Chapter 4 - Bella's Secret

After a year

Silver Moon Pack

“ Bella “ Alex shouted after his sister who is running away from the house , “ come back here , we still have training to do .”

Bella turned around showing her laughing face making Alex more frustrated.

“ Let her go “ Chester, the second brother said while hiding a smile. “ It’s sunday , let her have some rest .

The third brother and Chester’s twin also voiced his opinion “ I don’t know why father is very strict with her training at all , she’s already far greater than other shewolfs , heck , even better than many werewolfs too “

Alex turned to Damian and Chester and growled angrily

“ You guys follow her , I don’t know what else to do if father finds out she skipped today’s training again.

She’ll be at the pack’s park with her friends “ As the future Alpha and an adult , Alex is left in charge in cases when the Alpha and Beta is off the territory like now .

The Gamma is in charge of the training of the warriors. Alex turned and went to the Alpha’s office while Damian and Chester shrugged their shoulders and went their way to meet shewolfs for a date. Ever since Bella turns 15 years old , she seldom gets to rest because her powers are starting to manifest and she need to practice a lot to be able to control it , they feel that she is entitled to a rest day.

Pack’s Park is a large green land of endless trees , scattered assorted flower plants with a great river for fishing on the north side of the territory which borders with the Red Moon Pack , since both packs are in alliance and friendly to each other , pack members may cross the borders with no difficulty. Thus , it’s a great place to meet friends .

Bella saw her best friend Gabbie , waiting for her. “ Did you have a hard time escaping ? asked Gabbie with a smile .

“Not really , since father is not home , he went over the Red Moon Pack for some meeting , I just have to escape Alex while he was in the shower “ Bella replied with a giggle “ you should see Alex running after me wearing only a towel “

Gabbie laugh along as this is not the first time Bella escape training. She used to come up different ways trying to escape . One time , she even hide all of Alex’s clothes so he can’t follow her. “ Come on , let’s go to the mall .

Liam and the others are all going straight there” Gabbie informed her. “ I’ll drive “ They got in Gabbie’s car and drive to the human mall an hour away.

Next Day Luna Jhoan is training Bella secretly at the southwest property of the pack.

It’s the place few pack members go to as the area is rocky and mountainous. Alex , Chester and Damian are all watching and cheering their sister on. “Do it again “ Jhoan instructed . “But mom , can we take a break ?“ Bella complained.

While her brothers are laughing and teasing her. Her mother replied “ that’s why you need to practice , you have already improved a lot . “

"Why don’t I practice on Alex “ Bellas requested mischievously. She knows her brother don’t want to be the guinea pig or rather guinea wolf.

“ No mom ! “ Alex loudly protested . Damien and Chester is rolling on the ground laughing. “ I still haven’t recovered from last time yet . “

“ It’s easier to learn by experience mom “ Bella said convincingly .

Pointing to Alex , “ ok Alex , come here “ Jhoan instructed .

While Alex obeyed , glaring at his sister . Bella’s power came from the bloodline of Luna Jhoan , nobody at the pack knows that a female ancestor of the Luna far back is a very , very powerful witch hence , all succeeding generation manifest some powers in different levels , some with small or insignificant powers while others inherited powerful ones . It is very rare to inherit more than one power since witch powers are considered negative energy to a werewolf , only a very strong wolf can handle a witch power especially multiple powers.

One of her power is healing , even wounds in worst condition . Fast healing is a trait of a werewolf except for silver. Silver is an enemy of werewolf , in case they consume or get hit with anything with silver , that’s the time they can’t heal themself and die . Bella can heal silver wounds , it’s as if she can absorb the silver inside her body and neutralize it. Silver can’t affect her . That’s why , the family is keeping it a secret fearing others will use Bella for evil. “ Let’s start again with healing wounds “ Luna Jhoan instructed.

"Damian and Chester , please prepare Alex but please , light wounds only .

“ To be able to use Bella’s power , they need to intentionally cause wounds on Alex’s person . Werewolf have a high tolerance to pain , and training is much painful than this , but the marks left behind is embarrassing for them especially for the brothers since they are Alpha’s sons , others will assume they got beaten in training which they can’t defend themself because it’s a secret. They tend to hide for a few hours at home after such events. That night at home .

“ What happen to your face ? “ Alpha Jacob asked his son Alex. They are at the dinning table eating dinner. Alex face is bruised with one eye almost shut.

“ Bella is training her powers . “ he mumbled .

“ Well ..... she is improving “ Damian inserted in support.

“ You don’t look as bad as before “ Alpha Jacob agreed looking at Bella with a encouraging smile which she replied “ thanks dad . “

Omega Jen , their cook , walks in with dinner of pot roast , baked turkey and apple pie so all conversation slowed . Bella know that with three brothers and a sister , she should eat immediately or her brothers will finished the food in no time.

Luna Jhoan also said “ a little more practice and I know that Bella will be able to control more of her power “ turning to Sam while eating ,

“ what about you Sam , how is your training going on ? “ Sam smiled back and replied “ It’s getting there mom , don’t worry “.

“ Bella’s birthday is coming up soon , you’re turning 16 so we need to prepare for a big party “ Alpha Jacob commented . “ we need to invite some of our allies to the party “

“ If you are going to invite that many guest , better to held it at the pack park “ Jhoan suggested .

“ I think a big party is a great idea “ Alex said while Damian and Chester nodded in agreement

“ I would like to invite all the she wolfs “ while his brothers nodded faster.

“ Yeah “ Damian mumbled while chewing. Chester is giving a thumbs up gesture .

“ You guys always just think of she wolfs all the time “ Sam scolded her brothers .

“ Of course “ Chester shrugged his shoulder .

“ Can we just celebrate it at home ? no need to have a big party “ Bella shyly intervened . “ i don’t think I will be in a party mood since it’s my first time to shift “

Luna Jhoan stand up and went to hug Bella , “ I know that you are nervous but you will be fine , look at your brothers “ she nodded to her sons in turn.

“ I know mom “ , Bella hug back “ It’s their brain that is in question “ laughing out loud while Alex tried to lunged at her .

“ Okey guys , that enough “ their father said. “ If Bella doesn’t want a big party , we can do a family and close friends only , Is that agreeable with you ? “ turning to Bella . “ I think I can handle that “ “ Not to worry , we will be there to guide you Bella “ Alpha said comforting her .

Shifting is a very painful process for some wolfs and it’s most painful the first time until the body adapts . Since wolfs with alpha bloodlines tend to be bigger than normal , It will be also more painful than most . Since her three brothers already shifted , Bella and Sam already witnessed how painful the process is especially with Alex since he will be the future alpha. At daybreak , they woke up to the news that the Red Moon Pack is being attacked by rouges , some of their warriors with Gamma Vince went over to give help while Alpha Dominic and Beta Jason beef up the security of the pack territory . After sometimes , news of the death of many Red Moon Pack’s members including the Alpha and Luna reach them. Since they are beloved by everyone , even Silver Moon Pack got sad. It’s a reminder for everyone that they have to be diligent in keeping the pack safe and training to fight.
