CHAPTER 4

It’s past 7:00 when she arrives at home. She’s late because she eats her favorite food to the restaurant. She couldn’t wait the food that her mother prepares for them. While eating at the restaurant she sees a guy he is very attractive you could easily appreciate his looks even from a far. Her eyes couldn’t take away of him all of the sudden the guy disappear. She ignores it because she couldn’t do anything about it. She goes back home directly to her room. She changes her clothes and herroom is full of paintings. She is fond of making paintings because she really loves art. After changing her clothes she walks downstairs looking for her parents.

Mother, where are you? I’m here now. Elyseria said.

Oh you’re here I am waiting for you we’re about to eat dinner with your father. He’s coming over. What makes you late? Maarika asked.

I eat outside to our favorite restaurant. I am craving for my favorite dish.

Elyseria, you shouldhave told me that you’re not taking your dinner here. You can use your phone.

I’m sorry mother I forgot to call you. I’m too excited dropping by at the restaurant next time I would inform you earlier. She’s looking to the face of her mother while apologizing.

It’s okay Elyseria. How’s your school?

Both of them heard footsteps walking towards them.

I think it’s your Dad coming.

Yes Mom I’m about to share it with you. I just want to ask about technology with you and Dad.

Why? What did I miss? What’s that all about? Agafya kisses her lovely wife Maarika and her daughter Elyseria.

Your daughter is asking about inventing advance technology. That’s a lot to talk about. Your father is willing to show his inventions. Maarika said.

I want to see both of your inventions. Can you show it to me? Elyseria said.

Yes sure thing but before we’re going to discuss about it. Can we eat first because I feel hungry now? Agafya asked.

The dinner is ready. Maarika said.

Let’s eat. Agafya said. They both sit in the dining area wherein the food is properly prepared.

Elyseria, are you not going to eat with us? Agafya asked.

I’m done Dad eating at the restaurant. I’m sorry I didn’t inform you and Mom. Enjoy your dinner.

They eat quietly as they are surrounded by robots that are program to do his task. They are serving the food.

Elyseria is walking outside of their house. She is trying counting the moon and stars for fun. She is staring at them thinking what to invent. She sighs sitting at the grass waiting for her parents to finish. Her parents are talking about their child about the technology she wants to create after they are done eating. The robots help to clean up the dining area. I think this is the time that we’re going to show our machineries building. Agafya said.

I agree with you. Maarika said.

Maarkia and Agafya looking for Elyseria she’s outside of the house watching stars.

Hey beautiful! Are you ready to see our inventions? Your mother is coming with us. Agafya said

Elyseria turn around standing while talking to her parents.

Yes Dad and Mom that would be great. We’re going to use my car.

No I insist we’re going to use my car. Why? Do you know exactly where we heading?

No Dad I am just offering my car.

Her mother is looking at the car that landed in front of them ready to fly. Agafya is the one driving. Maarika sit right next to his husband and Elyseria sit at the back. As they fly Elyseria suddenly ask out of her curiosity. Is there someone on our planet had been into the moon and stars? Is it possible to touch them Dad?

Well in our planet Elyseria as you could see you would say anything is possible here but the truth is there are still some questions are left unanswered. Your mother knew about it. We are aware about the planet that hassuper advance high technology than us. I haven’t heard yet one of our kinds had been into the moon and stars. I heard a story that someone is capable to touch stars and moon but not our kind. Agafya said.

What? So you mean our planet is not alone?

Agafya it’s really complicated this is not the right time to talk about Elyseria is too young. Maarika said.

Why not Mom? Why are you not telling me?

There are a lot of stories to tell those are just one of the stories that are unsure and untold. Maarika said.

Yeah your Mom is right. Agafya responded. His eyebrows raise and his facial expression change. He almost wants to share the stories that he knows.

Anyway you know technology in our planet matters the most because it helps us a lot but we still have rules and law to abide. We shouldn’t exceed or abuse it. Agafya said.

