The hunter's daughter

Part 2. Chapter 1

This is part 2 to the hunter's daughter. It continues on the story of Monica and Reggie as they have settled into the harvest moon pack as mates. They are both happy even though the Alpha has treated them unfairly. His sister was Reggie's mate but they both rejected the mate bond. Now the Alpha's sister hates them both. She wants to see them kicked out of the pack. The Alpha won't do as his sister wants; he needs them to stay so the Alpha Barron will keep his guards in the pack. The Alpha Barron wants to protect them from the danger of rogue attacks. There have also been some reports that Reggie's brother has been involved with a rival pack. This rival pack has been known to align themselves with rogues and hunters. Alpha Barron needs Reggie to help him convince his brother to change sides. He goes to visit both Reggie and Monica who are in the hospital after the birth of thier first child.

It had been over 10 months since Alpha Barron had visited the hospital at the harvest moon pack. The last time was when Monica had been recovering from a gun shot wound. She had received it trying to protect Reggie from a hunter. Alpha Barron remembered that they had both risked thier lives to rescue him. All they wanted in return was to be accepted as mates. The Alpha Ashley at the harvest moon pack had only accepted them as mates since they had met the Alpha Barron at the werewolf's fighter's death arena. That was one place he had made sure remained closed. He was sure the hunters had moved thier werewolf death matches to another arena. He was still searching for the hunters responsible for his capture. His visit back at harvest moon was for a joyous reason. Monica and Reggie had given birth to thier first child.

"Are the new parents able to receive visitors?" alpha Barron asked Reggie and Monica.

They looked at him from across the room and smiled.

"Yes, Alpha Barron. We are honoured that you are our first visitor" Reggie told him.

Alpha Barron went over to the crib and looked at the new born werewolf pup. He was in human form but already looked like his father.

"He looks just like you, Reggie" Alpha Barron told him.

"Yes, Monica gave me the best gift" Reggie said smiling proudly at her.

"It was a difficult birth for me since I'm only human and he is a werewolf pup" Monica admitted.

"You did a wonderful job. He is amazing, you both are" Reggie told her. He gently hugged and kissed her.

"Have you named him yet?" Alpha Barron asked them.

"We were hoping to name Lucian after you" Monica suggested.

"Why, Lucian it's only part of my full name?" Alpha Barron wondered.

"It seemed like a normal boys name, not reserved for royalty" Reggie admitted.

"You're right, Barron is more reserved for royalty. I will be honoured for you both to call him Lucian" Alpha Barron told them.

"Thankyou Alpha Barron" Monica told him. He smiled at them.

The baby was sleeping soundly and Alpha Barron didn't want to disturb the new parents too much longer.

"I will leave you both now. Reggie, I will need to talk to you soon. I will be staying here at the harvest moon for the next few days. Let me know when you can spare a few moments away from your family" Alpha Barron told them.

"Yes, Alpha Barron. I will let you know soon" Reggie told him.

The Alpha Barron left them and went back to the pack house where he had to endure Alpha Ashley's constant attention.

"Alpha Barron Lucian Lycan of the Lycan kingdom, welcome back to the harvest moon pack" Alpha Ashley greeted him.

Alpha Ashley's sister Alyssa stood by his side as Alpha Barron went towards them.

"Thankyou but it's unnecessary to greet me in this manner" he told them pointing towards all the warriors and the pack house omega's waiting his arrival.

"It is no trouble for us to greet a royal in the best manner" Alpha Ashley insisted.

"Yes, it is appropriate for a royal visit but I came here to visit friends. I want the visit to be an informal one. There will be no parties or feasts held in my honour, just keep to your pack's routine. I will adjust to your pack's daily activities" Alpha Barron informed Alpha Ashley.

"Alpha Barron it is an honour that you think of us as friends. Are you sure you don't want a dinner party held for you? We are prepared for what ever you want" Alpha Ashley informed him.

"I don't think of you as a friend, I am visiting Reggie and his mate. They have a new born pup" Alpha Barron told him.

Alpha Ashley became disappointed at Alpha Barron's honesty. Alyssa also was disappointed and angry that anyone but her was friends with the Alpha Barron.

"I'm sorry you are not my friend. We have an alliance deal if you wish to discuss it" Alpha Ashley suggested.

"Not at this time, if you excuse me I wish to go to my room. If someone will show me the way" Alpha Barron informed them.

Alpha Ashley nodded and had the head omega show him to his room. When he was gone Alyssa started to complain.

"We should be friends not Reggie and his w***e" she told her brother.

"I agree, those two would be banished if they weren't friends with the Alpha Barron. As for all the trouble I made to prepare for his stay and he doesn't want a dinner party. What kind of a royal would turn down that honour in exchange for visiting those two? They are losers, Reggie and his brother weren't good as Bettas so were demoted to deltas. Reggie and his brother weren't good enough for thier destined mates so Reggie choose a human. How pathetic they both are to lose thier positions and mates. And that human is only good as a seamstress. She would have been the packs w***e if it wasn't saving me money on the clothes budget" Alpha Ashley told her.

"You're right brother. They are losers, we will show Alpha Barron that they are not worthy of being his friends. We can still have a dinner party, there's no need to waste all our preparations" Alyssa told him.

"Yes, we should celebrate my packs success. We will leave the losers with their half breed" Alpha Ashley informed her.

They both went inside and continued on with thier dinner party without thier royal guest or his friends.
