Chapter 12 - The Agreement

That night after dinner , Alpha Jacob have asked Bella for a talk at his study. Luna Jhoan went to join them. Sitting in his chair , Alpha Jacob stated

" Bella , I know you are wondering why I called you here " Alpha Jacob continued " I had discuss this with Alpha Nick beforehand and he agreed with the proposal and now , I would like to discuss this with you also , but I would like for you to know that your mother and I have only the best intension in mind "

" Dad , hearing that , I am getting concern " Bella answered while glancing at her mother for any clue

" Darling , you know you don't need to be concern , we only want what is best for you " Luna Jhoan assured her.

" I know mother " Bella smiled , reassured.

" As you know , violence is increasing for the past few years , I know that our pack is strong and we have alliances with a lot of packs but I have to assure that our pack will stay as strong as we can , since it's been also a year and you haven't found your mate , I know it's sad but we have to be practical about this " Alpha Jacob stated hurting for his daughter not finding her mate.

" I don't know .... I have to think about this Bella said , undecided and confuse.

" I know that you love our pack so I'm asking you for our pack , alliance is one thing but family alliance is better , when we know that Alpha Nick's pack is one of the best pack there is , even just an alliance know , most are already afraid to bother us. "

Luan Jhoan inserted " It's also that very far from here so we can visit each other more often too "

" What do you think " Bella asked her wolf , Sierra " I really loose hope that we have a mate anyway , and if agreeing with this arrangement is beneficial to our pack , why not "

" I still have hope that we will have a mate but I really have to admit , I don't think that we do , I have never feel the pull of the mate bond , " Sierra said " I know that you are very disappointed and I am too but , maybe Nick will make us happy too

Alpha Jacob mind link his Beta to ask Alpha Nick to join them in the study. After a while , Alpha Nick joined them.

Sitting across Bella and Luna Jhoan , he waited with impassive expression. Bella can't read if Alpha Nick is happy with the agreement or not , feeling that maybe he is only agreeing with the proposal due to indebtedness as Alpha Jacob had help them a lot specially during the time they needed it most 3 years ago.

" I have a few conditions first , number 1 is I would like to stay at your pack first , to check if I will be happy there and if the pack will only be happy with me , I'm afraid that since I am not your mate , they will not accept me . Number 2 is that I can visit my pack anytime and they can visit me too and last is I know that I will be the Luna but I like to continue my training ."

Alpha Nick nod in agreement " I accept with a few revision , you can visit your pack if and when I am assured of your safety also you can train with people I approve of , as you say , you will be luna so I can't have you train with lowly pack members and last , I know that my pack will accept you as they trust me to find someone worthy. I will be returning to my pack in 2 days and I would like Bella to go with me " Alpha Nick stated .

" But , that's too soon " Bella protest looking at her mother for support.

" Due to the recent rogue attacks, I seldom leave my pack , and I also don't want to have you travel without me " Alpha Nick explained.

Luna Jhoan went to Bella to hug her " delaying won't make this easier , maybe this is for the best " kissing her on the forehead . Bella slowly nodded sadly.

Pulling her up , Luna Jhoan said " why don't we start packing ? " looking at Alpha Jacob as a signal .

" Yes " Alpha Jacob agreed immediately " why don't you girls start packing , while Nick and I discuss more about the pack alliance "

Finally , Bella let Luna Jhoan pull her from the study to go to her bedroom.

At Bells's Bedroom

Upon entering , Luna immediately went to the closet picking clothes off the rack as she chooses what Bella to bring with her , while Bella just sat on her bed. Immediately after , Gabbie burst thru the door shouting " Is it true ? , Is it really true ? "

" Calm down Gabbie , you'll have a heart attack " Bella try to diffuse the moment . " yes , it's true "

" What...where ...when ........ , how is this possible ? " Gabbie asked confuse , " I thought that you haven't since Alpha Nick for 3 years " .

" Sit down and don't freak out ok , my parents just inform me a while ago "

" What !!! but why ...how ..."

" It's really just for a pack treaty "

" Oh ... well... it's still an opportunity as Alpha NIck is eligible, he's a strong alpha , not to mention hot and gorgeous and maybe it's for the best"

Laying down the clothes , Luna Jhoan went to sit beside Bella , hugging her sideways " Just give it a try and maybe you'll find your happiness with him and if after a year , you are still not happy with him , we can break the pack treaty , you know that your father and I just want your happiness above all"

" I know mother " Bella lean her head back on Luna Jhoan's shoulder. " I know that you always want the best for us "

At the dinner table , Alpha Jacob broke the news to the rest of the family . All are happy for Bella except the eldest brother as he is so protective of his sisters.

" You know that if you need us that we are always here " Luke informed Bella " I know that our parents already said this but , just be yourself and the Red Moon Pack will love you "

Early the next day , the whole family came out to wave Bella goodbye. As the family embrace Bella for the final farewell , Alpha Jacob and Alpha Nick stood by the car in conversation.

" I hope that you will help Bella to settle in at your pack " Alpha Jacob requested .

" She'll be fine , I know that they will come to accept her " Alpha Nick promised.

After a few more minutes , Alpha Nick with Bella and the entourage started their journey back home. As Bella sat beside Alpha Nick , she wonders what the future will be. She is beloved by her pack and she is confident that she will be also be loved by her new pack.
