Chapter 1~The day it all began.
"Oh my God! Is that seriously what she told you?" My best friend Brittany exclaimed in astonishment. We were sitting in 4th period.Beloved math class, and yes that was total sarcasm. We were talking at our seats while waiting for everyone else to take theirs, and for the starting bell to ring. I had begun to tell her what happened between me and Justine in between class. we were in the restroom in the upstairs hallway. She had come in, in a slamming flash as if I was who she had been searching the entire school for. " Justine!? Are you alright? What's going on?"I questioned. She came right up to be and held my shoulders in a gentle embrace with her palms. " I just came from the office hall, and when I had stopped at the water fountain, I peaked into the glass wall and caught a glimpse of the new student being transferred to us, When I seen him I went into the office acting as if I needed to set an appointment to speak with my counselor. And as we waited for the assistant to bring us what we needed he looked dead at me and had said " Hey, I know this is gonna be a little weird but, isn't this you in this photo with Ivyorra?" as he pulled out a copy of last week's town newspaper, and it was the photo of me and you at last week's football game in our cheerleading uniforms!! I guess I made a concerned face while I replied, " Yeah actually, it is. How do you know Ivyorra?" because he smirked his reply. "Well to be honest, I don't know her just yet, but she is someone I just have to introduce myself to." And then he asked me if I could save a table for us all at lunch. And in a rush I told him I would!" She explained to me in exasperation. I wondered who this guy could be. " Well what did he look like Justine?" She stopped and thought for a minute. " He looks like he's built for the ROTC program! He could probably be a safety catcher for the squad?" I rolled my eyes at her. She isn't even on my cheerleading squad, but anytime she talks about it, her eyes light up with excitement but also resentment. "Alright, but did he seem like a jerk?" I questioned. She shook her head in confusion. "No, he seems like he's determined though. Were you expecting a good looking sophomore guy who looks like he is three years in college?!?" She asked snarky like. " Now why is that any of your business JJ?" I fired back as I started to head out to class.
I had just got finished explaining these events to Britt. "Yeah, as if it's any of her business who's looking for me and why." I replied. Britt nodded her head in agreement. But right as she went to say something, Mrs Huttvic came into the classroom as the bell rang. " ALRIGHT EVERYONE!" She hollered while clapping her hands louder than necessary. " It's time to settle in and quiet down. Now before we start the assignment for today, we have an unexpected addition to add into the class." she said with a smile, emphasizing the math puns she had made. Right then a tall guy with black hair down to his eyes and ears, and matching the exact description Justine had given me earlier, waltzed on in with an all serious like aura, as he walked to the seat over to the left side behind me. Brittany kicked the back of my chair, as if to warn me of how close he chose to sit near me. " Now young man, I need you to tell me what I need to address you as." Mrs Huttvic requested. He slowly let out breath and sat up to answer her. " My name is Micheal Alvarien Madam, but I go by Mike." he offered. " Well alright Mike, I hope your previous class kept up with the curriculum, for the end of the year exams are in 3 days." Mike waved his hand dismissively as if he were dismissing a personal servant gently. " Oh no worries Mrs H. I'm quite confident in my education. but I appreciate the concern." he said.
Mrs Huttvic nodded her head and went on to tell us what we were working on and I took out my supplies and got to work.
