Chapter 25Kyle was persistent, April had to give him that, and she finally agreed to move in with him—on New Year’s Eve, which her boyfriend found amusing for some reason—and a few days after the New Year, they began looking at apartments in the H Street Corridor. It took some time, but they finally decided on a one bed/one bath unit on the seventh floor of the Janus Apartments. It had a terrace large enough to hold a wrought iron bistro table and a couple of chairs. Come the spring, they planned to spend evenings out there when they were both home and could enjoy the balmy night breezes. The kitchen offered the gas cooktop Kyle had promised her, and a stackable washer and drier was tucked away in a small alcove.
