Raina nodded, shut her eyes, and mentally sighed, hoping she could just snap her fingers like a fairy and be in her classroom right now.
"You know elves can do that not just the fairies. If you want I can do that for you." Aurora said reading Raina's mind.
"Huh?
" teleportation magic. The elves can do that also" Aurora attempted to explain further.
"Oh! Please can you quit reading my thoughts each now and there. There's something call privacy. " Raina said
"Sure! My queen. " Aurora laughed.
"Pick up the pace. The food's is getting cold." Arcadia pull Raina and Aurora as they approached the dinning room.
Breakfast wasn't as awkward as yesterday's dinner since Raina already met everybody previously, they also didn't talk much because emperor Ephrin dead look made them concentrate on their food yet Accalia appeared to be a gnawed off.
In no time flat they were done and the emperor and Raina was outside waiting for Daniel to bring the car.
Raina moaned. "You don't really have to send me to school, I'm not fifteen."
"How old are you?" The emperor asked truly, the two dimples on his cheeks made him look more handsome.
"I'm 20" Raina said gladly, yet he just scoffed.
"You're as yet a kid."
"What? I'm… "
"The car is here" The emperor cut Raina off as Daniel halted the car before them.
The emperor reached forward and pulled the backseat entryway open and signaled Raina to enter. She glared at him, huffed and slide in and folded her arms on her chest, he also entered and put on his seatbelt.
"Your seatbelt" he told her.
Raina moved away from him and pretended she didn't hear him, so he leaned back in his seat and fastened her seatbelt, then said to Daniel, "Drive."
Daniel gestured and started the car.
PEANROSE, SCHOOL OF MAGIC AND HUMANS.
Peanrose, school of magic and humans is a school for both magical creatures and the people who couldn't transform or use their magic.
After a couple of moments drive, Daniel stopped a couple of meters from the school gates.
Raina made to alight, murmuring a thank you on the way however his next words made her fall back on her seat.
"I'll be waiting here until school closes"
"What?" Raina almost yelled.
Her eyes looked towards the window and saw a gathering of young ladies standing at a safe distance, snickering, hopping and checking their car out.
They're among the young ladies who was there for the mating ball ceremony.
"You can't stay here until school closes."
"Why?" he asked.
"Don't you have a meeting with the fairy queen. "
"I postponed the meeting." he said looking outside the window.
Daniel took a gander at them from the rearview reflect and Raina passed him a pleading hope to assist her with persuading the emperor to leave.
He smothered a laugh yet immediately cleared his throat.
"Your emperor, your schedule for today is tight and there are a ton of things to be taken care of at the castle. The most important is your meeting with the Fairy queen and with the elf lord" he said.
The emperor grasped his jaw however didn't argue further, he relaxed on his seat and shut his eyes.
"you can go now." He said to Raina.
Raina gestured and passed Daniel a thankful grin, and without wasting anymore time, she pushed the entryway open and leaped out.
"See you later" she yelled and ran towards the school gate, not in any event, trying to think back to make sure he's gone.
"Who might have felt that a weak human could be mated to the emperor.
"The moon goddess must be sleeping when she paired that weak human to the emperor."
"Yeah, Raina is so fortunate to be his mate… he's so handsome
"A weak human is now the queen of all supernatural creatures
"Does that means she's presently our queen?"
Raina sneered happily as she walked by, hearing the whispers, but she froozed right on the spot when she saw the last person she expected sitting close to her desk in the classroom.
Raina walked quietly to her desk, ignoring Jared's persistent glances.
"Hello," Jared softly uttered, attempting to catch her attention, yet Raina chose to disregard him and settled calmly in her seat.
Just as Jared was about to stand up to greet Raina, the teacher entered the classroom.
Although the teacher's dulcet tones filled the vast room as she continued her instructive speech, Jared's attention was elsewhere, completely detached from the lesson.
As Jared's attention was drawn to Raina, captivated by her poised hand resting elegantly on the table, the teacher's voice faded into tiny air.
"Alright then, that concludes our class for today. I look forward to seeing all of you tomorrow."
With the class dismissed, Raina swiftly packed her books, making a conscious effort to avoid any interaction with Jared.
Plugging in her earphones, Raina descended the steps with nimbleness, skillfully maneuvering amongst her fellow students to prevent any accidental collisions, until she finally emerged from the grand double doors.
"Raina!"
Chloe and Evan called out, reaching out and comfortingly patting her on the shoulder.
"Hey there!"
Raina grumbled discontentedly as she scooped a generous amount of Ice-cream from Chloe's hand into her mouth, and let out a blissful moan of delight.
"What's the matter? We've been trying to get your attention, but you weren't responding," Evan inquired.
Raina's eagerness to respond quickly was dashed when she noticed the all-too-familiar face of her ex-boyfriend, Jared.
His intense gaze swept across the crowd, abruptly locking with Raina's, causing his face to twist into a sneer as he made his way aggressively towards them, releasing a series of furious snarls.
"Seriously?!" Raina muttered in disappointment.
Raina's stomach churned as Jared approached with scary intent.
Evan and Chloe recognized their friend's distress right away.
"Raina?" they called, their concern clear in their voices.
Chloe's attention was drawn to the approaching sound of echoing footsteps before Raina could respond.
She quickly turned, her brow arched, to assess the source of the commotion.
Her expression quickly changed to one of wrath as she moved out of the way and positioned herself protectively in front of Raina, her gaze fixed on Jared.
Chloe's eyes nearly bulged out of her sockets as she twisted her face into a menacing sneer, arms defiantly folded in front of her, intently observing the young Alpha who had stopped just centimeters away.
In an attempt to intimidate her, Jared pushed his face against hers, their noses almost touching.
Raina couldn't help but laugh, knowing that intimidation only heightened Chloe's excitement, as she took great pleasure in humiliating others.
"Get the hell out of my way, Chloe," he menacingly snarled, their faces almost touching.
Evan snorted and extended his arm, shoving Jared back and causing him to stumble a few steps. He ran his long nails across Jared's face casually.
"Take another step, and you'll regret it," he said casually, inspecting his nails and smirking.
Jared stepped forward, his fists clenched, growling angrily.
"I'm sorry, you damn red one, I don't have time for you. Move!" he screamed.
Chloe twisted her face into a mock horror expression, comically clutching her chest.
"Oh no! Oh, my poor heart! Will I be able to recover?" She gave a sardonic smile and a loud tut.
"Someone need to teach you some manners, you wimp of a boy. You first cheated on your girlfriend, and now you're insulting Evan. If I were you, I'd watch my back because the red ones found joy in eating their enemies, and Evan is partially a red one."
Chloe warned sweetly, a smile playing across her lips.