Okay Dad and Mom though I’m confuse a little but never mind I’ll just understand as much as I could but in her mind that’s the story that she wants to know if it’s true or not. Elyseria replied.

We’re here in our building.

Are you not excited Elyseria? Maarika said.

Of course I am Mom. She is really pretty you can see to her face that she’s really happy when she sees the building. The feeling of euphoria that she feels makes her to be more interested in the building.

How long have you build this building Dad?

We have sentimental value in this building. We really love this place because we have memories here including our things we put everything here.

Elyseria looks around while her Mom keeps on looking at her as they walk towards the door. The door automatically opens on his own his father swipe his hand. They enter into the building she could see tools, equipments and machines around the corner. They have machines that have not yet done display inside the building. They have flying chairs that could talk it will take you in the second floor automatically just click the hand part of the chair.

Take us to the second floor. Agafya said. They sit on the chair that made of iron steel taking them into the second floor. They landed and step down the door open automatically as they enter into the room. Elyseria is jolt of what she sees. She didn’t expect those technology made by her parents.

Wow Mom and Dad! You’re inventions are really great.

Elyseria, do you want to know where we’ve met with your Dad? Maarika asked. They look at to each other.

Yes Mom I would really love to hear your love story.

Agafya, do you want to share our story?

No hon, I think it’s way better if you are the one would share our sweetest love story. Agafya said.

All right I’ll share it now. Maarika responds. Maarika and Elysia are sitting on the chair face to face.

I am thinking where to begin your father and me studied from the same school. I met him at the parking lot I was with my friends that time we took pictures, playing skate board, singing and dancing. Afterwards there was a bomb exploded at the park. Everybody’s were panicked, some died and we didn’t know why it happened. We thought it was a bomb we run fast with my friends but we forgot our controller of our flying cars we put it inside our bags and our bags located under the tree. We couldn’t think straight that time, we were rattled, and we cried out loud for help. Then the good thing happened was your father offered his car he picked us up. We really want to get our bags but we couldn’t because the fire was getting bigger. There are four of us that very thankful your Dad came to rescue us. Maarika explain.

Actually before the incident happened your mom didn’t know that I recognize them and your mom seem so attractive for me. I was about to went back home then I saw your mother and her friends stranded inside the park. Allegedly, no second thoughts I immediately rescued them. Agafya explained.

Elyseria and her mother are looking at him.

Oh that’s so sweet Mom and Dad. Can you continue your story?

Yes sure thing that time we were really nervous and our faces couldn’t imagined what it looks like. We were so wet and we were chilling. Your father had been so good to us. He told us to relax and calm because we were safe and sound. Your father drop my friends in their way home but before that we wanted to know what exactly happened and what was the cause of the fire? Your father told us the heavy equipments and machineries was overused they forgot to turn it off. Maarika explain.

I don’t understand Mom it is a park supposed to be an open air. Why it happens that way?

You know before the museum was inside the park. My friends and I went there before we enter the museum we put our bags under the tree beside the guard house so that it would be safe. The machines were also inside the museum where it was exploded we run fast as we could and the fire spread all over the park like a wildfire. After your father drop my friends in their houses I was the one left in his car and I saw your father’s face that he was happy. He asked a lot of questions about me and I answered him back respectfully. I didn’t hesitate to let him knew me because I knew from myself he’s a good kind. I just met him I was so hesitant to trust but it happened so fast. He even told me that he’s observing me I was so thankful because he saved us bravely but he didn’t asked where I studied. He dropped me in my house thanking him for what he done to me. The next morning me and my friends weren’t able could go back to school because of the tragic experienced that we had. Our parents were worried about us because it was flash on TV. We stayed at home calming ourselves until we’re getting better. Maarika explained.

Father, what did you do after the incident happen?

