I spent the entire day steering clear of him.
I dodged his charming head-nods, his playful smirks...his entire presence.
Perhaps that's why I was feeling down.
"Alright, enough of this," Liz abruptly interrupted my thoughts, "I need to ask you something that's been on my mind all morning."
"Sure, what is it?"
"Odette mentioned she saw you and Akila riding to school on his motorbike this morning. Is that true?"
Liz paused her meal, and Charlie glanced up from his phone.
Awkward moment.
"Yeah, so what?"
"I thought you were afraid of motorbikes?" Charlie remarked, sounding a bit uneasy.
"I am."
"Wait; is this the same guy who's your roommate? The attractive one?" Ella inquired.
"Yep."
