Smoke

~Louis’s POV~ “I f*****g needed time to think what we should do with her! But your thick heads don’t seem to understand the complexity of the moment!” I snapped at Hilda and Clark. There is no f*****g way for that werewolf king to reach out to my father right now. Not without having a word with me. But if somehow he found his way out, there are high chances that my father would surprise us with his presence sooner than expected. And all because of these morons. Now, I know why he never cared about his younger, stupid, damn brother ever. Clark was the dumbest vampire I have ever seen. “We lost our son!” Hilda hissed. “And you will lose your life too if you keep behaving like damn idiots,” I glared at her. She sealed her mouth, but her eyes kept blazing with the same fire as earlier. Sean cleared his throat, “The beta of the royal clan reached out to me again. We need to think fast. That b***h is the royal kids' cousin.” I wanted to chop Sean’s tongue into millions of pieces for calling my mate b***h. Wait… What the f**k was happening to me? I shouldn’t be thinking about her in any way. She is no one to me… She will never be. “We are not scared of anyone…” Clark said. My brow quirked as a chuckle came out of my mouth, “You should be… At least, of your brother. He was the one who signed the treaty with the werewolves that Abel broke by approaching Aliyah in the first place.” His utmost silence and change in posture made me shake my head and sigh. Their stupidity can cost me lives. They didn’t think twice before making any move, and now, I have to deal with the werewolf king. If it were any other clan, we would have had the upper hand, but with royal werewolves… The fight won’t be easy. “We are faster than werewolves; there is no doubt we can create more damage to them, but with the Knights having the Blood Moon Clan as a backup, the fight will make us lose more than we gain,” I said. Hilda scoffed, “They broke a rule.” “And they will pay for it,” I smirked. But in my way. Right now, I have to think of a way to make the werewolf king believe that we play no part in the kidnapping of his cousin. I ordered Hilda to cover Aliyah’s mouth and warned her not to touch her. They are werewolves, and werewolf siblings and parents can feel each other’s pain. I am sure every hit and pain that she endured must have made them die every single second. But that can’t happen anymore. Not when they doubt us. Not when we still have the treaty. “I will call our witch to conceal her bond with her family till then, no one would touch her. Am I clear?” I commanded. "No, I want her damn brother to feel the same pain that my son felt in his last moments..." Clark spat. “I will kill her,” Hilda hissed, her eyes turning red and fangs coming out. Her words boiled my blood, which made every vein in my arms swell, threatening to pop out at any moment. My fangs lengthened while my eyes fumed with anger, surely, appearing blood red to people standing in front of me. “Calm down, my lord,” Sean whispered. My gaze went straight into Hilda’s eyes, and a low, threatening growl erupted in the back of my throat, “Touch her, and I will pull the string attached to your heart slowly and steadily. Wrap it around your neck till your whole body reeks of blood and then feed your flesh to animals in the woods.” Clark and Hilda's eyes widened. "You... You're threatening your aunt..." Clark said, amused. As if I care. "I'm threatening the vampire who's thinking of defying me," I glared at him. My gaze moved to Sean, “If anyone dared to lay a finger on her without receiving any direction from me, I would burn them alive. Tell this to everyone.” “Yes, my lord.” Clark and Hilda sprinted out of my office, but their bodies depicted the hate that they were feeling towards me. Though they didn’t dare to look at me, their flaring nose and tight jaws said it all. Sean left to alert all the vampires staying in the castle after connecting my call with the werewolf king, and I closed my eyes. I had to appear chill and calm. The young werewolf king appeared on the screen, and I smirked. He was way too heavily built for a twenty two year old alpha. “Your vampires broke the treaty,” He sternly said. “Which one?” I plainly asked. He chuckled, “All dead by now.” Yeah, asshole that’s why your cousin is here. “Then what’s the purpose of this meeting? They tried to breach the treaty, and they died. What now? Do you want the vampire king to apologise?” I scoffed. He chuckled, but the change in his eyes told me he wasn't in the mood to play around. "My cousin went missing the same day those vampires died for trying to take her away. If any of you have anything to do with her disappearance then-“ “Think before you threaten me. We have nothing to do with your damn cousin. She is none of our business,” I hissed. “I hope she isn’t. But mind my words, if vampires had anything to do with her, I will burn all the vampires alive in their own damn place,” He said, his eyes turned red with golden circles forming around them. A growl left his mouth. Smoke appeared around him as if he were standing in the middle of the raging fire. I have never seen any wolf with red eyes before… And the smoke… That means it was true… The werewolf king and princess are also elemental wolves. And he has the element of fire. The rage in his eyes and the smoke around him were so much that it was easy to tell he had more powers than Liam Knight. I gazed directly into his furious eyes, my blood red eyes facing his fiery eyes, and I nodded, “Whatever I said was true, but if you still think it was one of us, I’ll look into this on my own. But if not, you will stop blaming us.” “Deal.” He said and disconnected the call. His threatening gaze and words exploded the rage that I was holding back for the last five minutes, and I threw the laptop across the room! Nobody has ever dared to threaten me like that before! Nobody! “Louis? What’s wrong?” Michelle said while entering my office. “Contact our witch… Tell Dorian and Adrian to bring her here at the earliest,” I commanded Michelle. That twenty two years old werewolf king did what nobody else was able to do in the whole ninety-nine years of my existence. I have taken their lives before giving them a chance to look into my eyes, and this damn werewolf king… I will tell him who will burn whom in their damn place...
