THIRD POV.
How on earth did things get so wrong?
Gunner thought internally as he went through all the things he'd found out that day in his head.
Somehow Gunner couldn't help but feel like he was to blame for this too. If he'd stayed with them and took care of his godson and goddaughter like he'd promised their late father, then maybe all of these wouldn't be happening. But he'd been too onee deep into his grief and personal issues to think properly and now, his goddaughter was in the grave while his godson may have ruined his life beyond repair. For that, Gunner felt he had his own guilt to carry for the rest of his life.
But then again, if only his godson had listened to him all those time ago then all of these could have been avoided.
