Prologue: Battle Among the Stars
I lie between the borders of dreams and reality, blankets and quilts twisted around my limbs like thorns around their roses. A beast far more feral than that of children's nightmares slammed its fists down on an iron like round table, the helmet that covered what I could only assume to be his beast like face, did not stop it's anger from showing,a booming yet toe curling voice spoke in a language I have never heard before, rapidly shouting in that low voice, those who sat around the table- along with the room- seemed far more frightened by what it was saying than its voice, none were human, at least from what I could make out from their bodies. A loud bang broke their frightened trance, the alien beast pointed its slender fingers- which surprisingly didn't look like animal claws, but instead human fingers meant to play the piano- towards the door roaring something that instantly sent them scrambling away, the feral creature stomped out of the room and towards a huge hole, which might have been where the explosion had resounded from. It held up its arm,the watch- much more advanced than any other- lit up and a purple like barrier sealed the wreckage off. It twirled around with astounding grace and fluid-ness, it entered a tightly packed room, big enough for two of the aliens sizes. Monitors flashed and blurred to life as it flicked switches and played with buttons, its movements horrifyingly swift. A door slid to block off the creatures exit and entrance,it removed its helm, revealing that its beast like body was but armor. HE was handsome, raven hair stuck close to his face, yet he still spoke in that foreign language, he is no human - with his pointed ears and snowy skin, those sharp amber eyes of his glowing with menacing anger. He removed his armor to reveal a uniform of neon scarlet, gold and black. He disembarked from the safety of his ship and flew dangerously fast, out in the openness of space, a battalion stood at the ready, these ships different from the one he just came from, yet they seemed to belong to him. It was the other ships that surrounded the black and red ones that sent my heart spiraling downwards. Five ships in total, each one bigger than any in the battalion by at the very least 50. The man-alien- scowled having realized this as well, he dished out more shouts, the ship he just disembarked from flickering away. Suddenly the image changed to a half destroyed ship falling towards earth, briefly flashing the picture of the alien man with his armor and helm on just as he broke through the atmosphere and passed by the Eiffel Tower, crashing in-between France and Britain's sea. But still far from land, the man rapidly hit a button to his left while pulling various switches. He was thrown out of his ship, braking through the water he sailed through the air and landed closer to land than I had thought possible considering the size-able distance between the sore-lines of land and his ship. He looked like he had first appeared to be at the start of this, which means whoever finds him will instantly know that he isn't from Earth. The image changed to show myself, snow white hair tinted black in some places, wearing my lab coat as I entered a high profile lab, the man laid on a dissection table, its helm, luckily still attached, otherwise I'm sure they would have realized that he was alive. I closed the distance with surprising confidence, moving my body to shield the aliens still form, curling my fingers slightly,I tapped his gently helm. Whispering loud enough for only myself and it to hear.
"If you are to act,I suggest you do so now. You will not get another opportunity like this one if you continue to heal from your injuries."I say, the alien surprisingly reacted. Twisting until he stood, he twirled me around holding a gun like object to my head, I had no time to see where he pulled it from nor to gasp as he leaned forward slightly. Speaking in his language, I made a face.
"Sorry, didn't quite catch you, repeat in English please."I said with such sarcasm that it was practically audible. The alien didn't respond, not until the lab was swarmed with guards. It still spoke in its language, but a second later it was translated in to English.
"Where is my ship?"
"Not here, at least not in this country. They haven't found it yet."I answer without hesitation, mentally I patted my future self's back for her courage. Sure its me standing there, but I can't possibly school my expression like she has....especially since my grey eyes always tell the truth, luckily no-one has figured out how to read me yet, because then I'm sure I would be the one on the dissection table instead of an armor glad alien. The alien seems to loll over my words before it shot one of the soldiers who got to close with frightening precision.
"Take me there, fail to do so and it will be you next."It whispered in to my ear. I nodded and raised my hands. Taking a tentative step forward, like a rippling tide the soldiers made way. I lead him through the hallways and out to my car,a bullet proof SUV that my parents had bought me before they had passed away. A loud shout caught my attention, Sulvi a co-worker who was overly friendly towards me rushed forward. I put my hand in front of the barrel of the plasma gum.
"STAY THERE!"I shout glaring the young apprentice down, though I do not like her,I'd never wish for her to die. She froze at my hard stare. The alien ushered me silently in to my own car its gun still pointed towards me.
"CHARLOTTE!"I heard her scream as the car was pelted by thousands of bullets. I sat up in bed my eyes wide with horror.
"Just f*****g great,my dreams want me to save a damn alien."I grumble.
