"Ang ganda mo po talaga, doc!" My lady patient said. "Ikaw ang pinakamagandang pilipina dito sa ospital!" The other patients giggled. I've been monitoring the patient of this ward since last year. All of the patients here have cancer. Kaunti lang ang nagaling sa mga pasyente na nandito pero pag galing naman ay hindi na naibalik ang sakit nila. This ward has ten beds. Limang kama lang ang okupado. I'm glad that most of the patients here are Filipino's. Tipid na ngiti ang ibinigay ko sa kanila. Chinecheck up ko ang vitals ng mga pasyente ngayon. Today is my day off but I don't have anything to do that's why I just went here to work. I've been working my ass off since last month. Dalawang buwan na 'akong walang break. "Matalino din si doktora at mayaman pa!" pagsang ayon ni lolo Dan. "Pero bakit single ka, doktora?" Nakangiwing tanong naman ni aling Lora. Sya ang pinakamatagal ko ng pasyente. She's like a mother to me. She has stage two breast cancer. Maayos pa naman ang katawan nya at hindi din halata na may sakit siya. The truth is she's improving a lot. Her daughter is a citizen here in America that's why she's here. "Hindi ko naman po kailangan ng boyfriend," ngumiti ako sa kanila. Inayos ko ang kumot ni Detdet. "Anong hindi? Hija, bente otso ka na at kailangan mo din ng makakasama sa buhay! Hindi masaya ang tumandang mag isa, hija." umiling si Lola Aura. "Doktora, yung anak ko gwapo, baka gusto mo?" nakangiting sabi ni kuya Dan. I chuckled lightly "Hindi ako pumapatol sa bata, kuya Dan." "Ah... edi gusto mo yung mas matanda saiyo?" Si aling Lora. I pouted. "P'wede naman po basta hindi mas bata." Ngumisi ako sa sarili at umiling. Inayos ko ang kumot ni Detdet. She's sleeping peacefully. She looks pale and thin. Detdet is just nine years old. She was five when she was diagnosed with cancer, brain cancer. They all nodded. Tumingin ako sa orasan at ngumiti sa kanila. Tumayo ako. "Aalis na po ako. May surgery po ako mamaya," I said to them with a half-smile on my lips. "Babalik ka, doktora, ha? Hahanapin ka ni Detdet," Lola Aura said. Nakangiting tumango ako. After some talk with them, I left. Nakapamulsang naglakad ako papunta sa lobby ng ospital. The nurses greeted me and I just smiled. I sat on the sofa. Kitang kita ko mula dito ang labas ng ospital. There's a lot of people going back and forth. Sandoval Medical Hospital is no joke just like this hospital. I didn't expect that I would end up working here instead of working in our own hospital. "You're still working?" I shifted my eyes. He sat in front of me and handed me a cup of coffee. He's wearing his white coat and there's a stethoscope around his neck, of course, he's wearing his glasses. There are three ballpens in the pocket of his coat. His hair was a bit messy. He doesn't look like a doctor. Para syang batang inaantok lagi. I raised my brows. "Thanks." "I thought it's your day off?" Patanong na aniya nya. "I don't have anything to do. Tumango s'ya. I sipped on my coffee. "Fix your hair, Troy.” He chuckled sexily. Umiling sya at sinuklay ang buhok gamit ang kamay nya. "Your flight is next week, right?" He asked. Tumango ako. ''Ikaw? Wala ka pang balak umuwi?" "Nah. I'm happy here." "Dwyne told me that you've got a new tattoo?'' "Yeah." "You tattooed her name?" I asked softly. Nagiwas sya ng tingin at tumango. I sighed and shook my head. "Right now, that's the only thing that can keep me sane, Solace," he whispered painfully. My heart became heavy. "Hindi ko na kasi siya pwedeng makita. My presence will hurt her, that's why I just tattooed her name on my wrist. Gusto kong isipin na nandito pa sya sa tabi ko kaya ipinatattoo ko nalang ang pangalan niya." He swallowed so hard. "Troy..." "Nangako kasi siya, Solace. She promised that she will be there while I'm achieving my dreams pero hindi na kasi pwede kaya ginagawa ko lahat para kahit papaano ay masabi kong nasa tabi ko parin s'ya." I bit my lips. He glanced at me. He forced a smile. "I'm fine, Solace.” A fake smile may fool the crowd but it never eases the pain. I know how much he’s trying to make everything okay for his mother and her but he needs to be happy too.  