Earlier today, my lawyer called to inform me that he and my ex-wife's lawyer were in court for separate matters. However, they worked out a deal to finalize my divorce today if I could make it to court this afternoon. It was a stroke of luck that I was off work, making it the perfect opportunity to put an end to this chapter of my life finally.
I decided to give Amy a call to update her on my current situation and to congratulate her on her recent legal victory. From what I gathered through various media outlets, she seems to have come out on top in her latest court case. I can only imagine the relief and joy she must be feeling, especially after experiencing a loss in her previous trial.
