Meeting Alpha James

As I sat there looking out the window, I was deep in thought. My sight caught Levi with the 2 ranch hands herding some cattle through some pastures.

Once hearded into the last pasture, Levi got off his horse and walked back towards the house. I heard voices raised, so I got up and went outside there arguing with Levi was the last person I expected to see again. My heart started beating faster, and my hands started to sweat. There stood Clay face to face with Levi.

“What the hell is going on out here?” I shouted as I made my way towards them. Suddenly

“Daddy.” Jay and Gemma came barreling out from the backyard and ran to Clay.

He scooped them both up and held them to him. He just stared at me.

“What are you doing here Clay?”

“Well, I came to see my children.”

“Jay, Gemma, my loves can you go back to Rose please?”

Just then Rose came to the gate of the backyard.

“Rose, can you take the twins inside and give them a snack please?”

The pleading look on my face she picked up on. Then she called the children. He kissed them both on the cheek and placed them down.

“But Daddy, will we see you again soon?” Jay asked.

“Of course son, I’ll see you soon.” Clay smiled down at him.

The twins both ran back towards Rose. I made sure that they were gone before I swung around and glared at Clay.

“I’ll ask you again Clay, what are you doing here?”

“Well, you took off and took my kids. Do you honestly think I would just let you walk away from me? Why did you leave?”

“WHAT! Are you serious? You think I’m going to stay and be humiliated and disrespected through everyone knowing about your affairs, let alone your abuse.”

I don't not know where this courage was coming from. Inside I was a wreck. The sweat was dripping down my back, my breathing was ragged, and I so just wanted to go back inside my house and lock the door.

“That’s right. You have to bring that up all the time, don’t you? I’ve apologized for all that. I cannot let my mate and my kids just walk away from me. Do you know all the problems you have caused? Well do you?” He yelled at me.

All the time Levi was standing close by me.

“And who the f**k is this asshole? Your sugar daddy?” He smirked at me.

“You sick bastard! Not everyone is like you Clay, and it doesn’t matter who he is, that is none of your business.”

Seriously, where has all this inside me come from, but I wasn’t going to back down from him. I know he’s an alpha and my mate, but I’m not going to let him push me around no more.

I saw red swirls in his eyes. I knew his wolf was close, he wasn’t going to let me disrespect him. But right now, I don’t care my babies were inside and even though I knew I couldn’t do much to him he could quite easily kill me and take my babies. He was on my land now, and I’m so done with taking his s**t.

“You’re coming home with me Sydnee, with my kids! Go pack and then we’re leaving.”

“Ha! You think you can come here and order me around. For 5 years you have abused me, mentally and physically Clay. I am not coming with you. This is my home now.”

I took a deep breath,

“I want a divorce!”

“No way do you think you can call the shots Sydnee? I am the Alpha and you're just my human mate. Do you know the humiliation I would go through just because you are doing all this from a temper tantrum!”

My hands balled into fists. I so wanted to punch him. But for the first time in years, I felt so good in myself standing up to him and not backing away. I knew he wouldn't give me a divorce that easy. Yes, we were mates which had ended, but in my world we were still legally married.

Clay suddenly sniffed the air, his head snapped towards me.

“Wolves! Why are there wolves here?”

Just then Dexter and Simon walked over to us and stood beside Levi.

“Listen young man,” Levi started.

“NO! You listen whoever the f**k you are. Stay the f**k out of this! This has nothing to do with you.” He stared at Levi, his hands balling into fists.

With the staring contest, I saw a truck coming up the road towards the house. As it got closer, Clay swung around and he went rigid. Once the truck had stopped, the truck door opened and this huge man got out and started walking towards us. I couldn’t take my eyes off of him. I was dumb struck. My mouth was open, and I’m sure I was drooling. He stood there not far from Clay.

“James,” Levi nodded at him.

I looked at Levi and saw that Simon and Dexter had their necks bare towards this man who I now know was called James.

“Alpha!” they both said in unison.

“James turned to look at Clay.

“Ah, Alpha Clay from the Deep Shadow Pack, nice to see you again!” as he walked over to me.

“Miss Myers, it’s nice to meet you! I’m Alpha James, but you can call me James. No need for formals.”

I stood there, not a word coming from my mouth. I just couldn’t take my eyes off of this god like Adonis. He was at least 6ft 6. He had black hair on-top of his head but shaved on the back and sides. He had a sharp nose but beautiful green eyes. He had muscles upon muscles and his arms were as his as tree trunks. I glanced further down and blow me he was big.

I was brought back to my senses when someone coughed. I looked at Clay. I could see he was struggling with his wolf. His eyes were flashing between red and brown. Once he had his wolf under control, he stepped towards me and went to grab my arm. Just as he reached out, James grabbed it.

“Do not touch her young Alpha!”

“She is my mate. Who do you think you are to get in between mates Alpha James?” Clay spat at him.

“Watch your mouth boy, you may be an alpha, but here you are on Sydnees ranch. She has young pups around and as a father you should respect her in front of others. Now I suggest you get back in your truck and go home.”

“ You can’t tell me what to do, Sydnee please we need to talk! I want you and the kids to come home. Please, I miss you.”

“Haha please Clay, the only thing you miss is your punching bag, now please leave! There is nothing for us to talk about. My lawyer will send you the divorce papers.”

“This isn’t over Sydnee! Believe me when I say You will come back.”

“The hell I will.” I shouted at him. I crossed my arms over in front of my chest and watched him.

He growled at me then stormed away, got in his truck and skidded off down the road. Once he was out of sight, all my strength vanished. I felt my knees buckling beneath me. Uncle Levi grabbed me by my arm to steady me. James, in one swoop, lifted me bridle style and took me back into the house.
