The hunter's daughter

'I'm sorry but we must fight now' the Alpha werewolf told Reggie.

The huge werewolf sprung at him and threw Reggie to the ground. Reggie was tempted to submit to him but knew if he did, he would be killed. Reggie struggled to get up and had shifted to his wolf. The werewolf alpha was still half shifted. He lunged at Reggie and managed to miss snapping his back. The Alpha kept leaping and lunging. Reggie could only just avoid getting hurt. He was soon too tired to move far. The Alpha started to bite pieces off Reggie. He was soon starting to howl in pain.

'Come on, young Cooper, fight me' the werewolf alpha growled at him.

' I can't fight you, I'm too weak. Just finish me off quick' Reggie said breathless.

The werewolf alpha came towards Reggie. He didn't move away and waited for the blow that would kill him.

"No, stop don't kill him. Please stop the fight. Take the money, just don't kill my Reggie" Monica shouted.

She ran past angry hunters and jumped into the death arena before anyone could stop her. The Alpha werewolf looked at her amused. He had never seen a hunter so foolishly put themselves in danger before. Reggie looked at her with admiration, she was trying to save him. The werewolves and hunters saw this display of kindness and they weren't impressed. The werewolf alpha watched as Monica went to Reggie and tried to shield him from an attack. He wasn't really going to attack but had to for the hunters. They were yelling at Monica to get out of the arena. Her father was so furious that he had now lost all the money. The Alpha werewolf prevented the hunters from taking Monica and Reggie away from each other.

"I think we shall call this a draw. No winners here, tonight. You can get back the money you had on this fight" the hunter who owned the death arena announced.

There was a lot of angry hunters trying to get back thier money from the fight. Max was one of them. Monica held onto Reggie as the hunters tried to capture the Alpha werewolf.

'You are lucky, young Cooper. I didn't have to kill you, this time. Hopefully I won't see you again or next time, you won't be as lucky' the Alpha werewolf warned him.

The hunters finally captured the Alpha werewolf. He looked at Monica and Reggie with interest.

"I have never seen love between a human hunter and werewolf before but I pray to the moon goddess that she blesses you both" the Alpha werewolf shouted to them as he was led away.

Monica was surprised at what the Alpha werewolf had told them.

"Who was that werewolf?" she wondered.

"That was the Alpha Barron Lucian; he is of royal werewolf blood. You saved my life, Monica. I couldn't have won against him" Reggie said as he smiled weakly at her.

"I had to because you're my mate and I love you" Monica spoke softly to him.

Max was glaring at them both. He was now ashamed by his daughter's actions. He knew he was going to have to punish them both.

"Monica, you brought shame on me and our name. You have allowed yourself to be fooled by this werewolf. You are never to go near him again. I will have to either sell him of send you away" Max yelled at her.

"No, daddy. Please let me stay with him. He's injured and in pain. I need to help him heal" Monica cried.

"No, Monica he can stay here alone. I will not have you fall in love with a werewolf. It's a sickness to love something unnatural and beastly" Max lectured her.

"I won't leave him" Monica shouted at him.

Max went to hit her but Reggie tried to step in the way. Max punched Reggie into a wound that was still healing. Reggie flinched with pain. Max grinned as he lashed onto Reggie and grabbed hold of Monica. He started dragging Monica away from Reggie but she fought her father. Max was unable to get her away from Reggie.

"Fine I'll have to lock up the both of you. You will see what it's like to be treated like a werewolf, Monica. This will be the last time you will be together, so enjoy your time being locked in a cage like a werewolf" Max informed them.

Max led Reggie and Monica to thier cage and locked them both up. He then left them at the death arena, while he arranged to sell Reggie and punish his daughter. Reggie and Monica tried to cuddle each other but Reggie's wounds were still sore.

"Monica, I can't believe you risked your life to save me" Reggie said softly, stoking her hair.

Reggie was so tired and his wolf was trying to heal him. He didn't want to close his eyes as he knew he would miss Monica. She was fighting off sleep too. She knew her father wouldn't leave them together long.

"I had to and I know you would do the same for me" Monica spoke softly back.

They weren't sure how private their cage was and there most likely had cameras watching them, in case they escaped. They tried to enjoy thier time together but knew it would be interrupted sooner or later.

"Monica, will your father really keep you in here with me?" Reggie asked her.

"Yes, until he sells you to the highest bidder. He will take me back home and punish me. I am already being punished for falling in love with you. I won't see you again after I'm seperated from you" Monica cried softly.

"Shh, don't cry, Monica. I will need to escape and I will come back for you" Reggie promised her.

Reggie gently held her close, he was still in pain. He wanted to kiss her and mate with her but his body was too hurt.

" I want to go with you but my father will track us both down and kill us " Monica told him.

" I promise you, when I break free, I'll go back to my pack and I will come save you" Reggie promised her.

"I don't know how you are going to, there's no way to break the lock or your shackles. How will you get past the hunters? You might not make it back to your pack and they might not want to help you save me" Monica cried.

"I know Monica, I will find a way. You will have to wait for me. My wolf has to heal himself and me before we can escape. I promise I'll come back for you, with or without my pack" Reggie promised her.

"How long before your wolf heals both of you?" Monica asked him.

"It's going to take longer with these shackles on and I'm sure I'll be fed wolfsbane. It would not even take a night if I didn't have these on" Reggie admitted to her.

"I will try to help you" Monica told him and tried to cover the shackles with her hands.

"Monica, it's not enough. I need to be free from the shackles. If only we had something to pick them with" Reggie whispered to her.

" I will find you something" Monica promised him.