Her father sighs and smiles. Well that time I felt like a hero I was happy of what happened because I got the guts and it’s my chanced to talk to your mother and her friends. I was really intimidated by her but that was the best moment happened to me. On the other side I had this mixed emotion I was sad because some died at the museum park. Nobody expected it would happen. I’ve seen faces of our kinds that were blissful and it turned out to pain. I saw them cried, shed tears and mourning but it was all in the past we forget about it. Your mother didn’t know that I went back at the park to save some of them. Agafya said.

That’s really heroic move dad. You are truly had a big heart. Elyseria said.

Mother, where are your friends now?

They are all had their own families. One of my friends marries a general in the palace he operates the ammunition equipments and machines. He also manages the army squad. They have one son his name is Yakor. If there will be a party in my friend’s house I’m going to introduce you to him. Your father and I like him and his parents are interested to meet you in person. Maarika said.

Why Mom? Elyseria asked.

The mother of Yakor and I are very close among of our friends. We talked before that we want our son and daughter to meet each other but we don’t want to pursue you unless both of you have the same feelings. Don’t worry Elyseria we’re not going to pressure you. It’s still up to you whom do you want to be with. Maarika explain.

Elyseria feel uneasy because she thought her parents will be the one to choose who is going to be her partner. She is comfortable now of what she heard. I’m so thankful to have parents like you. Thank you for letting me decides on my own. Then what happens to your story with Dad?

The day after tomorrow I went to school with my friends. I saw your father walking through the corridor I thought he didn’t noticed me. I was really surprised because I didn’t expect that we had in the same school I thought he belongs to high class family because he had expensive flying car. When I turn around he was exactly behind my back. He approached me and said he was shocked also that we went to the same school same grade but different classroom. I asked him what he was doing and why he had an expensive flying car? Only high class could afford that one. He told me that his parents bought it during sales time that has less percent and sold in low price. By that time my friends and I got only old model flying cars that were sold in low price. His father is busy finding for something when Elyseria look at him. That time your father invited me to go somewhere in the campus in a place that was so quiet and I said yes I would go with you. I left my friends in the room they probably understood me. We got there under the tree where nobody was around but us. Your father told me that he went back to the park wherein the tragic happened. He said he couldn’t ignore to help those were stranded. I was very proud of him for being brave and courageous I thought he wouldn’t share to me about it. From then on your father and I got more even closer and started to be part of our friendships but we’re still too young we didn’t rush to commit. Every time we went to school we’re always together. Maarika explained.

Mother why did you send me in the high class school wherein Princess Athenusa studied?

Yes, I’m glad you ask. Your father and I are aware that we couldn’t study in the school that we want. In our younger days we dreamt of to be part of your school. Then time came we were at the right age our parents decided to set a marriage for us. We’ve been waiting for our wedding to make it real. After the wedding we are excited to have a child it was part of our plan. You are very pretty, charming and lovely. We promise together to improve our lifestyle so we strive hard. We really want you to study in UPSCALE ACADEMY wherein the high class society studying.

Oh come on Mom of course you would say that because you’re my mother.

Well really I have no choice but to believe you Mom. Elyseria Laugh. Do we have to continue discussing your inventions between you and Dad? Elyseria asked.

Of course I’m going to continue when we were at your age we knew every individual should have his own invention so we created our own.

What is your new invention? May I see it Mom?

Yes of course my dear! Agafya, where did you put our first inventions? I think your father have it I saw on the table. Maarika asked. Elyseria look at the table she can see his father holding their old inventions.

I already prepare this because I know you would ask. Agafya said. His father shows the first invention of his wife. The first invention of your mother is the automatic dishwashing machine. It looks like a robot because you just turn it on automatically he will perform his task to clean the plates and arrange everything in the kitchen. Agafya said.

Wow what a wonderful thing! Elyseria flatters of what she sees. How about your first invention Dad? Will you show it to me?

