The trip to Northern Ireland was completely manic. The crowd they played to in Belfast were exuberant and wild and welcoming. News of The Rebels’ rise to fame had quickly spread; they were gaining air time on all the major radio stations and their new single was zooming up the download charts. People actually knew the words to their songs now and sang along with fervour. At the end of the show, a huge crowd had congregated outside the entrance doors of the club and the whole band were chased up the road. The police had to intervene and form a blockade to allow the guys, Elizabeth and Melody to reach their hotel unscathed and in one piece. Jack was yelling with excitement that his shirt had been ripped from his back and the other guys thought their very first mobbing was unbelievably cool.
