Alpha's Choice

Chapter 10 - Go with the flow

    At the breakfast table , all are already seated eating while Omega's continue to set down plates of foods . Alpha Nick is seated across Alpha Jacob exchanging light conversation while beside him sat his beta Gavin.  Gabbie hurriedly sat beside Alex leaving the seat beside Alpha Nick the lone vacant one. Bella have no choice but to seat beside Alpha Nick while Gabbie winking at her across the table. 

    " Good morning Bella , Gabbie " Beta Gavin greeted. " It's been a long while "

    " Good morning " Bella replied back " It's nice to see you again "  Intentionally avoiding Alpha Nick which the latter glaring at Beta Gavin .

    " Bella , Gabbie , you know Alpha Nick of the Red Moon Pack ? " Alpha Jacob asked

    " Yes Alpha " Gabbie confirmed " We have met before " while Bella remained silent.

    " Bella , I would like to request for you to show Alpha Nick and Beta Gavin around before the main convention start at 1 pm " Alpha Jacob Instructed.

    " But father , I 'm already scheduled to help with the day center today as some pack leaders also brought their children along so they are in need of volunteers " Bella explained.

    " I'm willing to go in you place Bella " Gabbie offered while winking at her.

    Which Bella returned , glaring at Gabbie while insisting " Why don't you show Alpha Nick and Beta Gavin around since you are free " which Gabbie immediately turned down.

    " Oh , I'm sure that Alpha Nick and Beta Gavin will be more comfortable with you as you are more knowledgeable about the pack and the territory "

    Alpha Jacob intervened " Yes Bella , it will be better if you will be the guide "

    " If Bella is too busy ...." Alpha Nick said " We can just go around on our own "

    Luna Jhoan insisted " Don't be ridiculous " turning to Bella to prove a point " we are not too busy for our important guest and you are technically like family "    

    " I can tour them around " Alex offered which earned a smile with Bella but before she can voice out her agreement , Alpha Jacob injected

    " You can't Alex , I need you and also Chester and Damian for the convention while Sam will be with your mother so that leave only you " 

    Feeling no other way , Bella gave a fake smile and said " I would be honored to guide you Alpha Nick and Beta Gavin around the territory. "

    " Thank you " Alpha Nick returned smirking as he knows that Bella doesn't want to and still feel embarrassed for what happen earlier. " I know that we will have a great time "

    After Breakfast , Both Alpha Nick and Beta Gavin went out with Bella for the tour. 

    " ....and this is our training grounds , experts and elites are trained here while novice and intermediates are trained at the building next door " Bella explained , showing the training area of the pack.

    " With your permission Alpha Nick , I would like to watch the training sessions of the elites , maybe I can pick up new ways to implement at our own training protocols " Beta Gavin asked

    " Permission granted " Alpha Nick replied.

    " Why don't we all stay here to watch " Bella asked as she doesn't want to be alone with Alpha Nick .

    " No ... no , I'm sure Alpha Nick would rather see more of the pack grounds " Beta Gavin injected .

    " Maybe Bella is afraid to be alone with me " Alpha Nick said smirking .

    " As if ... of course not " Bella denied " come on....it's almost lunch time " turning to Alpha Nick " where do you want to go ? " 

    " Why don't we go near the opposite border ? "

    " Sure " Bella agreed with a challenge " but the place is rocky and mountainous , are you up to it ? " 

    Beta Gavin said his goodbye and turn to go to the training area while Bella and Nick continue on with the tour. Normally , tours are not given to guest packs since they can see or access security measures of the pack but since Alpha Jacob make a exception with Alpha Nick , Bella agreed on his request and started to lead to the southwest park of the territory. Along the way , they encountered pack members looking at Alpha nick with interest . Bella can hear some whispering even if they are quiet far away 

    " Is that Alpha Nick .......Red Moon Pack ...." one female pack member asked her companion

    " I ........that he was so handsome ....."

    Looking at Alpha Nick , his face showed no reaction at all , maybe that's why no one is even attempting to great them when normally , pack members are curious of quest and like to ask questions especially the older women members who sometime pass the time to socialite. After a while , they had reach the southwest border where Bella normally train her magics which is hidden from sight.  To reach the plateau  area , they need to climb partway the mountain . During the walk , neither said a word but upon reaching the destination , Alpha Nick can't help but admire the scenery. The blue sky , the blue green crystal clear river , far away , you can also see the dots of cottages . 

    "  This is a great view , of course , not as great as our view but maybe one of the best I saw and it's so peaceful here " Alpha remarked which surprised Bella since Nick doesn't seem the type to admire scenery.

     Seeing Bella startled look he explained " My mom used to take me and  Sofia for a picnic , she used to say that since I will be the alpha in the future and will be very busy , she want us to bond as a family before that happens . She taught us to appreciate simple life like a good weather , sun shinning , great view and the likes. Sometimes , our father will also join us. " looking out the clear blue sky " Seeing such great weather reminds me of our mom , or rather also all good things in life remind me of my mom , her big heart and happiness in simple things "
