A VAMPIRE PRINCE

RIHANA'S POINT OF VIEW-

I was hungry from the previous night as in the demon realm I did not eat anything, so, my stomach grumbled and I gave an awkward smile to Matthew. It was really embarrassing for me.

Matthew asked me in a concerned tone " Are you hungry?"

"Yeah," I managed to say in an embarrassing tone.

He walked towards another corner of the room and then I saw a tabletop there and an old-style stove which could be operated using burning fuel and it was placed there and a tiny cupboard was placed beside the table and when Matthew opened the cupboard I saw few food containers were also present in that cupboard. He took a pressure cooker and took out something from the container and poured few things inside the cooker and finally added some water inside the cooker from a water bottle, when I saw the water bottle I realized that I was damn thirsty, so I asked him "Matthew can you pass the water bottle please ?" 

"Of course, I can," he said to me, and with his vampire speed he reached beside me and handed me the water bottle.

I took the water bottle and immediately started to drink, I almost drank the entire water of the bottle, only a little bit was left, "Thank you," I said to him.

"You are thirsty," Matthew said to me.

"Yup, you are right and sorry I almost finished it," I said to him.

"I do not drink water neither I need it," he said to me.

I gave him a confused look and asked "Then why you kept it here?"

"To cook my favorite food," he said to me.

"Matthew, do vampires need food,?" I asked him.

"No, vampires do not need food," he said to me, and then he said to me "Rihana call me Matt, my all friends call me Matt."

"Ok and call me Rihu," I said to him.

After few minutes Matt opened the lid of the cooker and I immediately smelled a familiar scent of food, I inhaled it and immediately recognized what it was and in a surprising tone I said to him " Matt you make 'khichdi' !!" ('Khichdi' is a food item made with rice and different type of lentils and to enhance the taste sometimes vegetables can be added to this.)

"Yup, it is my favorite, it reminds me of my mother, whenever she gets a chance she makes it for me," he said.

"But it is an Indian dish!", I exclaimed.

He raised one of his eyebrows and laughed and said "Yup, my mother is Indian."

"Your mother is human," I said to him.

"Nope, she is a vampire," Matt said to me.

"Oh," I said to him and about to ask him more questions but before that, he stopped me and said, " Eat the food first, hot khichdi is best you know."

I nodded my head and took my plate and started to eat it after finishing it I said to him "It is delicious, you are a great cook."

"Thanks for your compliment," Matt said to me.

"Can I ask you some questions?" I asked him.

"Yeah, you can, " he said to me.

"Does your mother look like an Indian ?" I asked him.

"Yes, wait," he said to me and took out his cell phone from a nearby drawer and opened the gallery of the cell phone and showed me his mother pictures, I looked at him and again saw his mother picture, he sighed and said to me "I know girl, I do not look like my mother, I am a replica of my father."

" Vampires are sterile... Is not it? Does your father turn your mother into a vampire after your birth? " I asked him all of a sudden and then realized I might be asking him too much question, so I immediately apologized to him.

 But he did not seem to mind anything and he replied to me "No, my mother is also a born vampire and she is also from a royal family, and royal and noble female vampires can give birth to children and all-male vampires can impregnate his beloved but only his beloved can carry his child, no other women."

I gave him a confused look again.

He sighed and said to me " All common female and male vampires are turned vampire, either some noble or royal vampire turned them into vampires, and sometimes a commoner female or male vampire tuned their human beloved into a vampire but a turned female vampire is sterile, so if a human woman is beloved of one male vampire, he can impregnate her but it is quite risky because the human woman can die at the time of childbirth because vampire children grow very fast and they have superhuman strength, it may harm the mother, but some times it happens and male vampire can turn his partner into a vampire just after the childbirth but it is very rare because only a few vampires get human beloved some do not even accept them and some accept them but turned them before the girl get pregnant ."

"Oh, " I said to him.

"Are you a royal because of your mother?" I asked him.

"My father is the king of one of the vampire kingdoms situated in Spain and my mother's father was king of his kingdom and my aunt, my mother's elder sister is the current queen of that kingdom, she is the firstborn child of my grandfather," he explained.

"How many vampire kingdoms exist? Is every country has one vampire kingdom?" I asked him.

"Nope the vampire kingdoms territory is not exactly like human country's territory, twelve vampire kingdoms currently exist all over the world, each has its own territory and there is one vampire High council which consist of various powerful elder vampires like a former king, queens, powerful generals, healer they look after well being of the all vampires all over the world. They help to maintain peace between all twelve kingdoms of vampires, each kingdom manages its own territory, and one king or queen rules over the whole kingdom, each kingdom can make its own rules and regulations but it should be consistent with the Vampire High council's rules and regulation if any rule or regulations made which are against the rule of the council then it is null and void. " Matt explained to me.

"Each kingdom consists of few to many covens depend on the territory of the kingdom and each coven has its own coven leader who is directly under the king or queens," Matt gave more information to me and I was listening quietly though I was not surprised because in past few days I met a lot of supernatural creatures and gathered a lot of information about them, heck I even visited another realm but I was amused that so many supernatural creatures exist with humans and each of them had it's own rules and regulations and different living style.

