CHAPTER 2

King Aspen is busy on his duty as a leader of his planet. He always makes sure his kingdom is safe and sound. Before his parents died they taught him so well and he learns a lot to properly manage everything even up to the smallest details and the secrets to keep it hidden. At the right time King Aspen would surely inform Princess Athenusa about the history of their kingdom. Princess Athenusa stays in her beautiful room. She has advance high technology computer. The computer doesn’t need keyboard it functions when you face your brain in front of the screen and it will automatically read the thoughts in your mind. Princess Athenusa is busy investigating her design to invent. I know it’s not easy at first but eventually I can successfully create what I want to build. Show me inventions that has been already shape and on how they design it. Princess Athenusa explains in her room to the computer. The computer shows to her the image of the technology and she chooses what kind of invention she wants to read. Queen Beringaria is also in their room arranging the things around them before they would sleep together with her husband. The bed is made of steel and has its own design just click the button what type of design you want. Queen Beringaria came from rich family. Her family owns half of the business across their planet one of the reasons why the parents of King Aspen really like her. Aside from having a wealthy clan she is very responsible taking good care of her husband. She’s a wife material knows everything at home. She always makes sure that their kingdom is well organized, clean and green. The kingdom is made of steel, gold, silver and other parts are made of glass that cannot easily break. They have trees, flowers, and pet in their backyard. The trees, plants and grasses are different. The trees are taller and the leaves have different mix colors like red, blue, violet, orange, yellow and indigo. The color of the grass is purple very firm, and well designed by the robot gardener. The robot is program to perform his task but they have their kind also who is assigned to check or follow up the robots performance. Queen Beringaria is preparing their dinner and she is calling Athenusa over phone.

My child! Are you at home? Queen Beringaria asked.

Yes Mother I’m here already 30 minutes ago I’m sorry if I forgot to kiss you I’m so excited to create my invention that’s why I go up here in my room immediately to do the research. Princess Athenusa said.

Okay let’s take a dinner with your father later.

Yes I will mother. She is holding her advance computer while talking to her mother over phone. Queen Beringaria is also holding a plate while talking to her daughter. She is in the kitchen cooking food for the dinner with the assistance of the robots. King Aspen is also talking to his best friend Lord Shiva about the situation of the planet.

Shiva, tell me what is happening to our kind in low class who operates our technology. Did you talk to their head? King Aspen asked.

Yes my majesty! They are always creating new innovative high end advance technology. Don’t worry about it I already follow up our kinds for inventing new technology. Lord Shiva said.

Did they follow the protocol? Make sure that they will not exceed in the rules of the environment. King Aspen said.

Yes my majesty! Everything is under control.

To the other side Princess Athenusa is walking downstairs towards her mother.

Princess Athenusa kisses her mother in her hand and cheeks as part of their tradition.

Mother, is father going to eat with us tonight? Princess Athenusa asked.

Yes my princess this is why I am quite busy preparing the favorite dish of your father and of course I would never forget your favorite too.

There are different types of robot across the planet that is program on what type of task they are going to perform.

Can you call your father and tell him that the dinner is ready? He is in the backyard. Queen Beringaria said.

Sure mother I will. Princess Athenusa walks through towards his father.

Father, Are you still busy? Princess Athenusa asked.

Oh my beautiful princess! I didn’t know you are here. King Aspen said.

I’ve been here for 30 minutes already. Am I disturbing you? Princess Athenusa asked.

She kisses his father in his right hand and cheeks a way of showing respect.

No it’s okay I am just done talking to Shiva about the circulation of our planet.

Well father can you share it with me?

Yes soon my daughter not now this is not yet the right time to let you know about our planet. King Aspen said.

Don’t worry father I’ll wait for the right time but before anything else mother told me to approach you because the dinner is ready.

Sure thing since I am just done talking to your uncle Lord Shiva.

Yes speaking of uncle Shiva I’m interested to know about him.

Yes later after our dinner. King Aspen said.

Father, Are you sure you’re okay? Princess Athenusa worries to his father’s facial expression. She is thinking there’s something wrong after talking to Lord Shiva.

Yes my child I’m fine you have nothing to worry about.

