Mate This Isn't The End

Episode # 9

Episode # 9:-

Asher was the one who took Skylar for shopping, as she said to him, that she wants to go with him. Asher told all the girls that he wants to spend some time with his mate or according to Skylar, girlfriend, so he will take her with him. Nobody said them anything as they know that Asher wants to spend some time with his mate.

(Asher waited for so long, for his mate. He even thought that he will never get any mate. Nobody knows about this thing except his dad, who always comforted him, that he will surely get a mate.)

Both came to one mall, Skylar was wearing Julia’s clothes as she doesn’t have her clothes. So Asher said first they would shop for her clothes.

While entering the mall, Asher felt some powerful aura, the same which any Alpha reflects. He looked around him, but he didn’t find anyone. He had a feeling that someone was there near them. He tried to look around again but could not find any person suspicious.

He becomes confused because, one, that feeling/ aura is not giving any negative vibe. And second, what the other Alpha was doing in his territory? Why he came in his region without getting his permission? (In the world of werewolves, it’s a big crime to invade in another pack without asking the permission of its Alpha. Usually, Rogue wolves are the only one who enters the Packs, with the intention of something wrong, or sometimes they invade when they need some help.) (Rogues are werewolves that ran away from their pack to live on their own in the wild. Or rogues ran because they dislike their Alpha or pack.)  

He was going to think further when he felt Skylar tugging his sleeve he turns towards her who was giving him a questioning look and a frown on her face.

“Where you lost Asher? I’m calling you from the last 5 minutes,” Skylar asked him who in return just said, “nothing, just thinking about some stuff. Don’t worry, let’s go” and took her towards one direction. The moment they went from there, Adrian came out from behind the one pillar. He knew it very well that he can’t hide his aura from Asher, because it’s not possible to hide your smell from an elemental wolf.

(Adrian was hiding his smell, but as Asher was an elemental wolf, that’s why he could smell werewolf around him even though if they can hide their scent.)  

“Sorry Asher, but I can’t come in front of you till Skylar’s birthday, just wait for a few weeks more, I promise I’ll come in front of you both and will tell everything,” Adrian said in a whisper and left from there. Asher while walking turns around and found one well-built boy was walking while facing his back towards him. Asher could only see his back and a black jacket, which he was wearing.

Asher came to know that he was the same person who was having the power radiating aura. 

“Who is he?” Asher thought while staring Adrian’s retreating figure, but for a time he shrugged all the thoughts and got busy in shopping with Skylar.

(Asher wanted to go behind him, but as Skylar was with him, that’s why he dropped the idea. As he knew that if this man came here with any wrong intentions, then also he will tackle the whole situation.)  

All the time during shopping Skylar kept bugging that he is spending too much on her, and Asher kept saying, that it’s nothing. But when she didn’t stop, then finally Asher had to give her a death glare. After getting death glare from Asher, she kept quiet but kept frowning or sometimes made a pout on everything which Asher bought for her. Asher was seeing her expressions from the corner of his eyes.

He found her expressions cute and got a smile on his face. But he immediately hides that because he doesn’t want to show her that he will listen to whatever non-sense she will say. He knew that she was worried about his money. She was thinking that he was spending too much on her and making a dent on his bank account.

But she had no idea that her mate could purchase an entire world for her, and here she was depressing herself by thinking all the non-sense things.

 “Asher, I’m hungry,” Asher who was buying clothes for Skylar heard her and realized that it’s over 3 hours when they came to the mall. “Oo…, sorry…, I forgot, come let’s go to the food court,” Asher said and while holding her hand, he came towards the food court.

Skylar all the way gazing around, she saw one shop, and there she liked one T-shirt for Asher. But, she becomes sad because she didn’t have any money with her, and she doesn’t want to purchase anything for Asher from his money.

“What you want to eat?” Asher asked on which she said, “Pizza.” Asher after hearing this went towards the food counter. Skylar was sitting on the table kept at the corner. She was sulking while sitting on her seat, for not being able to purchase anything for Asher. 

Skylar, who was sad, because of not having money, touched her ear unconsciously. Suddenly she realized that she purchased those earrings two months back, and they were expensive. She bought those earrings after saving money for over 15 months.

She looks towards Asher’s direction, who was standing in a long queue. She thought for a while and immediately went towards the shop, but before going she made it sure that it will take time to Asher to come back. 

She was not sure, but then also, she thought to try her luck. She asked the shopkeeper that can he give her the T-shirt for her earrings. The shopkeeper who was an aged man and luckily was the owner of that shop.

He looks towards her keenly and smiles a little after seeing her innocent face. He asked her to show him her earrings, Skylar happily showed him. Shopkeeper asked her, that she can purchase 3 to 4 T-shirts for these earrings or if she wants, she can buy one T-shirt and take the remaining money.

“No, I’ll purchase the T-shirts,” Skylar said happily and went towards the T-shirt section. She selected T-shirts for Asher and went towards the billing counter. The man gave her a warm smile and packed the T-shirts in a shopping bag.

“Thank You,” Skylar said and went out. She was feeling out of the world because she could purchase the first gift for Asher with her own hard work money. The moment she came out of the shop, she felt a sudden pull, and next moment she found herself caged in a tight embrace.

“Thank God, you are safe. I thought something happened to you,” she heard Asher’s voice. She felt him shivering a little; she put her hand on his back and rubbed a little.

“I’m sorry,” she said in a meek voice, on which Asher came in his senses and broke the hug.

“Ju..st.., Never do this every again, if you want to go somewhere, just inform me,” Asher said and while holding her hand walked towards the food court.

Skylar felt bad she never thought that Asher would behave like this. However, she had no idea that being his mate; she had such importance in his life which nobody can ever snatch from him.

They came towards their table and sat down. Skylar saw that Asher was quiet than usual, she always saw him talking non-stop especially in front of her. She felt bad, and a pang of guilt rose in her heart.

“I’m sorry Asher, I promise, I’ll never do this ever again, it’s just I wanted to buy something for you. And I thought, I’ll be back till you’ll be free, I’m sorry,” Skylar said in a low tone. Asher, who heard this, took a deep breath and kept his hand on hers.

“I can’t lose you, Skylar, when a few days back only I’ve got you in my life, you are very important for me, and when I didn’t see you here on the table, I just panicked,” Asher said while Skylar was having tears in her eyes after hearing his words.

She always heard cursed words from her adopted parent’s mouth, and when she heard Asher’s words, she felt overwhelmed.

Asher, who saw her state, immediately came on the chair beside her and took her in his embrace.

“Thank you for coming in my life, Asher, thank you so much” Skylar mumbled against his chest on which Asher just kissed above her head.

After having their lunch, both again started their shopping. Skylar told him to stop, but as usual, Asher didn’t pay any heed. Skylar while sulking as a child followed him everywhere.

After spending over 6 hours in the mall, both came to the parking lot. Asher was walking in front of her while Skylar was walking while looking around her surrounding randomly. On the way towards Asher, someone banged into Skylar.

Skylar’s shopping bag fell from her hands. The person who banged into her, helped her in picking her bags and went from there while saying, “sorry.” Skylar turns her face to thank that person. But he already went from there.

She shrugged her shoulders and went behind Asher, who was already waiting for her near his car. She came, and both went from there, they reached pack-house and directly went towards their room as they were hell tired.

Skylar fell on the bed while spreading her hands wide like a starfish; Asher chuckled a little after seeing her. As he being a werewolf was fine as compared to Skylar, because till the time she will not shift, she will be a human only.
