Prolouge : The moon cast its silvery glance over the rolling hills and the vast expense of the estate, illuminating the intricate paths and manicured lawns that seems to stretch on forever. The air was alive with the sweet scent of blooming flowers and the soft chirpings of crickets, creating a sense of peace and tranquility that was hard to find in the chaos of every day life. It was on this very estate, surrounded by the beauty and wonder of nature, that Lucia's story began. A story of love, loss and self discovery that would take her on a journey she never could have imagined. As a child, Lucia had always felt a deep connection to the estate. She spent countless hours exploring its secrets, from the hidden gardens and secret passages to the ancient trees and whispering streams. It was a place where she truly felt alive, where her imagination could run wild and her heart could soar. But as she grew older, Lucia began to realize that the estate held more than just happy memories for her. It was also a place of sorrow and heartache, a reminder of the tragedy that had befallen her family when she was just a little girl. Her parents had died in a tragic accident when she was only eight years old, the pain and grief of that loss had stayed with her ever since, shaping her into the person she was today. Despite the pain of her past, Lucia had grown into a strong and determined woman. She had a fire in her soul and a heart full of love, and she was determined to make the most of the life she had been given. As she stood on the estate looking at the moonlight landscape, Lucia felt a sense of restlessness surge within her. It was as if she was being called to something more, something greater than her. And then, without warning, she saw him. A tall, dark-haired stranger standing at the edge of the trees, looking out over the trees with an air of quiet contemplation. Lucia's heart skipped a beat as their eyes met, and for a moment, time seemed to stand still. It was like the entire world had come to a halt, leaving only the two of them, suspended in the silence of the night. And in that moment Lucia knew that her life was about to change forever. As he stood at the edge of the trees, the stranger's eyes were fixed on the figure of Lucia, her beauty illuminated by the soft moonlight. His gaze was intense, yet gentle, as if he was trying to absorb every detail of her prescence. Within his mind, a maelstrom of emotions swirled. He had been drawn to this place, compelled by a force he couldn't quite explain. The estate, with its sprawling gardens and majestic manor, held secrets and mysteries that only whispered themselves to him in the darkness. As he watched Lucia, he felt an inexplicable kind of connection, as if the very fabric of fate had intertwined their lives. His thoughts were a jumble of curiosity and caution, wondering who this enchanting creature was, and what had brought her to this forsaken place. The stranger's past was marked with shadows and silence. He had walked a path of solitude, his footsteps echoing through the empty corridors of his own heart. Yet, as he gazed at Lucia, he felt the ice that encased his soul begin to thaw, ever so slightly. A flicker of surprise danced across his face as he noticed that Lucia was seemed to sense his presence. Her eyes narrowed, her gaze through the darkness, as if searching for something- someone. The stranger's breath caught in his throat as their eyes met, the connection between them sparking like a fire that didn't want to be extinguished. As the stranger stood at the edge of the trees his eyes remained fixed on Lucia, her beauty was illuminated by the soft moonlight. Memories of laughter and warmth, now tauntingly out of reach, echoes through his thoughts. "I once knew the joy of loving and being loved", he reflected his heart heavy with the weight of loss. "I lost my family and with them my sense of purpose". Life had taken a drastically different turn from then. "Now I'm rich and lonely", he thought, the word tasting bitter on his lips. "Wealth and power, once thrilling, is now hollow and unfulfilling", the stranger's eyes narrowed, his gaze burning with a deep seated longing. "But then in this moment, gazing at her I feel something stir within me - a spark of hope, a glimmer of connection". As their eyes met, the stranger felt an inexplicable jolt, like a spark of electricity arced through his entire being. He couldn't help but be drawn to Lucia's ethereal beauty, her porcelain skin glowing in the moonlight. Her eyes like sapphires shinning bright, seemed to hold a deep sadness, a melancholy that resonated within his own chest. He felt an overwhelming urge to know more, to unravel the mysteries behind her haunting gaze. And yet, he stood there transfixed by Lucia's prescence, the stranger felt a flicker of unease. Who is this stranger? What is his connection with Lucia? What's this unspoken connection between them? Find out in the book

CHAPTER ONE :ECHOES OF THE PAST
