"It's time for you to face your past and move on!!" the words echoed in my mind as we neared our destination. Ahaan too became still, meaning he too received the same message. I know someday or the other I needed to confront him but never in my life had I thought that this day would come so early! "We are here ma'am." the driver notified us and I looked out of the window. The prison was more like a royal court. No one could ever escape from here, at least this was what I used to think till today but little did I knew what fate had in it's mind. " I know it's hard, let's go back home. I'll talk to bhabhi, I'll convince everyone. let's just leave." Ahaan begged me to leave, desperation clearly visible in his eyes.  At this moment I can clearly see the future. I know it's time, we have both already delayed it and if we delay it today as well then we'll never do it again. I turned back towards Ahaan, giving him a light smile, I took hold of his hand and pulled him inside. I pulled him back in time, making him face his past along with me." We can do this Ahaan." As we walked deeper inside, the cells were all visible to us. Each carrying one or two prisoners.  they were all wearing white clothes with black dots. Some had many strains on them while others looked pretty much clean. " Welcome sir, ma'am. Queen Sara had already called us. They are both waiting for you, whom would you both like to meet first?" One of the chief inspector asked us and my heart beat increased. Knowing that I'll see him after a whole of 2 years made me hold Ahaan's hand tightly. He looked down at me with an assuring smile and talked to the inspector. " We'll see the man first." Ahaan said holding my hand tightly. Beads of sweat started forming  on my temple as we neared his cell. All his habits, his sweet surprises then his sudden change in behavior, everything. " He has been one of the most silent prisoners of all times. Sometimes we even consider to let him go but the King has ordered us." The inspector spoke making me remember few of our conversations. "what will you do if someday you get caught?" I asked him as I lay beside him on our bed. "nothing, I'll just act all innocent and get my punishment reduced so that I can run and come back to you!!" he said holding me tight and looking straight in my eyes. " we are here!" The inspector spoke bringing me back to reality.  " Let's go." Ahaan said dragging me inside but before we could enter I stopped, making in stop as well. " What happened?" He asked looking concerned. " I need to do this alone. You go and meet Diya." I said reassuring him that I'm enough capable to take care of this matter alone. There are few things I need to talk to him about and I know I can't do it with him beside me. " Are you sure? I mean I can just stand and wait outside if you need me?" He asked, concern fully laced in his words. I looked up to him and smiled again as I walked past the door entering in a world of pain and suffering. His back was what I saw first. I can clearly see the outline of his body. He has become more petite, more dull. Hearing my voice he turned to look at me. There were dark circles around his eyes and the usual shine they had was lost as well.  One look at him and I fought hard to not allow myself to just go and bury myself in his embrace. " I knew you'll come around. " He said giving me a sad smile.  If I  wouldn't have known better I might have fallen for his tricks but I'm way more changed person now. " I needed answers. " I said walking towards him. " I'm sorry Shazi...  I really am. " His eyes held pain,  it felt like he has paid too much for his sins. " You lost the right to call me that.  And now cut the crap and give me my answers. " I said maintaining my straight face and ignoring the pain in my heart.  Hearing my words his expression changed and within seconds there was a creepy smile on his face. " So you won't believe me anymore?  Looks like little bird learned to fly! " He walked closer to me.  His words laced with venom. " When did you marry Diya? Before me or after me? " I asked looking straight in his eyes . " Before you.  You were nothing more than a toy. " His answered in a bored tone.  He didn't know but those words broke millions of my assumptions. " Why do you want to separate Appi and Jiju?  Why make them suffer? " " I was paid for that. Why do you think I listened to Aasif's mother? " His every answer left me with many more questions. " And why would she pay you to kill her own son? " I asked again,  this time my voice shattered a bit. I do not know why but his straight forward answers were getting to me. I  never thought this would be so easy. " Who  said about killing her own son?  She payed me to kill Aasif not her son. " he spoke in riddles. His every word left me more confused than before. " What do you mean? " I asked,  more confident than before to know my answers. " I thought you were smart enough to understand what I mean.  It's a shame your sister ruined your intelligent brain. " He came close to me and pointed towards my heart. " I remember when I lived here,  you were way too smart but now,  I don't know. " his words hit me hard. Do I still have a place for him in there? What is it he actually means. " That can't be true.  I know you're lying.  How is it possible for Jiju to not be the son of his own mother? " I pushed him away and once again looked straight in his eyes,  trying to find even a single sign of lying. " The world is darker than you know Shaziya.  All I'll tell you is search for the reality of true prince and you'll know. " He said and turned the other side,  leaving me alone with my own thoughts.  I do not know what to think of his words?  What is the reality of true prince?  Can I even trust him to speak the truth?  And the most important thing,  why is he being so cooperative? How can he so easily answer all my questions? " what makes you think that I'll believe you? " I asked,  more like the words left my mouth on their own. " Oh baby,  I know you way better than you know yourself.  I even know that you get panic attacks frequently and I know that you don't want your family to know why your body is too weak.  Why can't you simply handle few attacks.  Should I go tell them? " He asked,  still facing in the opposite direction.  His words hitting various wounds,  turning them fresh once again. " You... you won't do that! " I stated but it came out more like a question. " Try me babe.  Try me. " His words sent shrills down my spine,  my so called straight posture broke and one can now clearly see the broken girl behind it. " You're sick! " I said as I started leaving,  feeling the need to throw his out of my eyesight. " That I am babe but remember you once loved this sick way too much. Oh!  And don't forget no one else will marry you after knowing... -" " Stop!  Just stop! " I yelled as tears streamed down my eyes. His every word making me more miserable than ever.  Meeting him was not a good idea at all.  I turned around and ran out of his cell but not before hearing his last few words which were enough to leave me depressed for the next few weeks or maybe months. " Darling no man will marry a girl who can't provide him with his next generation!! " His words echoed throughout the cells along with his evil laughter....
