"Are you okay?"
I looked up at Chase, surprised that he had already entered the room without me noticing it. I managed a faint smile. After everything that happened earlier, Chelsea chose to go home with their parents, while Chase stayed here at his condo to keep me company. After his bold declaration earlier, his father had stormed off in silence, followed by my own father. It seemed none of them could believe what he had said.