I’m hesitant to show it because your mother’s invention is better than mine. He is standing in front of them holding his first invention. This is my first invention cellphone battery this is a lifetime battery it won’t die unless you lost it but unfortunately I won in my class same thing to your mother. We we’re the representative of our own class. The last year was more intense those students who won in every section would fight their own technology in the last year grade level. Since your mother and I were very close we really work hard for our inventions because we want to win the competition game. Agafya said.

Dad, what are those inventions in your last grade with Mom?

Though we know that our masters is not like Master Pavo the father of your Master Noman because we heard in high class UPSCALE ACADEMY are really high advance technology due to their expensive equipments and machines. We did our best to show that we were capable to make advance technology like them. The palace would be the one to recognize your invention if it is useful in the environment. Some inventions are just ignored especially in our school. Their main focus is more in UPSCALE ACADEMY. Like in your school we also have the competition the best of the best in every last level. Your mother and I competed to the other section and I was hoping that time I would won. The judgment came your mother got the first place. Agafya explained.

Maarika can you share it to your daughter?

No, that’s okay much better if you’re going to share it. Maarika said.

All right, your mother invented the satellite. The palace recognized her invention the main reason why we are rich. It is very useful especially nowadays that’s why we easily can create flying objects though before some of our kinds invented other satellite also but your mother is incredible she made it more advance and powerful. I really never wrong to marry her.

What happens to you Dad during the competition?

Well I was at the second.

Are you not upset or frustrated? Elyseria asked.

I didn’t I was very happy because I love her and I’ll support your mother in everything she does. I was little bit sad because I was hoping that I would win the competition. I didn’t underestimated your mother I know she is really smarter than me. After all I didn’t mind it anyway my success is her success too.

Your father didn’t expect that I was going to won the competition. Maarika interrupt.

Maarika it is much better if you are going to continue our discussion regarding your success. Agafya said.

No Agafya continue to your conversation with your daughter. I’m the one who talks a lot in here. Don’t worry I would interrupt if there is something I want to add. Maarika said.

Fine I’m going to proceed. The palace gave us the opportunity to have a company as a payback of the invention of your mother.

By the way Dad before I forgot what is your invention in the last grade level that made you into a second place?

Oh yeah good thing you ask I invented the ammunition that doesn’t need of bullet and I call it a laser gun.

That’s nice Dad but I figure mother deserve to win her technology is better than yours. I might sound rude to you so sorry for that because I just want to be honest.

No it’s okay you don’t have to say sorry and I completely understand. You just told me honestly what exactly you want me to hear. Agafya said and bow down his head for a while then he is looking at them.

Mother can you tell me how did you do that and tell me advices to be like you?

You know what Elyseria we’re glad you are a friend of Princess Athenusa. I remember my master told us before. He said we may not belong in a high class school and I may not be the greatest famous master but one thing for sure each one of you have the chance to recognize your inventions by the palace. Just do your best in all ways that you can. Do not be threatened and use your brain wisely because it would help you a lot all throughout your journey. Onward I put it on my mind that I could achieve my goals so that the palace would recognize my invention. The happiness that I felt that time was immeasurable. My dreams in my entire life came true. I’m telling you everything about our stories for you to be aware. I want you to strive harder and also you won’t regret that we are your parents after sharing everything especially where we came from but there are questions that we couldn’t answer directly because this is not yet the right time for you to know about ityou are still young it may disturb your mind. Maarika explain.

Yeah I remember my question a while ago.Don’t worry mother it won’t bother me I’ll wait for the right time. For now I have a lot of ideas to my future invention. I really want to win in my class if you can do it why can’t I. Elyseria said but her questions keep on bugging her mind.

You still have class tomorrow it’s getting late we need to go back at home.

Yes I think we should go now. The chairs bring them outside of the building. They are riding a flying car back to their house. When they got home they parted ways to their own room. Elyseria kisses her parents in the cheeks and her parents kiss her back. She lies down to her bed preparing for tomorrow’s class. Her bed has a massage. She clicks it beside to perform his task and she’s using it sometimes while sleeping. The hands of her bed massage her back then she falls asleep all night.