Queen Beringaria looks around she could see her handsome husband and beautiful daughter talking to each other while walking towards the dining room where she is waiting for them. She kisses her husband first on his cheeks and her daughter. As they sit down enjoying to eat their favorite food together. The taste of the food is so delicious. Queen Beringaria cooks a soup fish and chicken but different design. The smell is really good it makes you hungry even more. King Aspen use a fork and spoon every time he eats. He is wearing his fashionable suit fur shawl made of gold and his undergarment is made of silver. They rarely talk when they eat. Princess Athenusa is staring at her parents while eating her favorite food which is chicken soup. The dining area is so quiet you could only hear them eating. The robots are serving their food but they have also their kind who is initiating what to serve in the dining table. After King Aspen finish eating, he immediately drinks glass of water and walks toward the living room watching TV. Their television is high technology because you could talk and will automatically turn on his own just speak what channel you want to view. While King Aspen is relaxing Queen Beringaria also finishes eating next to his husband. She sits beside her husband.

My majesty how’s your day? I could see it in your eyes you are tired. Do you want a massage? Queen Beringaria asked.

No I’m fine my lady I’m just thinking of our workers if they are okay of their job. I’m a bit worried but everything is fine according to Lord Shiva. King Aspen said.

Good to know my beloved husband. I know you’re doing your best for the safety of our planet.

As they watch news on TV. Princess Athenusa finishes also eating and she joins her parents to their conversation. She sits on the chair beside at the right hand of his father. She is interested to watch the news it’s all about the students successfully invented the new advance technology. Each of them has its own design. King Aspen looks at to Princess Athenusa.

My child how’s yours studies? King Aspen asked.

Yes Father I’m about to share it with you. Good thing you ask. First of all I already have an idea. I’m doing the research if I can possibly create the new technology that I like. Now that we have time to talk I would really want to ask advices.

King Aspen and Queen Beringaria look at to each other. My child I would like to show you my inventions. Come follow me in my sacred room. King Aspen said.

After your father showing his own invention I’ll let you show mine also my daughter. Queen Beringaria said.

Yes mother I’m excited to find out what are those.

My lady wife your daughter and I need to discuss more. I’ll bring her into my sacred room. King Aspen said.

Yes enjoy your moment with your daughter my beloved husband. Queen Beringaria said.

Princess Athenusa is looking at them. Queen Beringaria kisses her husband and daughter when they left her.

Come my child I’ll show you my magnificent creation in which used by many now a days. King Aspen said.

Yes my father.

As they walk towards the sacred room it is located in the second floor of the palace next to their bedroom.

You know my child I spend time a lot in this room. You see me seldom walking around our palace. I treasure everything in here. There is sentimental value with me in this place. The memories of your great grandparents are here. The beauty of the sacred room is really beautiful, elegant and mysterious.

You can see around the room there are things you reallywant to know. King Aspen explained.

Yes my father I notice it is like I’m returning in the past because of the memories of my great grandparents.

In the room you can see the old black book display in the center. Princess Athenusa is curious about it. She’s desperate want to know what’s inside of the book. His father continue to share stories about his parents but he notices that her daughter is keep on looking at the old black book. Princess Athenusa looks around it is the first time his father bring her in the sacred room.

Father, why did you bring me here? I thought this room is forbidden to everybody.

Yes my child this room is exclusively can visit me and your mother. You are growing up that’s why I just want you to look around in this room. It’s your privilege to see what’s inside in this room. King Aspen put his two hands in the back of Princess Athenusa while talking to her.

I remember in my younger days I want to be with you in this room but you don’t let me in. I was holding my favorite doll.

Yes my child because those days are not yet the right time for you. King Aspen said.

Princess Athenusa couldn’t control her curiosity. She walks slowly toward the old black book as if she is not interested. She is holding other things of his father like the walking chairs and the talking computer. Until she reaches the center area in which the book is located and she holds it slowly.

Father, what’s inside in this book? I’m desperately eager to know. Would you like to share the history of this book? Why it is forbidden for me to read? Are there any secrets you hide?

My child you ask so many questions. I’m not surprise because you are getting mature but at the right time I’ll tell you everything about this book and the secrets keep hidden. Can we just forget it? Don’t worry every questions you have right now will be answer at the right time. Are we going to discuss my first invention or not?

