A Complete Rotten Man

"You're still planning on killing people when you get out of prison?" Hearing Carmilla say that, Aiden immediately tightened his brows. "I chose to honestly go to jail simply because the general trend is that the g**g is already going down the drain, and I have no choice but to protect myself. But that doesn't mean I intend to swallow this breath in silence, not only did that scum undermine me, but he also sent that kind of stupid woman to prison to annoy me, how could I possibly let him off the hook? A tooth for a tooth, an eye for an eye, that's how I roll!" Instead of gritting her teeth when she said this, Carmilla was all smiles and glowing eyes, like a child who saw a favourite toy. She was indeed an unbelievably violent person, and she was looking forward to killing her enemies with great anticipation. Carlo Polpo was more of a valuable prey in her eyes than a bitter and deadly enemy. "The Mounties aren't going to pursue you for your previous offences, you'll be considered clean when you get out." Aiden stared at her and reminded, "If you come in here with another offence, you'll be here for the rest of your life, if not dead." "Are you worried about my life here, Lord Jailer?" Carmilla replied back in a sarcastic tone, "Unfortunately for me, a rotten person like me hasn't had much of a life to speak of since I was born. Even if I don't settle the score with that piece of s**t, I won't be able to live a proper life when I get out, after all, I've been in gangs since I was hairy down there, and that's the only way I, ah, know how to live my life." Em registered that Carmilla's file didn't even say she was twenty years old, but her resume in the gangs was over five years. He suddenly became a little interested in Carmilla's past, "Say, why did you join the g**g anyway?" "No particular reason, I think it was when I was thirteen or fourteen, or was it fifteen? I can't remember clearly, I've never had a birthday ......," Carmilla scratched her hair a bit irritably, "Anyway, it was during that period of time that the woman who gave birth to me fell in love with a gangster's cadre. I didn't have a problem with that sort of thing, but one day, that cad hit on me. That woman then helped him find an opportunity to lock me in a room with him so that he could f**k me at will." As she said that, Carmilla paused, a lecherous smile coming to her face, "Then, I simply f****d him until he could no longer get up in bed." "What do you mean?" Aiden raised an eyebrow. "I beat the man until he was half-paralysed, then broke all his fingers and finally gouged out one of his eyes." Carmilla said with an excited look on her face, as if she was recounting some fond memory, "That pair of dogs thought I was just a brat and easy to deal with, but they didn't know that I had awakened my bloodline long ago." Aiden and Veronica subconsciously glanced at each other, Carmilla's story was, indeed, that much more lurid. "Your own mother actually helped your stepfather with something like that?" Veronica grimaced. "The woman who gave birth to me does this." Carmilla held out a finger with a mocking face, a gesture that had a special meaning in this world, "Not the kind that comes out to make money on their own, but the kind that is sold to the gangs to do this kind of work, and a large portion of the money they make every day is siphoned off by the gangs. I don't know when and which customer with a strange bloodline had screwed accidentally pregnant, before giving birth to me. Since I can remember, she has never cared about me, food is also a meal without a meal to give, to her, I am a burden. At that time both she and the man thought I was old enough to be used to make money, but I didn't realise I'd put myself through it." Carmilla said it with a light heart and even a smile on her face, as if she was telling about someone else's business, "But beating the g**g's cadre like that was a big trouble, even if it was just to save face they had to settle for me. In order to seek refuge, I simply defected to a g**g that was hostile to them, and then in turn destroyed that g**g. Honestly, I don't see anything wrong with that, in the old city, being a gangster is a prestigious job. Compared to those who can only be squeezed, I'm already lucky to have been born with that kind of blood to fall back on." Veronica couldn't help but be creeped out by the fact that Carmilla and her life trajectories were very different, both being born different. Aiden had once mentioned to her that there were some people in this world who came from twisted circumstances, who were destined to follow a crooked path because they had no choice, and Carmilla, obviously, was one of those people. Being stuck with such a twisted family still made orphans like her incredibly lucky in comparison. "So yeah, I was born into the rotten. It wasn't long after I remembered that I learnt how to steal, I probably wasn't even ten when I became the kid king of the g**g of wild kids that ran the old city, and I actually learnt to run those shops to extort money before I joined the g**g. By the time I got into the g**g, I could already be considered evil ...... " Carmilla said with a disinterested look on her face, "I'm utterly rotten, Lord Jailbird, and I'd advise you that it's better if you don't harbour any illusions of reforming me. " "I know you're utterly rotten, and I don't think I'll ever succeed in penitentising you." Aiden returned expressionlessly, "It just occurred to me that just having to keep an eye on someone as rotten as you for eight years is exhausting enough, and if I have to guard you for the rest of my life, I probably won't be able to resist the urge to just shoot you." Through his past experiences and his studies in criminal psychology, Aiden realised that Carmilla's violent tendencies didn't seem to be innate due to her bloodline, but rather stemmed from her past experiences. Having also grown up in a twisted environment, Carmilla was feared to be more twisted than Evantha in some way. Because of Merukino's oppressive control, Ivantha had developed a certain resistance to killing, and after coming into contact with prison life, she had become more inclined to a smooth life. But Carmela is the opposite, in that environment she used her natural violence to protect herself and seek survival advantage, the positive feedback of continuous profit from violence let her start to get pleasure from violence, and gradually become addicted to it. She had become a criminal out of her own will, and trying to correct such a prisoner was never an easy task. "Then why don't you, Jailer-sama, help me with that guy?" Carmilla's eyes rolled around bone-deep and she suddenly smiled thievishly. "Me?" Aiden frowned. "It's hard to be patient when I have to wait eight years to settle a score. If you, Lord Jailer, can help me avenge this, I can give you some favours oh ......" Carmilla said with a smile, suddenly slapping her thighs, "Ah, why don't we do it this way, you help me with that man!"
