Chapter 13

Alpha Ashley sent another video by email. He had the council members on the camera speak thier name and that they were prisoners of the harvest moon pack. Alpha Ashley warned the Lycan court that he was going to kill them if he wasn't granted a position in the Lycan court. He showed them in their silver cuffs and collars.

"Here are 4 of your council men and woman, do you want their deaths on your minds. Tell them your names and let them know that I'm serious about this. They have a chance to live if you let me become an Alpha of the Lycan court. There is still time left to save them and avoid a war. I wait for your reply" Alpha Ashley told the camera.

The camera showed a close up of each council member. First was the older gentleman.

"I'm Edward Beaman and I've been a councilman for nearly 20 years. I am a grandfather and would like to see my granddaughter for her 1st birthday. Please don't let Alpha Ashley kill me, he is serious about being given a position at the Lycan court" he pleaded.

"I'm Nathan Vans and I've been a councilman for almost 10 years. I lost my mate and would like a second chance mate. I don't want Alpha Ashley to kill me. He is serious about being an Alpha of the Lycan court" the middle-aged man told them.

"I'm Henry Harrison and my father died leaving me a position on the council. I would like to see my son become a member when he's older. Alpha Ashley is serious about having a position in the court, please consider him" the younger man said.

"I'm Cecile Demille and I took my late husband's position. It's hard for women to become members of the council. It has taken me over 4 years to prove that women are just as good as men at being council members. Please don't let my hard work go to waste by refusing Alpha Ashley as an Alpha of the Lycan court" the council woman told them.

Betta Ben was told to shut the camera off and the video uploaded for the email.

"That was good personal stuff that the Lycan court can't ignore. They will have to give me the Alpha position if they don't want their deaths on their hands. It almost seems a shame that I will have to kill them but this is war and I will win it" Alpha Ashley told his Betta.

Betta Ben agreed with him as he recorded Alpha Ashley telling him his mind. Betta Ben thought he would edit that last part of the video but changed his mind. He thought it might show that Alpha Ashley was serious about getting the position at all costs. He uploaded the video to the email and waited for a reply. There was none.

It was several hours later and Alpha Ashley was getting angry. He was thinking about sending another video of the council members being tortured. He was told to be patient by Barron.

"They should have seen the video by now and know that I'm serious about killing them if I don't get the Alpha position. How long does it take to reply their acceptance?" Alpha Ashley demanded.

"There are many members of the court that will need to sign their acceptance. They are preparing the transfer of power and the ceremony" Barron lied to him.

Barron Lucian knew they wouldn't sign over any power to Alpha Ashley. He wanted to buy time so that nobody was killed before they replied to the threat.

"Yes, you're right that would take time. It's good to see you on my side. I think you will be out of the silver cuffs soon. I am not patient enough to wait to kill the council members though. I won't need them once I'm Alpha of the Lycan court" Alpha Ashley said smugly.

"You don't need to kill them. You could still need them before the court transfers the title over to you. It's best to have patience if you want to succeed perfectly" Barron suggested.

"Yes, it's best to wait and let them see me succeed before killing them. That would be perfect" Alpha Ashley said happily.

Barron knew that Alpha Ashley was obsessed with power but didn't know he had become a sadistic dictator. He seemed to enjoy seeing people hurt or dying. Barron wondered why Alpha Ashley had become like this, was it because he never had his mate? He thought about how he treated his own family and knew that it was only a matter of time before Alpha Ashley started killing people. Barron hoped that there would be a rescue team and they would get there on time.

It was nearly dark when Alpha Ashley was about to start torture on his prisoners. There was a noise of many vehicles and gun fire as it approached the pack house. Alpha Ashley had his answer, the Lycan royal army had been sent to fight him.