Yes my father, I’m willing to listen and tell me about it.

So how’s Master Noman and his invention did he teach you well? Did he explain it to all of you?

Yes my father, he taught us everything that we want to know most especially in our future inventions.

I’ll tell you about Master Noman because he is indeed a great master. His parents were also my master everything you’ve learned from Master Noman was came from his parents. He adapted his talent from his parents but as days pass by he learned on his own. He had a lot of experiences encountered. You should follow his order for you to learn better.

Princess Athenusa is listening while holding the little robot.

The little robot was my first invention your great grandfather taught me on how to make one but he just gave me an ideas. The idea of making a robot is came from me that’s why you could see now they are everywhere but there are different types of robot that is reprogram and reinvented by the new generation.

Father, may I know what are the great ideas to be successful in inventing new advance technology? What are those advices that my great grandparents taught you?

Princess Athenusa is now sitting at the chair in front of his father wherein his father sits beside the window crossing his legs. In the window you can see the beauty of the palace.

The ideas are the same with what Master Noman told you because the master of your great grandparents is the great grandparents of Master Noman in which Master Noman got the heritage and spread it in all of his students. Technically, I’m going to share my ideas on how I created my own first invention. King Aspen sigh and take a deep breath before he shares his experience for making new technology. First and foremost I investigated through computers I even research what are the technology that had been made already I notice nobody yet invented a robot then I came up an idea to invent a robot similar to us but not with the same height we have a little robot that I could play with in my teenage years. Then I apply of what my master taught us to never give up in our invention, hard work and patience. I look everywhere what tools,equipment, metals and alloys should I use in my own design robot. I went to our building the factory of steels. I was observing on how they do that your great grandfather allowed me to watch the processing of making steels, metals and alloys. Then I was thinking to copy the body to make it into a steel to look exactly similar to us then I never gave up on that. Your great grandfather was confident with me that I could make it. He supported me in everything that I do. It’s really hard at first because that was my first time just like every one of us here struggle the first attempt to build new technology but since we have our parents to support us it help us to make it easier. From then on I started to build a robot I never tried to let my hope lose. I was hopeful that I can make it through. There’s no day that I missed to build my first invention. I tried to fail many times but still I continue on what I want to shape. I even slept in the shop surrounded of tools, equipment’s and machines. I even forgot to eat sometimes. The good thing was your great grandfather never missed to assist he sent me my favorite food in the shop where I slept. Your great grandmother was so worried about me but your great grandfather explains to her that I should experience that ways because in that way I would learn a lot of things. Your great grandmother was very understanding. She never opposed your great grandfather in his decision.

Are they aware why we should do these things I mean inventing technology for what purpose? Why do we need to do that? Princess Athenusa asked while listening to his father.

King Aspen looks on her eyes every time he would share his stories. King Aspen is surprise by the question of Princess Athenusa.

My child you already know history right? Master Noman for sure shares it to all of you. At the right age you will know why but as you could see we have advance technology everywhere. It helps us a lot in everything we do. Inventing new technology matters most in our planet but I’m afraid there are some of our kinds exceeded in their inventions. We have rules and law to follow to make sure the invention is healthy in our environment. There are a lot of things that you must know my child as much as I want to share more about it I apologize that I just can’t because as of now you’re still too young.

Princess Athenusa is curious in her mind why his father didn’t answer some of her questions? What are those things that she must know? Why it has to be at the right time? Why not now? Princess Athenusa talking to herself but since she is obedient and understanding she responds to his father.

Father, that’s okay you have nothing to worry about it I understand. Princess Athenusa said.

Thank you for your understanding my child.

He kisses her daughter gently in her right hand.

Yes my father I’m willing to wait at the right time. I’m also listening to your stories.

