Chapter 15

Alpha Barron went outside and met general Riverstone. He was sorting out the transport for all the unmated males. The women and children were to remain behind. It was just to ensure that the pack was no longer a threat to the Lycan kingdom. Alpha Barron was watching most of the men get loaded into a truck except one, who looked familiar.

"General Riverstone, this person claims that he is mated to the former Alpha's sister but he isn't marked" a sergeant called over to them.

"It's alright, I know him. He is her mate" Alpha Barron told him.

"Bring him over, we will allow him to be with his mate" the general told him.

The sergeant had another one help him bring over Brutus. He looked sad and was worn out with worry that he wouldn't see his mate.

"Brutus, it's alright you will be with your mate soon" Alpha Barron told him.

"Thankyou, Alpha Barron" he said relieved.

"Brutus, how come you're not marked?" general Riverstone asked him.

Brutus wasn't sure what he could say. He wanted his mate to mark him but she had refused.

"She will mark you, Brutus. They were going to have a ceremony to celebrate but then this happened" Alpha Barron told them.

Brutus was happy to hear that Alpha Barron approved of his mate. He wanted the marking ceremony.

"Yes, Alpha Barron. We will still have it, if you allow us" Brutus suggested.

"Yes, I will. Your mate will have no choice but to accept it" Alpha Barron told him.

Alpha Barron was going to make sure of that. He knew Alyssa would try to reject her mate. They weren't fated mates but he felt they deserved each other. It would be a better punishment for her to stay mated to Brutus than be free to try and gain power again. Brutus was allowed to go to with his mate. Alpha Barron watched as Brutus gave Alyssa the good news. She looked disappointed and was starting to refuse him.

"Alyssa Cooper, if you don't accept your mate, I will have no choice but to charge you with treason. You were there when your brother was allowing rogues to attack other packs and you even had them attack your own pack. You have mated with Brutus and he will keep you on your best behaviour. You won't be allowed to go anywhere or be around anyone of importance without him. He will make sure you won't try to gain power again. Am I right, Brutus?" Alpha Barron told them.

"Yes, Alpha Barron" Brutus replied.

He knew he was allowed his freedom just to keep guard of Alyssa. He didn't mind because that would mean they could still be mates.

"Alyssa, do you accept your mate or do you wish to spend your life in prison?" Alpha Barron asked her.

"I accept Brutus as a mate" she sighed defeated.

Alyssa didn't want to go to prison and she was sure her life with Brutus wouldn't be too bad. Besides he was good in bed. He had made sure she enjoyed making pups with him.

"Good after your marking ceremony to Brutus, you will need to leave for another pack. I know that you won't be welcomed by the next Alpha of the harvest moon pack" Alpha Barron informed them.

Alyssa was surprised but accepted that it was best to leave the pack. She had lost her friends and even her family. They could start a new life somewhere else. Alpha Barron then went to make a phone call. He was hoping he could convince the Alpha he wanted, to come back to the pack.

"Hello, is this the bold moon pack?" Alpha Barron asked the woman who picked up.

"Yes, who is this?" the woman asked him.

"I am Alpha Barron Lucian of the Lycan kingdom. Is there a Reggie Cooper there?" Alpha Barron asked her.

"Hello, sir I'm Kandy. Yes, Reggie Cooper is here. Just hold for a moment while I go get him" Kandy told him.

She mind-linked someone while they went to find Reggie. After a moment he ran over to the phone.

"Hello, Alpha Barron what can I do for you?" Reggie panted.

He must have run to the phone from the other side of the pack house.

"Reggie, I'm so glad you and your family are safe. I need you to come back here" Alpha Barron told him.

"Why, Monica and I are going to be joining the pack here" Reggie told him.

"I need someone to be the Alpha of this pack, someone I trust will be a good leader. I want you to be Alpha" Alpha Barron told him.

"Are you f*****g serious?" Reggie shouted.

"Yes, I am. Just think about it. Talk to Monica but let me know soon because I will have to go to the Lycan court to be at the treason trial" Alpha Barron told him.

"Yes, I'll think about it" Reggie told him.

He wasn't sure he wanted to go back there, even if he was the Alpha. Monica was starting to feel apart of a pack, finally. He also knew that his old pack needed a strong leader. He was a relative of Alpha Ashley and he was entitled to the position. He said goodbye to Alpha Barron and went somewhere he could think.
