The Witch with Amnesia

Rebecca, is the former Aiden in the Heresy Judgement Bureau relationship is not bad colleagues, than Aiden a year later into the unit, once in Aiden led the squad stayed, but also the younger generation of the ability of the backbone of the investigator is quite outstanding. After inheriting the identity and memories of the previous owner of the body, Aiden also rightfully inherited the interpersonal relationships from his life, and the farewell banquet when Aiden left the unit to take up a post in the Rosebud Iron Prison was still organised with the help of Rebecca. The investigators of the Heresy Judgement Bureau often risk injury or even death in the line of duty when responding to some high-risk tasks of hunting black wizards and fae criminals. The first-line Inquisitors left their posts to "recuperate", basically to recuperate from their injuries. "Just last week, we found out the information that the S-class wanted criminal Precia had moved to the dense forest south of the city, and Rebecca led the raid." Harold struck a match and roasted his cigar while giving him the cause. "The witch Precia?" "Ah, that's her." Witch Precia, a wanted witch by the Heresy Judgement Bureau, a red danger marking S-class wanted criminal, specialising in spirit magic, as an important member of the "Witch Coven", her bounty was not below that of the original Witch Daley. "Did you catch him?" "Caught, there was a slight situation during the raid, the members of the search team got separated in the dense forest. But Rebecca alone chased them to Precia's residence and arrested Precia." "That's pretty impressive." Aiden sighed heartily in admiration. Even for the superior Inquisitor's queue of experienced masters, being able to single-handedly take on a Red Alert level criminal alone was still a great feat that could only be achieved by a few strong people. When Aiden left, Rebecca had only just been promoted to Superior Inquisitor, but she had grown so much in just a few years. If Precia was caught, then it probably wouldn't be long before she would be transferred to the Rose Iron Prison. "But she has amnesia now." Chief Harold said in a deep voice. "Amnesia?" "There was a situation during the capture, she was hit by Precia's mental attack, and her memory is partially impaired, the situation is a bit tricky, and it seems to be a bit difficult to recover." Harold lit the cigar up, took a drag and exhaled a puff of smoke. "Since we've captured Precia, why don't we let her try to recover Rebecca's memories ah, isn't she very good at spiritual black magic?" This was the first option Aiden thought of. Harold swept him a glance with complicated eyes and reprimanded, "Only you kid would immediately consider this kind of bad idea, don't get too close to those monsters, they are all criminals!" After Aiden left the prison and worked his way up to become the warden of the Rosebud Iron Prison, he soon added another "bright spot" on his body that made Harold deeply unhappy, that is, he was "very close" to the criminals of the Rosebud Iron Prison. The Heretic Judgement Bureau is a typical public security organ, and it's the kind with extremely strict culture, their job is to catch criminals with strong combat power, and criminals are pure enemies to them. Harold was a very typical Heresy Judge, and not only did he have no trust in the criminals that the Heresy Judgement Bureau was responsible for capturing, but he carried a considerable degree of hostility towards them. Aiden, however, as a prison guard is a completely different story; to him, criminals are the people he works with. The criminals he faced had all been apprehended and most had had their fangs and claws removed. Because he has to spend a long time with the people who commit these crimes, he cannot always put the criminals on the opposite side of the fence. Though again, he had no trust in the criminals, he would still at least try to communicate with them on the same side of the fence. The different nature of the work dictates a different way of thinking; simply put, Aiden will take advantage of criminals, but in Harold's eyes this approach is tantamount to asking a tiger for its hide. In fact, when Aiden had asked the Heresy Judgement Bureau in the past to allow Daley and Arsenal to study f*******n arts to provide the results in exchange for a reduced sentence, it had taken a considerable amount of effort to convince Harold. "Criminals are valuable talents too." Aiden calmly returned, "Moreover, it's about Rebecca's recovery, so you shouldn't be so formal." Harold stared at Aiden for a moment and grunted, "Do you think I'm really senile? I certainly wouldn't be unwilling to try it if I could try it ...... but it's impossible to do." "What do you mean?" "Because the witch, Precia, has also lost her memory." Harold returned without a trace of emotion, "And it's worse than Rebecca's, she can't even remember who she is." "How come?" Aiden frowned slightly. "Rebecca still has some memory fragments of the incident, and as she reported, what happened was that when Precia was inflicting a mental attack on her, she shot at Precia before the magic took effect, hitting the witch in the arm with a Devouring Bullet. Rebecca fainted from the mental shock, but Precia was also hit by the backlash of her own magic and had her memories washed away." "There's still such a thing ......" "The results of the psychiatric evaluation also proved that Precia now has no memory at all, and it's impossible to count on her." Harold said quietly. "That's troublesome." Aiden couldn't help but sigh. Witch Precia's complete loss of memory didn't just mean that Rebecca had one less avenue through which she might be able to regain her memory, it also meant that Aiden would next have to take in a prisoner who needed special care. With Witch Precia's status, he would more than likely have to put her in the Core. But a woman with no memory falling into the middle of the g**g of monsters in the core area was like a lamb falling into a pack of wolves. "So go see that girl sometime, she has almost no memory of her work at the Heretic Judgement Bureau at all right now. Getting in touch with the people she used to work with might help her recovery." Harold said softly. Technically, Aiden didn't really have much experience working with Rebecca, though the memories still remained in his head. He agreed for the time being, "Okay, I'll go visit her when I'm done with this." "There are fewer and fewer capable people in the Bureau, and I'm afraid that the days ahead are going to be difficult." Harold took a puff of his cigar, tilted his head and sighed quietly, at the same time glancing at Aiden in a meaningful way, almost saying "you should come back to your job" out loud. Based on Aiden's inherited memories, Harold actually wanted to cultivate his predecessor Aiden as his successor in his job. Aiden said, "It's not that I don't want to help you, it's just that my ability is limited." ...... "Then time is running out, I will take my leave first." This place is not suitable to stay for a long time, Aiden hurriedly bid farewell to his former boss. "Get lost, brat." Harold bit his cigar and squeezed out a curse from the corner of his mouth.