"So how has your experience of being lonely affected you?" I ask my patient. Hi everyone, my name is Lucia Blackwood and I am 21 years old. I am a psychological therapist. Isn't it crazy? Well for me, it's crazy. Because once a psycho is now a psychological therapist treating psycho's. Wow!! I'm amazing. I'm an orphan and a lonely lady maybe for a while. I was born into a family of three; Me, my mom and dad. We were a happy family. My dad was a clerk at a company I do not think still exists, my mom was a banker but decided to stop her job to take care of me, so that was how my mom became a house wife. Despite the debts and problems we faced at that time, my parents made sure I did not starve, they made my childhood fun and made sure I was happy. They taught me to be content, to have self control and self confidence and yes, self respect. They taught me a lot of good habits, morals and values. I once met a friend at least at that time we were strangers, he looked troubled and he was hurt all over and seems like he was being beaten up but finally escaped. I kept on contemplating on what to do until I saw people with different kinds of ammunition chasing the boy. I decided to help him so I told him to hide behind the trash can at my back. When the men drew nearer, I started screaming. "Hey, come back here. You just hurt me and you're running away, rude brat " I screamed looking at the dark alley leading to the woods. " Hello, sweet girl, uncle will give you this candy if you give me the information I want to ask you for, will you? " One of the men said waving a candy at me. " Okay uncle, what do you want to know?"I said looking at him. "Did you see this little boy? " he asked showing me the picture of the boy who I just met. " Why are you looking for him? " I asked " His my nephew, why are you asking? "He answered with a suspicious face, well good for me I had a very good acting skills. " I'm just asking so that you don't spare him. Uncle, if you see him, teach him a very good lesson, he made me almost break my ankle and he left without saying sorry. " I answered suspecting them because if according to them, saying that they are his uncles, the boy wouldn't be running from them and they won't be holding those kind of weapons just to look for their nephew. " OK, but can you tell me where he went to so I can I teach him a lesson on your behalf "he answered smiling slyly. " Ohh yes, he went that way "I say pointing at the dark alley leading to the woods. " OK, thank you " he says and attempting to walk away. " Uncle, my candy " I say stretching my hands. " Oh, about that, here "he said and gave me the candy. I can swear that I heard him saying that the boy is already in for the death game. I run back and take the weak boy to my little garden and my playhouse and kept him in there. I gave him food and water and cleaned his wounds after he bathed. The next morning I decided to check on him. I go to the play house and saw him sleeping there. I woke him up and after eating and freshening up, I ask him about those men who were chasing him and his started crying. I wipe his tears while he tells me that those men came to his house and killed his parents and burned down their house and now he does not have any idea of where his brother ran to but he still has hope that his brother is alive. He asks me if he can stay in my playhouse, I agree with a condition. "If you want to stay here, you are not expected to come out and you shouldn't allow anyone to see you, OK?" I asked "Deal" he said and we shaked our hands. From that moment till what seemed like forever, we were together and suddenly I began having feelings for him. But Mummy said that one should only love someone you know but I like him. I even stole a kiss while he was asleep some nights ago. I find him so handsome and cute. When I found out that I like him, I decided to distance myself from him since my parents won't agree to our friendship in the first place. "Hey here is your food " I tell him handing the food to him with a cold food. " thanks, won't you join me? "he asked with a cute and Innocent smile. A smile I always found hard to resist but I had to double guard so I turned my back on him. " no, stop talking and eat "I commanded " Did I do anything wrong? are mad at me? " he asked with a lace of hurt in his voice. I nearly broke down but I had to be strong. " Just eat and stop questioning me "I said and walked out of the play house and go to the side to watch him eat. Surprisingly, he did not touch the food, instead he shoved it aside. I come back in with anger dripping in my step. Why would he starve? Does he think I poisoned him?. " Hey, why did you not eat the food? " I ask with my anger laced voice. " I wa.... " he said but I cut him off, what does he want to say? He wants to decieve me right? Does he think I'm a fool? Of course I am a fool for loving him when he doesn't trust me and I don't even know him. " you what? You thought I promised you right? So you don't trust me right? I thought we were friends? "I rant not letting him talk. I kept talking that I did not know when he stood up and walked up to me. I only noticed when he kissed me, I stood there shocked. He pulled out almost immediately, and started saying things that shocked me. " You were watching me right? " he said smiling. " No, I was not " I tried to lie. " Oh yes, you were, if not so how did you know that I did not eat the food?"he asked me smiling. "I.. " I tried talking but he cut me off. " I trust you okay? I mean who wouldn't trust someone who saved them from killers. I trust you more than myself and as for the food. I didn't eat it because I noticed that you haven't eaten anything yet,so I decided to wait until your anger against me for what I don't know I did dies down then we'll eat the food together "he said smiling. I didn't know that I was crying already. Here I was saying despicable things about him while he worried about me. " Hey, don't cry. I know you were worried about me and I want to tell you something "he said while wiping my tears but I noticed that his face fell and his hands began shaking. " Whatever you want to say should wait until you're done eaten " I ordered. " Only if you will eat with me, will you? " " Okay "I said coldly. " Then let's eat "he says and we seat to eat.