Suminghap ako. He's the most selfless man I knew. His eyes are so lifeless, I couldn't see anything. "I have to go, I have surgery. Bye, Solace," paalam n'ya. Ngumiti ako at tumango sakanya. Tumayo s'ya at kumaway sa'kin nang may tipid na ngiti sa labi. He left with his coffee. I sighed. "Solene Ashiance!" Kumakaway na tawag ni Dwyne. I saw Dwyne with Dylan and Spencer. Spencer's wearing his hoodie and jeans with a pair of sneakers, nahaharangan ng bangs n'ya ang kanyang mata. Si Dwyne naman ay nakasuot ng t-shirt at ripped jeans, he's also wearing his black rubber shoes and Dylan, on the other hand, is wearing his black jacket and black denim jeans with a pair of white sneakers. Halatang bagot na bagot na si Dylan at Spencer. Ngumiti ako at tinanggal ang sunglasses ko. I walk towards them. Dwyne hugged me. I chuckled. "You've become shorter, Solace," Spencer said. Kinuha niya ang maleta at bag ko. I rolled my eyes at him. Ngumiti ako at niyakap siya. Niyakap ko din si Dylan na malamig ang tingin sa'kin. People were looking at us because of these three handsome guys. "Let's go! I'm excited to go home!" I giggled like a kid. We started walking towards the exit of the airport. They're so tall, I feel like I'm a kid because I'm the shortest one! "Dapat ay isinama mo si Troy. Gagong yun, masyadong nag enjoy ang Amerika tapos hindi na umuwi!" Nakangiwing sabi ni Dwyne habang nakaakbay sa'kin. "Hindi naman nagpapakasaya lang si Troy sa Amerika, Dwyne. He's working there!''sikmat ko. . "He can work here!" Giit n’ya pa. "He loves working abroad, and besides, you know why he's there," I said. Sumama ang mukha n'ya. "He should've moved on by now!" "Moving on isn't easy, Dwyne," Dylan said coldly. "What about you? hindi ka parin nakakamove on?" nang aasar na tanong nya. I rolled my eyes. "Whatever, Dwyne. How's your girlfriend by the way?" I asked. His forehead creased. "Alin do'n?" My lips parted. Seriously? Ilang girlfriend ba ang mayroon s'ya? Akala mo naman ay napagkarami. "The girl named Danna?" "Break na kami," he answered boredly. I laughed heartily. "Buti nga." He glance at me with his shocked eyes. Natatawang umiling ako. I don't really like that Lizel girl because she's so jealous. Pati ako ay pinagseselosan nya. Akala niya siguro ay aagawin ko si Dwyne, eh hindi naman kaagaw agaw ang taong 'to. "So why did she break up with you?" I asked. His brows raised up while his forehead was crumpled. "I'm the one who broke up with her!" "Oh, really? Sorry, I thought she's the one who broke up with you, I mean she's... well, pretty." Ngumiwi ako. He glared at me. "I'm handsome!" "That fucker is a cheater," malamig na sabi ni Dylan habang nakatingin ng masama sa bunsong kapatid. My lips parted. Nanlalaki ang matang tinignan ko si Dwyne. "What? I told you, kuya! I didn't cheat on her!" Iritadong sabi n'ya. "We saw you," Spencer uttered out of the blue. Napakurap kurap ako at hindi makapaniwala sa naririnig. Seriously? "She's a friend!" "You don't kiss a friend!" Umiling ako. "She kissed me but I didn't kiss her back!" "Right. If you do that again, I'm gonna kill you." Matalim ang tingin ni Dylan kay Dwyne. Dwyne just pouted like a kid. "Sandovals don't cheat, Dwyne. Stop fooling around like a kid," I said softly to him. "I didn't cheat!" Iritado na s'ya. I sighed and shook my head. Nakarating kami sa parking lot at sumakay sa kotse ni Spencer. He brought his Mercedes-Benz CLS. He's still into cars, I see. Spencer's the one who's driving. Si Dylan ang nakasakay sa passenger's seat at kami ni Dwyne ang nasa likuran. "Sleep, Solace," Dwyne said. He put my head on his shoulder. A small smile crept into my lips. I closed my eyes. Not a long time ago, after I closed my eyes, I heard a loud bang and I