In her own League

My head was pounding to the same beat as my heart making me groan in pain . l cracked one eye open and realised that it was 4 o'clock, the exact time l should wake up before my stepfather entered the room screaming his lungs out . l rolled out of the bed slowly looking at the bathroom quietly debating if l should take a shower or not . Remembering that l had the whole day to make up for not bathing in that moment l made my to the kitchen and please don't judge because l do brush my teeth on special occasions and school days and besides l don't have a guy in my life right now to whatever . Whilst l was taking pain killers for my annoying headache a crushing sound jolted me awake . l debated if l should go upstairs and check but in this house it was normal ."l hate you Jake , how could you !," my oldest stepsister shouted as she chased her boyfriend of 8 months with a shoe . Letting out a sigh l gently leaned on the counter, a smile threatening to appear on my lips as l let the drama in front of me unfold. "Baby it was just a kiss and we were playing spin the bottle so how is it my fault?," he explained backing away to the door . l rolled my eyes softly now paying attention to my pan. Jake was a player everyone knew it and Reina just chose to ignore it. "Yeah but why did it have to be my sister!," she shouted back instantly making me choke on my spit and just on time Lean came downstairs.Sensing a fight l quickly went back upstairs. Jumping on my bed l silently prayed for this day to already be over but hey who says dreams always come true. My mom screamed my name calling me to come help her separate the two sisters. l stayed on the bed and looked at my suitcases juggling my choices. My step dad Ray had decided that at the age of 19 l was supposed to be able to get my own job and apartment whilst his own kids who mind you, are both above 23 are still living here. Finally standing up l went to take a shower to start my life as an adult alone. Later on as l pushed my two suitcases outside as l had decided not say goodbye to anyone my mom stopped me ,gently pulling on my shirt. "Sweetie won't you say goodbye ," she spoke almost as if she was whispering. l blinked my tears back and shook my head no ."You know he's the breadwinner there's nothing that l can do ,"she tried to justify but l slowly removed her death grip from my arm and walked out of that godforsaken house . Looking back l could not he back the tear that fell as l finally realised l was alone, jobless and at the same time homeless and l promised myself that one day they would beg for my forgiveness
