Chapter 1 The Unexpected I'm Mel Wills Nd I'm seventeen. my little life was perfect until my ex boyfriend, Ben became my stepbrother.my dad died of cervical cancer when I was thirteen and my mum decided to get married to Ben's dad on seventeenth birthday.before my mum got married to Mr. Hart, Ben's dad. Ben and I were in relationship and I loved him so much until I found out that he was seeing his neighbour Jessica. I've always wished to spend forever with Ben but sometimes the universe gives you what you want in unexpected ways and I guess this is how I get mine. It still feels kinda weird to have him around as my stepbrother and not my boyfriend. My mum and Mr. Hart had no clue that I and Ben used to be together I guess if they did they wouldn't be married by now. my life was so sweet and comfortable with Ben as my boyfriend Nd I've never dreamt of him being my stepbrother not even once but everything just happened in a twinkle of an eye. Chapter 2 Ex to step The day my mum told me she was getting married to Mr Hart I thought I was dreaming I had mixed feelings I was happy I would always have around I was also sad that I would never have the chance to spend the rest of my life with him as my soulmate. Mrs Wills: Mel, I need to tell you something Mel: Yes? Mrs Wills: I'm getting married on you seventeenth birthday Mel: Mum! Mrs Wills: Melody I know but I have to, It's very difficult for me as a single mum Mel: I can't believe you're getting married, I can't have a step dad and pretend I don't know what happened to my real dad Mrs Wills: Mel I love you and love your dad too but I need to be loved, i need support I...I... Mrs Wills: It's Mr Hart She showed me a picture of Mr Hart and Ben Mrs Wills: oh! this is Ben, his son, he's so handsome and he's just two months older than you are OMG I thought I was hallucinating when I saw Ben I couldn't believe my eyes, I can't believe he's going to be my step brother on my seventeenth birthday. I started laughing In a weird way, my mum thought I was happy but I was not. I was laughing because I was nervous and furious at the same time Mrs Wills: Mel, We've agreed to meet at the park on Saturday, do you have any plans? Mel : No Mum Saturday Is just fine. Mrs Wills: I love you Mel Mel: I love you too mum. Chapter 3 Wills to Hart I was up all night thinking of how miserable my life would be if Ben becomes my stepbrother. I still love him and I was hoping I could have him back but now I can't . God, I can't believe this is happening to me, I can't have a happy ending with my prince charming like Disney princesses. on Saturday, I woke up very early in the morning, I kept thinking of meeting Ben I also wanted to know how he feels about me being his stepsister. Mrs Wills: good morning Mel Mel: good morning mum Mrs Wills: are you excited to meet Mr Hart and Ben today? Mel: umm.. yeah Mrs Wills: well Ben is a really great guy I'm sure you would love him Mel: yeah..... I hope so At that moment I regretted not telling my mum I was seeing Ben when I was sixteen cause if I did this might not be happening my life is about to be a mess. oh God. On our way to the park was so nervous, my confidence was no where to be found I almost thought I would faint and I couldn't breathe properly. my heart almost came out of my chest. Finally we got to the park and I could see Ben and his dad standing six feets away from my mum's car, when I first saw him my heart skipped for a moment. Mrs Wills: we are here, oh that's Mr Hart and his son. Mel, please be very polite okay? Mel: okay mum Mr Hart: hello ladies, you must be the wonderful melody, your mum told me a lot about you Mel: hello Mr Hart nice to meet you Mr Hart : nice to meet you too. oh this is my son, Ben. Ben looked so surprised to see me. he wasn't expecting his stepsister to be me, his ex . Mel : Hi Ben nice to meet you Ben : hi Mrs Wills: how about you both take a walk around the park while we talk Mr Hart: yeah that's a very good idea. Ben and I took a long walk round the park without saying a word and I kept sweating and shaking, I wanted that moment to end but it felt like it won't. at last Ben broke the long silence. Ben: so... how have you been, mel Mel : umm.... good I guess Ben : I can't believe our parents are getting married and you're going to be my step sister Mel: yeah Ben : God, I'm stuck with you and I'm sure you love it Mel: Really? I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you but not as you stepsister and I don't think it's a good idea that our parents are getting married Ben: seriously? wait till my dad hears about it Mel: Ben you can't ruin their relationship because of what happened to us in the past
