Isabella stood stunned for a while, unable to actually process what Amanda had just told her.
“My Mom’s what?” She asked with a shaky breath.
Even Alex was confused, wondering if he had misheard Amanda’s words.
Debby looked at Isabella with a confused expression.
Amanda had gotten inside the house and only Debby stood next to Isabella.
“Your mother’s boyfriend! She was dating someone before she fell ill. We never met the guy but we only saw her going and coming by around your house. He was quite tall, seemed quite younger than your mother and we all guessed that perhaps that was the reason she never introduced him to anyone around the place....”
