No matter how he wished to delay it, the inevitable would happen. Jude knew they weren’t that far from Rex’s family in El Paso. They probably could have even made it last night if they had pushed through. He had a feeling Rex wanted to make the trip as fun and relaxing for him as possible for him. Which made him adore Rex even more. He only hoped Rex’s family liked him.
“Just a few blocks away now,” Rex said casually. He kept stealing glances at Jude, which made Jude a bit paranoid, really.
He guessed he couldn’t blame Rex. His behavior had been erratic. “Excellent.”