"What are you thinking?" Matt said to me.

"Nothing special," I said to him.

"So, in vampire kingdom firstborn child become the heir?" I asked him out of curiosity.

"Yes, firstborn child become the heir, if the firstborn child is a girl then she will be the crown princess and next heir to the throne and if the firstborn child is a male child then he will be the crown prince and next heir to the throne," Matt said to me.

I was amazed that vampires did not discriminate between male and female and out of curiosity I asked him "Did werewolves also choose their heir by this way?"

Matthew looked at me and said "You asked too many questions !!! Do not you feel tired?"

I said to him "You are avoiding my questions. why because I asked you about werewolves?" then I added, "Vampires do not like werewolves right??"

"No vampires do not like werewolves very much but we are not enemies at least not now, once there was enmity between Lycans and vampires but nowadays werewolves and vampires are not enemies though they do not like each other very much but we learn to co-exist peacefully after all Lycan Goddess Selene and Vampire Goddess Lucifea both are twin sisters and werewolves worship both of them though their primary Goddess is Selene but they also worship Lucifea and called her as her old name Luna," Matt said to me.

As soon as he finished his sentence I exclaimed "What? Two moon Goddess ??"

"Who said about two moon goddess?" Matt asked back in a confusing tone.

"Hey you said Selene and Lucifea both are sisters right? And you also said Lucifea also known as Luna " I asked him.

"Yeah they are twin sisters Selene and Luna , 10,000 years ago they both were taking training from their parents to become Moon Goddess, their parents are the creators of Lycans, they created Lycans 15,000 years ago and they are the original Moon God and Goddess and Lycans worship them, they were given training two both of their daughters Selene and Luna to become new Moon Goddess and initially their parents thought that they both will be twin Moon Goddess and will jointly handle their duty but 10,000 years ago when they were taking their last phase of training both the sister visited earth to interact with Lycans after all they are future Goddess of Lycans but When they came to live on earth 10,000 years ago, the younger sister of the twins fall in love with a human," Matt said.

"What happened next?" I asked him I was almost chewing my lips in tension.

"Bad habit does not do that," Matt said to me.

 I just rolled my eyes in response and throw my innocent puppy dog eyes towards him and he said "Ok, I will tell you the story."

He was about to start the story again but before that suddenly his eyes get cloudy I understood that someone mind-linking him, I already aware of it, so, I did not freak out this time.

When his eyes became clear again I saw sadness in his eyes.

"What happened?" I asked him.

"Valentina again leaves the castle and no one knows where she is."

Before I could ask her Who was Valentina? Matt said to me "Valentina is my younger sister, 10 years ago her beloved got murdered in front of her eyes from that day she is drowning in sorrow."

I did not know what to say at this moment, I could not even understand her pain.

After few minutes passed I gathered some courage and asked him "Who murdered him and why?"

I saw uncontrollable anger in Matt's eyes, red rims appeared in his usual blue eyes and he gritted his teeth and said " That bastard Demon Lord murdered my brother in law, he tried to take advantage of my sister but my brother in law protested, so he killed him and not only that he also killed one of my brother-in-law's friend and one of his trusted bodyguards."

I was so shocked after this revelation I did not know what to say at that exact moment but I did not know why my heart did not want to accept the story, so I asked him again "How do you know that?"

"We were in Russia 10 years ago, one year before we found out that crown prince of that vampire kingdom is my younger sister's beloved, my father was really happy, both the royal families were super happy, we were preparing for marriage and the engagement ceremony was completed just before the fateful day. That bustard Demon Lord was also invited at the engagement party so he was staying there and in that fateful day my sister and her beloved was chatting with one crown prince's friend in one of the guest room in the palace , my sister's beloved and his friend suddenly went outside the room for some urgent work and my sister's beloved left one of his bodyguard to protect my sister and when they came back they saw that bastard demon lord was trying to take advantage of my sister and he already murdered the assigned body guard and when the crown prince and his friend tried to stop him , he mercilessly murdered them both , when my father and mother felt something was wrong like a very scary aura in the eastern wings of that castle, we all three go their and when my father and I opened the room , I saw my sister was lying on the floor her dress were torn apart and that bastard demon's shirt was lying just beside her and he was standing there shirtless and drenched in blood and three mutilated body was lying in the floor, me and my father saw it before our eyes and we attacked that bastard but my sister started to cry uncontrollably and my mother ran towards her and in the mean time king and queen of Russian vampire kingdom came in the room and that moment the bastard disappeared from the room," Matt said to me.

My hatred toward the Demon Lord grew even more but before I could say anything, Matt said to me " Take rest Rihu, tomorrow we will go to a safer place and I will help you to reach home, I have to reach home first, I have to find Valentina, my mother and father are already worried for her."

I did not say anything to him and went towards the couch to sleep but Matt being a gentleman oops not man, vampire, insisted me to take the bed and told me that he would take the couch but somehow I managed to convince him and I took the couch and he took the bed, he was a well-built vampire he would not fit in the couch and I was barely five ft. two-inch, I would easily fit in this couch and soon we both dozed off in sleep.
