The masked man
I don't know what's happening nor do I know if I'll ever see the sun. I've been in this hospital bed for ages just lying here staring at the old hospital ceiling. Weirdly, I don't remember anything about how I got here. It's only ever been me and these nurses. I've always wondered if I had a family somewhere. I never actually asked if I didn't need to. If they actually loved me they wouldn't have left me here in this place alone. I wonder why they choose to abandon me? In this hospital it has been long, maybe more than long.
The door swung open as one of the nurses walked in. And looked at me, then said.
"There's someone here to see you,"she said.
"Who?".i asked.
"I don't know".
"Okay, I'm coming." I slowly got down from the bed. It had been long since I walked, so I stumbled a little and gained my and gained my balance, then followed the nurse to a room in the corner of the hall.
"He's here,"the nurse said.
"Okay, are you going in with me?" I asked.
"No, I can't, but good luck,"she said, then walked away.
I stared at the door, then reluctantly went inside. The room was neatly arranged and beautifully decorated, and a man stood in the middle of the room with black hair and broad shoulders and a mask over his face.
"Sit down,"he said as I sat down consciously.
"Who are you?" I asked.
"You can just call me Jaden,"he said.
"I'm thinking that's not your real name."
"It is it a problem?"
"No, not at all, um, why am I here again?"
"I have a deal,"he said as he got up.
"What is it?" I asked.
"It may be weird, but as long as you agree, you can get out of this hospital."
I looked at him curious about the deal he'd been talking about that could make me step out of this place.
"What is it?"
"Be my fiancée, of course, temporarily you don't have to do or say anything, leave it to me."
I looked at him, stunned by his. I wonder why though? But this is also to my advantage. I can get out of here.
"Why don't you find people elsewhere? Why a hospital?"
"Because nobody knows you and nobody can track you."
"So you've thought this through."
"Yes,"he replied.
"But why me?".
"Stop asking questions."
"Okay fine".
"Just choose tomorrow. I'll be back."
That was the only word he said before he left. I couldn't understand this guy i just met looking for a fiancée in a hospital or is there another meaning or secret to this? After a few minutes, I went back to my ward.
...... ....... ........
I soon arrived at my ward, then lay down thinking about my strange encounter with the masked man. I stared out the window looking at the moon. It was beautiful, it was good. I always wanted to travel and see the good part of life instead of staying in one place locked up for life. I'm glad I have an actual chance to see the world and I'm not letting it go.
NO ONE POV
Close to the hospital, the black man was seen talking to someone from the shadows.
"Don't let her know,"the masked man said.
"Understood but why keep it a secret?"
"....".
The other man sighned and left. The masked man still stood looking at the moon.
"It's the only way I can protect her."
................................ The next episode..............................
The sun rose through the window as I opened my eyes to the sane hospital room but now i choose to leave this place i don't know if it's a good decision, but I'm ready to risk it.
.........anorther preview..........
He scooped me up our faces inches apart as he carried me out of the hospital's building.
