone and I couldn"t help and just like him more every day. Even though I never had the guts to talk to him. "You should really talk to him. I mean a simple hi would be good." "Are you serious with me? I would probably start blushing like a tomato, trip over air and make a fool of myself." I whispered to Jasmine. She gave me a sweet smile. "I still think you should at least try." I thought about it. A simple hi wouldn"t hurt anyone. Maybe if everything would go right, he might like me. Just a simple hi. But how am I going to say hi to him. Like "Hi Aiden?" or "Hi there!" or it"s better if I say just "Hi!". But if I say just hi, he would start a conversation and I would ramble like a fool and end up saying things I shouldn"t say. Why is it so hard? I bumped my head against the table lightly a couple of times. The bell rang and I got up, picking up my stuff and walked to Aiden. But since my eyes were focused only on him, I didn"t see the bag thrown on the floor carelessly. I tripped over it and let out a scream as I waited for my face to make contact with the hard floor. But instead of that, I fell on something warm and kind of soft. I opened one eye and then the other. The first thing I noticed was a black shirt. My eyes went up the body and widened when I noticed two green eyes looking at me and his lips forming a small smile. Shit! My face became red immediately and my mind stopped working. It wasn"t the right time to leave me alone, but it just left me. "Are you okay?" Aiden asked me with his soft voice and I blushed even more if that was possible. Oh my God he is talking to me! What should I say? "Ye... Yes." I muttered and he got up. I was still on the floor, when he held out his hand and waited for me to take it. Blushing furiously, I took his hand and he helped me to get up. "Thank you." I muttered and he smiled at me. Aiden took his bag in his hand. "I will see you around." He said waving me a goodbye before leaving the class. "Girl, you made it." Jasmine said touching my shoulder, but I was too busy blushing to hear her. My hands went to my heart as I looked at the way he walked out with dreamy eyes. "He said he would see me around." I said as Jasmine laughed at me. "You are hopeless." She said and I frowned at her. She noticed my face and panicked. "No, no, no, no... Not in that way. I mean you are... never mind. Just forget what I said." *** I always walked on my way home. I didn"t have a car to drive it. Even if I had it, I didn"t know how to drive it. True, I had a bike, but it was old and I didn"t like the colour so this left me with the only option of walking home. "Hey!" I heard a voice yell. Eventually I turned my head to see who it was, to find Aiden running towards me. My cheeks turned red and this time I felt my voice leaving me. "Hi!" Aiden said smiling at me as one of his hands touched my shoulder. "Hi!" My voice came out shaky. Thank God it was just a short word or I wouldn"t know what I was going to do. Aiden smiled down at me and I felt like melting under his gaze. "You didn"t tell me your name." Oh my great God! He wants to know my name. What should I say? Of course my name. How silly! "Ryder King." My eyes widened. God I messed up my own name. "I mean Ryder Quinn." Great job Ryder. Well done. Aiden laughed lightly at me and I felt my lips forming a smile. He was so sweet, so cute, so perfect. And me on the other hand, was clumsy and couldn"t even say my own name correctly in front of him. I was a mess. "Nice to meet you Ryder. I like your name." Aiden said and my smile turned into a grin. "Your name is pretty too. No I mean it is beautiful. I mean I like your name too. No... I..." I felt like slapping myself for rambling like this. Now he would think I was stupid and laugh his ass off with me. "You are cute. Well, see you tomorrow Ryder." Aiden said and left or something like that. I wasn"t really paying attention after he called me cute. My whole body froze and I forget how to breath. He thinks I"m cute. I walked to my house, with that sentence in my mind the whole time. I swear I tried to think of something else. I tried to focus on my homework but that sentence didn"t let me alone. I was grinning the whole time in a weird way that would scare people out of my way. It was about midnight when I finally managed to finish my homework. The bed looked like it was calling my name and my heart was aching for it. I was tired and my eyes felt heavy at the sight of the bed. I lied down slowly, moaning from the warmth of the sheets. My eyes shut almost immediately when my head touched the pillow. I felt myself slowly falling sleep. When I heard a strange noise coming from the window. My eyes opened as I looked at the window terrorized. Maybe it was a ghost. Or a monster. Or even worse. It could be a bat. I hated bats. It is a long short dark story. So don"t ask. The window opened slowly and one leg and then an other, lands on the floor of my room. I panicked as I saw a dark figure of a man standing next to the window, his face towards me. Oh my God he will rape me. I was about to shout "RAPIST!" when the man fell on the floor with a huge thump. I forgot everything and ran towards him. I sat on my knees and looked at the man. The more I saw him, the more I noticed he actually was young. That he was probably one year older than me... Probably... His hair covered his face. Maybe he fainted. I brushed the hair from his face. He let out a groan from the pain. "Are you okay?" I whispered to him. He couldn"t answer, but groaned once more and I felt bad for him. I could tell he was injured and I know that I should call the police or at least shout for my parents, but weirdly all I wanted to do was to help him. "I will turn on the lights." I whispered and was about to stand up, when I felt his hand grab my wrist, not letting it go. "Don"t." His voice was weak and that made my heart ache for him. I was too kind-hearted for my own good. I frowned at him, and got up anyway to get the first aid kit, I had in my room. Once I had it on my hands, I sat next to him again. Slowly I leaned him against the wall and tried to see what I could do to help him, but it was too dark. "I need the light to see, so I can help you." I frowned. I noticed difficultly a smile in his lips. "No. Just... Give me water. Please." His voice was soft and I just couldn"t say no to him. I always kept a bottle with water in my room, because I was too lazy to get up in the middle of the night and go downstairs, just for a glass of water. Thankfully today it was more useful than the other days. I got it from the side of my bed and gave it to him. But he couldn"t even see the bottle in front of his eyes. I sat closer to him, wrapping an arm around his shoulders qa keep him straight while with the free hand I placed the bottle between his lips and let the water flow down his throat. He gulped a few times and leaned against the wall, while my arm was still around his shoulders. I moved away, to sit in front of him, trying to see if his eyes were open or closed. "Who are you?" I asked him and he let out a heavy sigh. He didn"t answer to me, but breathed slowly. For a moment I thought he was dying or maybe he just fell asleep when I heard his voice again. "I better get go." He said getting up and leaned out of the window. I panicked when I saw him like that. What if he fell? "You will fall!" I whisper yelled at him and he left out a small laugh. "Don"t worry. I will be fine. Thank you for helping me Ryder." He disappeared from my sight and for a second I thought he actually fell. I looked out of the window. He was walking slowly in the middle of the empty road. I noticed him turn his head to my window, before disappearing behind a house in the corner.
