We arrived the Nightshade Nook Pack and was welcomed by the Gamma of the pack. He was young but rather experienced I could say from his aura and scent, he came to us with a friendly smile and directed us to a nine story building hotel where we would be staying for the time being.
"The main party would start by twilight, so you would each be staying here for the time being until you find your mate at the party." He said to us as he led us into the hotel. "This hotel is wolf proof, so your mate won't be able to find you so rest assured nothing absurd happens till after the party."
"But what if we don't find our mate now?" A girl putting on a black leggings and green sweat shirt asked.
"The condition where you don't find your mate, it could be due to either of these reasons.
1. He's not here presently so you might find him by coincidence when you come again or probably stay longer.
2. There was a mistake in your region mate finding ceremony.
3. He could be dead or has totally disappeared for good.
Does that satisfy you?" He asked.
The girl nodded her head as a response and he returned back to the main ordeal. "Please choose a room card, the hotel staff would then direct you to your room" he said and then bid us goodbye before leaving.
Layla picked her card first and she happened to be in room 10 which wasn't quite far from this floor.
"I'll leave first, don't forget to call when leaving for the party" she said to me before calling on a staff to direct her to her room.
After she left, I then picked a room card which was placed on the table with the room password boldly printed on the card. ' 'Room 31' I soliloquized as i saw my room number.
"What room number did you get" a cheerful looking girl on a navy blue trench coat which she buttoned and made look like a gown with her brown hair done in a bun said to me.
I looked beside me and she was taking a glimpse at my room card which was in my hands. "Thirty one" I said to her and shifted three inch away to avoid her thinking of leaning on me and also mistakenly falling.
"Really ! then we're very close neighbors, though for only today I must say" she said almost hallowing with much excitement.
I looked rather surprised from her tone of excitement, "what's your room number?" I asked her.
"Room thirty two" she answered me showing me her room card which had the number thirty two boldly written on it.
"Ohh ok, nice meeting you" I said to her in more relaxed tone.
"Same. My name's Leah by the way" she said extending her hand for a handshake which I corresponded well to.
"I'll ask the staff to direct us to our rooms" I said as I then walked to one of the staff. "Good morning, Room 31." I said to her and she immediately understood the action.
"Ok, follow me" she replied me and came out.
"Let's go" I signaled Leah and she followed suit.
The girl led us into the elevator and into the fourth floor. We walked for some feets before getting to room thirty one and thirty two which were opposite each other.
"These are your rooms" the staff said to us and left.
I entered my room first after entering the pin.
The space had a bedroom and also a good restroom which had a well designed toilet.
I unpacked my luggage and arranged my clothes in the wardrobe. I went to the bathroom to have a quick bath and after I was done I sat on the sofa in the living room.
I logged into the Silver Summit Broadcasting Website account to check on any new updates about the affairs of the pack. The first headline I saw was quite of an explosive bullet which read "Mate Gone Wrong: Alpha Of The Pack Arrives At His Destined Mate's Home Only To Discover She Had Dumped Him For Another". I almost spat out blood when I saw the name of the author boldly written beneath.
Mila was an elder sister to Dexter and a journalist working under the packs broadcasting institution, I wouldn't inquire much of the family's love and unity relationship so I wouldn't know how they got along for her to go as far as using his disgusting situation to her advantage.
I clicked on the story and it talked more of how Dexter had gone to my family's building and other sorts of s**t stories. I scrolled over not wanting to listen to the blabbing story but to the comment section which always had more action than the main story.
(She really didn't want to meet him, guess she must had have some conflicts with the handsome upcoming Alpha) A person commented.
(That's not quite understandable, I was quite close to the female and I never saw her showing any signs of love, they barely even met with each other not to talk of dating and having fights) another person replied.
(Roses are red, violets are blue, I couldn't find any more interesting gossip, to chill my day) Another person commented and I chuckled.
(That's stupidity, how could she have the guts to reject the Alpha of her home pack as her mate. I'm sure she lacks home culture and is a very big betrayal to the silver summit pack) A person with an id 'Pink Cat' posted in the comments.
I recognized the profile as Isla's, seems like she really couldn't control her jealousy. (Stupidity you say but what does pack betrayal has to do with who one likes, it's obvious she doesn't like him. Probably you do) however I replied her anonymously.
(Every lady has interest in being the mate of an Alpha, a Luna is a pride of a female wolf.) she replied.
(Fools have interest in shouldering a block they can't see nor hold) I replied her again knowing fully well that she wouldn't have the courage to curse back which amounted as a result of her maintaining her social image. Taking good advantage of this leverage seemed to work well for a startup revenge.
(I wouldn't say that if I were you though, the Alpha is not someone to joke around with, why don't you take off your mask and show your face if you had the guts.) she replied me with a taunting emoji.
(The coast is clear so I would prefer much better to be in the shadows just like you. Does your sister know you're stabbing her in the back right now) I sent my cold response.
(That's right, you're both sisters, wouldn't it be betrayal what you're doing right now) Someone else wrote.
(Family feud is what rises to pack feud though) Another person commented.
(No offense, but now that I remember, I really saw Dexter and the younger daughter of the Beta of the pack in a restaurant, the restaurant's called 'Les Amoureux'. French I'm sure it is) another person commented.
I smiled to myself and kept my phone aside knowing the tables were now overturned, for everyone knew how furious netizens could be.
Knock knock I heard on the door. I was still on my bathrobe but I went anyway knowing it was going to be no other than one off the staffs in the hotel.
"Good afternoon madam" the young girl greeted with that shy expression.
"Hi" I answered her in the most pleasant tone I could muster to ease her nervousness.
"I came by to inform you that the party would be starting by 6:30 pm this evening and the location is just some few feet away from the hotel, a walk of five minutes in would say" she said to me trying not to rush her words.
"Got it" I replied reassuring her.
"Also you can come downstairs or rather use the telephone to call onto our aid on any issue which may include your desire for a snack or meal" she said continuing her speech again.
"Ok" I said nodding my head affirmatively.
"Ok, I would take my leave now" she said to me before leaving.
I closed the door shut and went into my room to pick a dress to avoid the stress of choosing one lately.
