Epilogue
Kyle arrived at the WBIS and signed in with Ned, the night security man.
“I hope you had a good vacation.”
“We had to cut it short.”
“We?”
“My girlfriend came with me to meet my sister.”
A broad grin stretched his lips. “You’ve got a girlfriend.”
“I do.” Kyle fished out his wallet and showed Ned a picture of him and April. They’d taken it in one of those photo booths that developed the photos right away, and while she’d smiled into the camera, he’d kissed her cheek. Her surprise—so cute—had been caught on film.
“Pretty girl.”
“She is. Well, I’ve got to get to work. I’ll see you later.”
