The sun beamed down upon Kit’s face as she started to stir. Her eyes fluttered open as she slowly took in her surroundings and then the events of last night flooded her mind. She reached down to feel her broken ankle only to realize that it was no longer broken, in fact her whole body felt surprisingly good considering the events that unfolded last night. She looked up to see Aponi and Lina sleeping on the couch next to the window, still in their costumes from last night. Kit smiled to herself; it was so good to have friends who cared so much about her. As if Lina sensed someone staring at her she jolted upright and quickly took in her surroundings, scanning the room. Her eyes landed on Kit and she gave her a sleepy smile.
“She lives.” Lina said as she made her way over to Kit’s bed. Ap