felt a big impact. Nagmulat ako ng mata at nakitang nakatigil na kami. Did we bump into something? My heart is beating because of nervousness. Nakita kong may kotse din sa harapan namin. "Wait here. Tangina, binangga tayo. Solace, don't go out okay?" Spencer said seriously. Nag aalalang tumango ako. Dwyne and Dylan are both Calm. Am I the only one who's nervous? Oh, God! ''Pag napaaway si Spencer tawagan nyo si Terrence para siya ang umayos," sabi ni Dylan bago pumikit at natulog. "I know," It was Dwyne. My jaw dropped. They're not even worried! Nakangiti pa si Dwyne na parang natutuwa pa sa nangyari. Kinalma ko ang sarili at tumingin sa binatana. I saw Spencer talking to a sexy girl with a tattoo on her neck. Nakasuot ng black na bralette ang babae at maikling maong shorts. Her hair was tied into a messy bun. Mukha siyang mataray. Spencer looks so irritated. After some minutes he entered the car, looking pissed. He started driving. "What happened, Spencer?" Naguguluhan na tanong ko. "We're going to the police station."  His jaw clenched madly. My eyes widened. "What? Why?! Oh my God, Spencer! Makukulong ka ba?" I asked worriedly. Dwyne chuckled. "Hindi s’ya tatanggapin sa kulungan," untag ni Dwyne. My forehead creased. "What happened Spencer?" I probed, not minding what Dwyne said. "They're following us," Dylan said. My eyes widen. Napalingon ako sa likod ng sasakyan at nakitang nakasunod nga ang kotse kanina! "Tita Sarah will be mad! Nagsisi na 'ko! Sana ay hindi na lang ako nagpasundo sa inyo!" I said hysterically. Dwyne laughed. "Relax, Solace. It's just a simple accident, okay?" he said coolly. Umiling iling ako. Nagsisi na 'ko! Sana'y hindi nalang ako nagpasundo sakanilang tatlo! I should've ask Terrence instead of them! God, why did I forgot that they're walking troubles? We're dead! We're goddamn dead! "That girl is sexy," Dwyne said. Inirapan ko siya. After one hour, we reach the police station. Bumaba silang tatlo para pumasok sa police station habang ako ay nanatili sa loob ng sasakyan, kabado na. Kinuha ko ang cellphone ko sa bag. I started typing Me: Kuya Terrence, we're in trouble. We're in the police station. Kinagat ko ang labi ko habang naghihintay sa reply nya. I hope he's not busy. I swallowed when my phone beeped. Terrence Javez: You should've called me instead of them, Solace. Papagalitan ka ni lolo. I'm on the way. Huminga 'ko ng malalim. He will scold us for sure. My phone started to ring. Kiya Terrence is calling. Should I answer it or not? I pressed the answer button. "Hello, Solene? This is Savriel. Where are you? Are you okay?" Savriel asked softly. "I-im good. Where's  Spencer?" Kabadong tanong ko. ''He's driving. He's really mad, Solene. Loraine's with us, she tagged along. I need to hang up now, I just wanted to check if you're okay. Bye, take care!" ''Alright, bye." Pinatay ko ang tawag at naghintay na. Matapos ang dalawang oras ay nakita ko na ang kotse ni kuya Terrence. Bumaba silang tatlo. Loraine started walking towards Spencer's car where I am. Si kuya at Savriel naman ay pumasok na agad sa police station. Kumatok siya sa bintana at agad ko siyang pinagbuksan. She smiled at me. "Let's go. Asan ang mga gago? Galit na galit si Terrence," natatawang sabi ni Loraine at ikinawit ang kamay sa braso ko. "Your boobs got bigger, huh? May nalamas na ba?" She asked joking. A smile appeared on my lips. Natatawang inirapan ko sya. Pagpasok sa police station ay nakita ko ang mga pinsan ko na nakaupo. My eyes shifted to the chair where the girl is sitting. My hands went cold when I saw who's behind her. He's wearing a black shirt and cargo pants with a pair of white sneakers. His tantalizing blue eyes were looking at me. His hair is a bit messy and his piercing is still the same. He got taller. My heart ached while I was looking at his eyes. His eyes look so cold. I swallowed so hard and looked away. My heart beats fast when he said something. "I didn't know."