My story will help you a lot to achieve your goals. I continue to design my invention focusing from the time I started to build a robot. I sacrifice my time to spent more relatable things in my invention. My experience is different from the others because sometimes it is unavoidable that our kinds keep on updating of everything that I do they are expecting so much from me as the king of our planet. I can feel the pressure every day of my life but as time goes on I learn how to balance that’s why it’s no surprise for me if you feel the same way like mine. I don’t want you to feel what I felt before. As you could see I provided everything for you. You are the most precious kind across our planet. I commanded everybody in our kingdom to protect you wherever you go. Even if you don’t know I send someone to watch over you all the time. You have always been protected because I know there are some will try to hurt you. They will do anything to harm you. My eyes are always with you. I didn’t question my existence because I believe everything happens for a reason handling our planet is not easy but as I grow older and with the help of my surroundings I keep on practicing myself to deal with it. I have no choice but to face the challenges that has given to me. Your great grandparents never fail to guide me. Your Uncle Shiva supports me in everything and we’ve been through a lot of struggles. There are a lot of stories to tell between us .He became my best friend in a way our friendship grows stronger than ever.

Father, I’m interested to listen of your story with Uncle Shiva on how you became friends. Princess Athenusa said.

Yes sure thing I would share my experience on inventing then the story between me and Shiva. As I’ve said the best things that happen to me while processing to create my invention was your great grandparents never stop believing in me. Until I successfully program the robot I thought at first it’s not going to work but I tried my very best to achieve it and now they are everywhere reinvented by many. King Aspen said.

Yes that’s true I notice so we should be thankful to you for having a robot. Robots help us in so many ways. Father, can you share your memories in your younger days? Princess Athenusa changes her position while listening to his father.

I am thinking what to start. Way back before in my teenage days I had a lot of friends but Shiva is closer to me. We hang out together making fun and he always there when I needed him. We shared ideas especially the lesson in our school I go to their house vice versa. It seemed so perfect between us our friendship was getting stronger but the fate had been cruel to us. Our friendship had been tested we fought sometimes for the senseless things but after we became friends again. We respect our differences while enjoying our common similarities. Then one day came there was this beautiful girl your mother Beringaria. Shiva saw her first she became his friend they are very close to each other that’s why sometimes I was looking to Shiva but he’s not around in our favorite place that we used to play. I found out he spent his time with the girl. Then we attended the party in school that’s the time Shiva introduce to me Beringaria. She was so pretty I couldn’t close my eyes watching her. She was dancing with Shiva. I knew from a far she was looking at me too. I shake hands with her and asking her name as well as mine. The party was over the day after tomorrow I saw her on the street walking along the way where I was walking also our eyes met to each other then we stop. It was the best feeling that I ever had. I knew from myself that I already love her since the night party. She greeted me with hi and I answer her back saying hello. That was the time that I approached her. She told me if I want to be with her. With no second thoughts I said yes. From then on we always met in our free time. Shiva noticed that there were times that I wasn’t with him he saw us in the other building so sweet but we’re not yet together. When that time Shiva saw us he felt betrayed and I could sense he really loved Beringaria. He sacrificed his time just to bewith her. I understood him why he was doing that because I felt it too. We both loved beautiful Beringaria your mother. We even fought because of her I told him that we’re not committed to each other. I fought back because I’m in loved to Beringaria. When that incident happened we parted ways focusing to the path we chose but we did promise at the right age we would ask Beringaria who among us she wanted to be with. The most advantaged thing happened was my parents are close to her parents. Her parents introduce her to me and I was surprised because I wasn’t expecting that it was Beringaria then we enjoyed the moment together. We slightly talked about Shiva then suddenly Beringaria expressed her feelings towards me. She said the first time we’ve met she knew that I’m the one for her. I was happy when she told me that because we both do have the same feelings. Then we are looking for Shiva we explained to him about us. Shiva was a grown up and matured already in everything that he does. He accepted the fact that they are not meant to be but our friendship remain stronger. He knew I was the king of our planet. He understood the situation we don’t kept secrets and we always talk to each other whenever there was a discrepancy between us. He said he was willing to serve me as his majesty. Until now our friendship remain deeper. I couldn’t make our planet to be the best without his help. I owe him from the rest of my life. King Aspen explained.

Wow what a friendship you invested to each other father? I wish I can have a best friend like Uncle Shiva. He is really a great man. What about the reaction of mother to Uncle Shiva?

