"What?!" Amalecitae yells.
"That's not possible, she can't get pregnant. How did she get pregnant!" I cough,
"Uhm, well- there were lots of instances, it could have been in the bathroom at the airport- or even in the bedroom at the school, or when we got here-" She waves her arms in the air in frustration.
"Alannah told me the witch and her are the only ones who knew,"
"Why didn't you try and bring her back!" I look down at my hands, Alannah is carrying my baby inside her. She's doing it all alone too, she's in the hands of the enemies. She could get hurt, the baby could get hurt.
"You have no idea what she's getting herself into. That baby can feel her feelings, and if that baby feels like the mother is too weak- it will kill Alannah. My father will Kill that baby if he finds out because the two of you can overpower him- you've just created the vampires worst enemy."
I've been to careless, I knew that we couldn't get pregnant, but I am obviously wrong. I figured that two vampires can't make babies because the organs in our bodies don't function like normal anymore, especially being born true bloods.
"We're going to bring my daughter back- both of them back." I look up at Ama, I don't know if I can face Alannah. I've failed her, I've failed the baby inside that womb. I failed my lover, I failed my fiance, I failed everyone. I want to kiss Alannah, kiss her stomach, nurture her and her pregnancy-
*slap*
"Snap out of it Desmond! This isn't who you are! You are stronger than your parents combined! Stop being a f*****g looser!" Gabe yells. I felt the sting on my face, he was right- Alannah and that child isn't the problem, it's Jeremy.
"How do we get Alannah back?" Ama and Gabe smile, they grab me, dragging me down the stairs for the first time in weeks. I look at the tables and see a lot of firewood and even firewood daggers, I notice a red liquid in round glasses attached with flammable string.
"What is that?"
"Some of Alannah's matanica blood from last year, I kept it frozen for a just in case instance. This is that just in case instance." I laugh,
"we're really doing this?"
"We want to help," the Redhead says from behind me along with 150 other newbie vampires. I look Amalecitae in shock. 150 vampires, that is 126 more vampires than we had when we started this fallen vampire mission.
"okay." I stated. I grab one of the grenades filled with Alannah's Matanica blood.
"But we're not going to go in there guns blazing- you have no idea what your going to be up against. You will be trained for the best and worst scenarios for the next three days."
"Majika you're with me. Let's go"
Alannah
I had no idea, I just thought my human side was rejecting my vampire side, but Jeremy even said I was never human.
"Come on Alannah, we're heading out." The witch- Lauren- and I have become friends.
"Where are we going?" I was lied to from the get go, I was told I was going to get answers of who I am, and I was going to get information to bring back to Desmond- oh Desmond, I'm so sorry. He must hate me, He must think I've betrayed him and that I never really loved him, I'd do anything to get him back- but I don't want to hurt him. These last days I felt hate and aggression, to the point I've become a danger to myself and others. They've put me in a dark cold room, there are scratches on my skin that haven't healed- is this the baby in me growing stronger?
"We're heading to the woods, that's where the ceremony is going to be held."
"Ceremony?"
"That's right, Jeremy has turned the last vampire- the strongest one yet. Were going to start the ceremony- the one that will bring peace to supernaturals once again." I look out the barred window- just like my old dorm room. I want to go home, I hold my stomach.
"He still doesn't know, but you are going to tell him tonight; you have no idea how much that baby is going to mean to Jeremy." I get up quickly, the chains stopping me, that feeling has risen again. I start feeling a pain in my stomach and I know it's her trying to calm me down but it just get's me more angry.
"Enough Lauren." I see Jeremy approaching the room, he walks past her and to me, brushing my hair past my ear, I hate him. He manipulated me but these chains are keeping me from doing anything.
"We're leaving." He walks out the door and I'm tired from my anger.
They load me into a car with my hands bound, all I can think about is my baby and Desmond.
...**...
It's night time, the ceremony is going to be underway in just an hour and Desmond has no Idea. They've decided to unbound me and let me roam free, but if I try anything I'm sure they'll decapitate me on the spot. I place my hands on my stomach, I feel so nauseous, but it's probably because it's hungry. I'm not even sure what's going to happen during this ceremony, and I mean the steps. He needed me and I walked right into his wicked trap.
"Alannah" I heard his voice, I look in front of me and see a tall figure hiding in the shadows. I walk further in, when the shadow is gone- I sigh in sadness, hoping that he was here. I walk back towards the spot I was, at the perimeter of the woods, away from everyone else- so I don't hurt anyone. I am suddenly grabbed and pulled behind a tree, my back leaned up against the bark. I smile,
"Shh." Desmond says. I knew he was here, we could hear one of the guards running past us-how interesting they only sent one.
" let me take care of this." I tell him. I knew he didn't want me to, but this guard is assigned to me, he listens to me. I escape from Desmond grip and run behind the guard. He jumps and points the gun at me in fear,
"Lady Alannah it's you, you scared me." He sighs.
"I want you to go back out there, as if you saw nothing." He nods his head yes and walks away. I slowly walk over to Desmond, he outstretches his arms and I run into them, he fully embraces me.
"I thought you hated me, you looked so mad when I told you-" He places his hand on my stomach, the tiny bump showing.
"How did that witch know?"
"That Glowing crystal she had in her hand told her how many were going to go to the location- it said four. She then did a(n) ultrasound when we got to a secure place and showed that I was pregnant. But I told her not to tell Jeremy- I've seen it- he's going to kill our baby if I tell him." I could feel tears building up in my eyes. Desmond brings me in for another hug.
"Listen, I came here to get you-"
"I can't do that Desmond, you know that-" Desmond places his pointer finger on my lips and looks behind him,
"Majika, come out please." Majika comes out from a bush, my eyes opened wide and my mouth dropping to the floor.
"I cut her hair and dressed her in the dress I saw you in a few weeks ago- I had no Idea you were still wearing it. Majika has magic to alter other peoples sight, everyone- including that witch is going to see the same you, pregnant and all, but you won't be there." I look at Majika who looks like my identical twin, literally every mole and every detailed line is the exact same. I don't want her to get in trouble, or even killed, but I don't understand why were doing this.
"We're going to go to war, and we need you to teach the 150 vampires that we've acquired from Jeremy's turnings- we need you to train them and tell them what to expect- but we also need to keep you and the baby in you safe at all costs. We're family Alannah, and I can't let you and my little Godson get hurt." Majika smiles. I smile and the tears have finally left my eyes. Majika walks over to Desmond,
"You're still wearing the necklace right?" She asks. Desmond looks confused but nods, pulling out the chained ring,
"Never take this off, not until this is all over."
Desmond and I leave Majika, she disappears out of the woods as I leave with him, I'm too tired to run so I catch a ride on Desmond's back. I miss his scent and so does this baby.
