Chapter two : Trials Begun

"I'm scared.." Michael said. He was always scared of the dark house. When he was 12, Michael was dared by his twin sister (Michelle) to go into the basement. He walked into the basement but unluckily, it was where the dark ghouls of Allinton met up. Micheal was bullied by the weak demons and never dared himself to go back; he still gets nightmares. "Look, I brought the swords from the last journey," I said while taking them out. The swords had blue handles and a blueish light radiating out from them. Since the demons are immortal we can't fight them unless we use swords since they are made from a unique type of light. "I doubt they will help," Michael said nervously remembering them. A gust of wind followed by a dark figure went around the house and into the bedroom. "I think I saw him go into that room," I said to Michael. We walked upstairs into what was the bedroom. A pitch black room with destroyed beds and a mirror which wasn't damaged at all. It was like it was purposely put there. "He could be a demon, ' Michael said. "This is the room I saw him run into," I said pointing at the door. "He probably used the mirror as all demons do," Michael muttered. "How do you know he is a demon?" I asked. "With our experience with demons this person acts like one," Michael exclaimed "It's like he is trying to lure us here." Suddenly, the mirror in the dark house turned bright and blood red. It started to grow bigger and bigger in three seconds. It then stopped when it was the size of the room. "What is going on?" I asked. Michael could see the fear I felt in me. "Let's jump in," he said. "WHAT ARE YOU CRAZY?" I screamed. Michael looked at me confidently and jumped into the portal. I was utterly confused and upset at him. One second he was scared now he wasn't. We were transported into a room that had red walls and a black floor. There were no windows or doors. Ben was standing in front of us and we were trapped in chairs that had demon chains, chains that take away your sanity every time you try to escape, on our arms, legs and torso. Ben looked different: he had red skin with a horn, a suit, black wings and devilish green eyes. "THIS WAS A TRAP!" I shouted. Ben laughed an evil laugh. He revealed his hands, which were behind his back, that had sharp nails sharper than a knife and also had bits of blood on them. "I just want to ask a few questions about you! " Ben exclaimed. "We won't answer them," I muttered angrily. Ben squeezed his hands and I screamed in pain. He could use the chains to inject pain into our bodies. "Just answer them," Ben slowly said. He started to float mid-air. "NO!" Michael quickly shouted. Once again he squeezed his hands and this time Michael moaned in pain. "I'll just ask you this" Ben said " When I asked you to help me with an "adventure" you acted like you haven't been on one you aren't just "helpers"?" "Just tell him," I angrily muttered again "We are helpers," Michael said still feeling the pain from the chains. "We also kill demons to stop them from hurting kids." "Well, next question. Have you ever seen the Lord of creatures?" Ben asked. "Yes," I replied. We both still were in anger. "Well my job is to see if you are worthy to fight him again," Ben explained. "He has grown stronger and stronger." The chains disappeared and we grabbed the weapons that sat next to us and charged at him. Michael slashed his suit but it didn't damage him. I aimed for his head but he pushed me back and then did the same to Michael. "The first test is to find your way out, the room will be filled with water and once it reaches the top it will turn into bricks and suffocate you, your goal is to get out," Ben explained "Good luck." He disappeared. The wall then suddenly teleported a timer of 2:00 minutes. We started by attacking the floor. It didn't work. The water started to fill up. We tried the floor. Still didn't work. The water was already up to my torso. The timer was at 1:42 seconds. "Impossible," Michael mumbled. "Remember when we survived a room with boulders being thrown out at us? Surprisingly, you were able to throw them back," I said "I was shocked you were that strong!" "Yes, I do remember," He replied "How's that gonna help?" By now the water was up to my neck but then something wonderful happened. While I was looking around Michael got sick of the water so he tried slicing the bricks and they broke. He broke the room and we went through the room into the next one. It looked exactly like the other room. I slightly was confused. "Weird," I murmured "Maybe this one is different?" Michael asked "Maybe," I replied. We walked into the room but then our feet started to sink into the room. "Keep moving," I told Michael. He gave me a thumbs up.