Your mother was so calm when she spoke to Shiva she explained everything especially her feelings towards me. Shiva that time cried because he was hurt so bad your mother was his first love so do I. As I’ve said Shiva accepted the fact that they are really not meant for each other. We apologize to him. He accepted it when the time he got over his feelings to Beringaria. After we’ve gone through we became much closer.

I couldn’t just imagine what Uncle Shiva sacrifices just for you father. It is heartbreaking for him. Princess Athenusa said.

He had no choice I think but after that we leaved it in the past about what happened. As time goes on Shiva met somebody the love of his life. They got married and so was I. We got married in the same month. He has a son studied in your school same age like you. King Aspen said.

Oh really! Father, may I know his name? Princess Athenusa Asked.

I think wait I’m still thinking oh yes I remember his name is Adrianus.

What? Adrianus he is my classmate.

Well it is possible he could be your classmate. He sometimes visits here in our palace because of his father. King Aspen said.

The palace is so big there are robots and our workers roaming around every corner. How would I recognize him? The good thing is we are classmates.

That’s good news I’m sure Adrianus know already about you. You’re my daughter everyone knows you since you were born. King Aspen said.

Oh I see I know it father. Princess Athenusa sighs.

In her mind now she knows why Adrianus keep on looking at her. That guy is really mysterious. He didn’t inform me about his father.

Are you still there my child? What are you thinking? Is there something wrong? King aspen asked but a little bit worried.

No father I’m pretty well fine.

Do you want me to continue to share our memories with your Uncle Shiva?

Surely father no worries I’m still interested to listen.

Every 3rd and last year in your school there’s always a competition game of which one is the most new innovative advance high technology invention. By that time in our 3rd level and last level in school that was the terrible fought I ever had with Shiva because of your mother. He was really angry. He strived hard to make the best technology. He was desperate to won the competition game. He wanted to defeat me and when the final judgment came he successfully won the competition. He was the one who invented the advance computer that we are using today. Everything you wanted to know it was program in the computer. Sad to say it doesn’t changed the fact that Beringaria wouldn’t love him as much as he loved her. Shiva is brilliant that’s why I find ways to get him back as my best friend but those were just memories. Memories that we couldn’t forget but the most important thing was though we encountered obstacles our friendship remain stronger.

Now I know where Adrianus got his attitude. He got it from his father and almost like him. Princess Athenusa said.

Of course he will! And oh it’s already late at night my child. We have more stories to discuss about soon. I have so many things wanted to tell you but don’t worry at the right time I’ll tell you everything. You take a rest now because you still have class tomorrow.

Yes my father I’m willing to wait. Thanks a lot for sharing a wonderful stories I enjoy it. I am looking forward to those stories that you didn’t share. Princess Athenusa kisses her father a goodnight kiss in his right hand and cheeks as a sign of respect.

Don’t worry my child I will.

Father before I forgot. Will you teach me to play archery?

Yes my child when we do have free time I will teach you.

Father, I have to go now.

Princess Athenusa walks straight towards the exit door. She leaves his father in his sacred room. She is thinking about the old black book. She is thinking to find the book that is similar with the old black book that his father put in the center of the sacred room. She never visits library because she has advance computer that you would ask anything the computer automatically would answer your questions. She asks her friends to accompany her to go to the library. When she walks through her bedroom she tries to ask the computer about the content that was written in the old black book but the computer couldn’t find it. The old black book is different from the rest of the books. She sees her mother still awake.

Mother, why are you still awake?

I’m waiting for you I couldn’t sleep not seeing you sleeping in your bed. You know how much you mean to me you’re my life and I love you. Queen Beringaria said.

Oh mother so sweet of you. She hugs her mother tightly. I love you too my greatest mother.

Queen Beringaria kisses her daughter in her cheeks and Princess Athenusa kisses her back. Princess Athenusa continually walks through her bedroom. As she enters in her room she changes her clothes but her mother looking at her. Princess Athenusa lies down to her bed she uses her blanket to cover her body because it’s cold. She’s a little bit tired that’s why she sleeps immediately. Her mother is thinking that she forgot to ask her daughter about the conversation to his father but she didn’t mind it anymore maybe next time the two of them will going to share stories as well as most especially about the invention. She walks throughout the door of her daughter after seeing her she’s already lying in the bed.
